I am very well aware of BC’s, but this pup is throwing me off. He is a sable Merle, and I was told he was a BC, though I believe a mix if anything. Possible Aussie or heeler mix? He is the father to my black tri aussie mix pup. Thanks for your help!
I will eventually get a DNA test done, but budget doesn’t allow for it at this time. I got my dog from an oops litter last year. I met the parents and litter mates. Mom is full Aussie. I was told dad was a border collie. I am a BC enthusiast, so I am well aware that they can come in all sorts of colors and whatnot. He is clearly sable, but not sure if he would fit BC - he is 35lbs. I think he would be a mix. However, two of the pups were blue Merle and the Aussie mom was full red. What are your guesses? Including pics of mom, dad, litter mates, and my dog as a pup and now (1 yo). He is roughly 35lbs. Yes, my dog has a tail and it’s fluffy like a plume. Last pic sort of shows it. Thanks for your help!
