8 month old is the hardest age??

Ok month 0-6 was tough with this baby. From colic, to eczema.

Then month 6&7 I was like ahh finally we’re getting past the hard parts.

Now 8 months hits and she’s waking up crying for no reason, doesn’t nap long, doesn’t sleep long at night.
Complains a lot during the day I can tell she wants to be active and practice allll the skills but teeth haven’t even come through yet though she’s showing signs of teething.
Sigh.

When does it get easier!! 1 year mark??

Carli Bybel is checked out..

She seems completely over social media and YouTube at this point. She hasn’t posted any real content in a long time, but she’s constantly doing Instagram question boxes asking what videos people want to see next… and then never actually makes them.

It honestly makes me wonder what she does all day. Social media was basically her job, and she barely posts anymore. Does she have other work behind the scenes, or does she mostly just stay home? I’m genuinely curious how she spends her time now.

TPO antibody 1582.0

TSH 3.33
Free t4 0.53 LOW
Free t3 2.44
Tg antibody 2.7

Waited a long time to see the endo for him to just blow me off and say watch and wait.

Do you think this warrants treatment!? What are your thoughts. Should I cut out gluten?

Carli Bybel was naturally beautiful, what did she do to her face!

Seriously, she doesn’t even look like herself here. She was naturally gorgeous, so I don’t understand why she felt the need to change so much. And the self-tanner is really dark—I think she could tone it down a bit. The contrast is so noticeable that she looks completely different from her sister.

Postpartum thyroiditis - did anyone’s improve without intervention? I want to hear your stories

I have had my tpo antibodies moderately elevated hovering around 200 less for a long time with completely normal thyroid hormones and no symptoms.

Postpartum with my first baby 3 years ago my antibody was the highest it had ever been at 600. Hormones normal. I didn’t change anything.

After the postpartum period the antibodies went back down again.

Now I’m postpartum with my second and antibodies in this postpartum period is like 1300 ish. Definitely higher. (I’m 6 months postpartum). But energy is good, mood is good, I feel well. Only thing is my t4 is now low, but TSH and free t3 still normal.

I’m wondering and hoping everything will normalize by itself once I’m 1 year postpartum.

Or I’m wondering if I should take any measures to lower my antibodies like remove gluten from my diet , take selenium, etc.

I want to hear your stories & advice please!!!

Baby eczema & choosing the right formula question !!

Hi everyone! I’d love to hear your experiences and advice because I’ve been struggling to figure this out.

My baby is now 6 months old and has had eczema since she was about 2 months old. Thankfully, it’s not severe, and I’ve learned how to support her skin barrier well enough to keep it mostly under control. However, she still gets very itchy, and I often have to keep mittens on her to prevent her from scratching herself.

I’ve been breastfeeding since birth, but we’ve experimented with a few different formulas along the way. She seemed to react to Kendamil Organic (cow’s milk formula) and goat milk formula, as both caused flare-ups around her face and mouth. We also tried Pepticate, an extensively hydrolyzed formula that’s considered hypoallergenic for mild to moderate milk protein allergies, but she appeared to react to that as well.

The only formula she seems to tolerate is Neocate, an amino acid-based formula.

At this point, I’m mostly exclusively breastfeeding and have removed dairy from my own diet. However, I’m ready to start weaning and would like to transition her to formula. The problem is that I’m torn on which formula to choose.

While Neocate seems to work for her, it feels very heavily processed to me since the milk proteins are removed and replaced with amino acids and vegetable oils. Ideally, I’d love to use something more “whole food” based, such as a cow or goat milk formula like Kendamil, but obviously her comfort and health come first.

For those of you who have babies with eczema (especially if milk protein sensitivity was involved), what formula did you end up using? Did anyone find that their baby eventually tolerated cow’s milk or goat milk formulas as they got older?

I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences!

My 2nd baby won’t nap. Help!

My first baby never had this issue. I could put her down drowsy but awake in her crib and she’d nap for a solid, age-appropriate amount of time.

My second baby just turned 6 months today and naps have become SO hard. As a sleepy newborn she could sleep anywhere — loud living room, toddler running around, chaos, no problem. Those days are definitely over.

Now I try everything to get her to nap. She falls asleep fine initially, but wakes up 5 minutes later almost every time. Then when I try rocking her back to sleep, she suddenly seems fully awake — eyes wide open, smiling, arching her back trying to look around the room.

I will add, she also has eczema which she sometimes wakes herself up scratching at. It’s not all the time, but frequent enough.

Did anyone else have a baby like this around 6 months? What ended up helping?

Uncommon Hashimoto symptoms before you found out you had it?

First off. My thyroid hormones are normal, but year after year my thyroid antibody TPO-ab is abnormal (except for 1 year). Does that mean I have hashimotos?

I just find it so hard to believe because my thyroid hormones are normal and I overall feel good.

The only things I could attribute to it possibly are I feel like my eyelids are puffy sometimes, ankles, and hair thinning despite normal iron and other labs . Oh and also my stomach will look bloated.
But otherwise energy is good, all else is ok.
