How do I cut this wrist warmer properly?

I have these old wrist warmers and would like to cut a thumb hole in them so I can use them as cool gloves. Does anyone have any tips on the best way to do this with this fabric, or is it not even possible with a fabric like this? I'm worried that if I just cut into it, everything will fray.

Munich Airport suprise Boyfriend

Hi, I'd like to surprise my boyfriend and pick him up at the airport in Munich. He's arriving on a long-distance flight from outside Europe. Is there a spot at the airport where I can wait and where we're guaranteed not to accidentally miss each other? In other words, a place he'll definitely have to pass through? And how do I get there? Or rather, what options are there, and which one do you think is the best?
