Imagine how insane the beef between Rue & Nate could’ve been if they went through w Nate dating Jules

Idk if this is common knowledge but I’ve heard that Nate and Jules was supposed to be a much more dived-into relationship but was bailed on due to existing drama between Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schafer (who portray the characters)

Also that Cassie was a sub in for Jules. It was actually meant to be Jules and Nate, which makes alot more sense to me too. Cassie and Nate did kinda jump forward out of nowhere.

Anyway, I would’ve loved to see the show go this way, and it certainly was in that direction for S1. Nate and Rue are 100% such an underrated dynamic to explore, like their convo at the end of S1 was so interesting to me.

Do you see the hivemind as a shared human consciousness or as a singular entity?

I suppose calling it the hivemind is a bit flawed if I personally think of it as an entity, but since everyone had adapted to using that name I’m just gonna call it that.

Now I do see it as a collective consciousness in a way, but I don’t think anything about the way they act is like EVERYONE’s input. I see it as everyone has their memories and motor skills (like flying a plane) put into this consciousness, but they aren’t actually present as this virus is more like a host entity taking over each person.

That’s why it always made sense to me whenever Zosia or any other hive member would act like weird and non-human in a way through social interactions because it’s like, yea. There’s not a single real person thinking behind those eyes. It’s just this like.. thing.. behind there.

I think simply put, I see it as this entity in every single person that has access to all of humanity’s memories and knowledge prior to the Joining but this entity also lives through people in such a way that it IS humanity, it IS these people. But it’s also not. I know this is a tricky topic and is so hard to communicate so I wanted to hear some opinions! What do you think?

As someone who binged the show years later I really wish I was around for this era

Ik this video has been passed around a million times probably but it just reminded me on how much FOMO I have abt this lol

I mean, I was def not of age to watch GOT per it’s release dates, but damn it makes me wish I was. I was around to experience some of the hype, but specifically only in 2019, and I didn’t watch the show around then obv.

I don’t think we’ll see another series like this for a long time, (maybe never again) the cultural phenomenon it became was crazy. There has been some big shows in the past few years, but like- literally nothing compares to the viewership of GOT. I’d love to hear some stories if yall got them!

hey guys I am currently filling out the housing forms and am stuck on going with a 4 person dorm (so 3 roommates) or a 5-6 person dorm (4-5 roommates).

i am a social person and i thrive in groups usually over 4 people, but wasn’t sure if the 5-6 person first year dorms are good or not. I feel like alot of people go with 2-3 roommates, so you don’t hear much about the 4-5 roommate range. i personally love the idea of more roommates because i feel that it’d make my experience much better. i’m honestly good with only 3 others but was interested in 4-5 roommates too.

if anyone has some experience or tips pls drop them!!

some questions for the 5-6 person first year dorms: are they spacious enough? is it like apartment styled? would i have to bunk bed? are there very few of them or are they decently common? do they always come with in-suite bathrooms?

and my main question: if i selected 3 roommates as a preference on the form, is it possible i might be assigned only 2 instead if all quads are full? or would they go up instead?

Past 2 months I kinda realized that the best people (atleast to me) that I meet are the most down to earth, honest people.

Doesn’t mean you have to be a saint, but if you stop doing little white lies everyday, you break your boundaries down and open yourself up as a person, which people find intriguing.

Example, usually my go-to saying when someone asks “How was your day?” is “It was good.”

But that’s so boring and usually not even true, like maybe my day really was shit. So, why not just be upfront abt it?

“My day was a little boring. I was going to do ____ but didn’t get to it”. Or something like that. Guess what? That opens up a conversation and it IMMEDIATELY makes the other person feel more comfortable around you.

Talk to everyone as your most authentic, honest self. It is really hard to start obviously, but the next time someone asks you one of those basic questions like “How’s it going?” just be as honest as you can be. Then see how it goes!
