Can I bring my own umbrella or tent to the beaches?

I know this may sound silly but I’ll be visiting for the 5th time in September and never seen anyone have their own umbrellas or tents okay the beaches. I only ever see the ones you can rent so I’m wondering if it’s allowed. Beaches are public so I know this may be a stupid question!

Lack of sleep while manic

I’m now fully accepting that I’m manic because I’m writing this at 1:36am. I took 200mg of extended release Seroquel at 8pm that should’ve knocked me out by 10pm at the latest.

Do you have any tips or tricks to help yourself fall asleep when manic even if you aren’t tired or not wanting to settle down?

I’ve always had tricks for getting my mind to rest, back when I thought my restlessness was due to anxiety. Seems like now that my Bipolar symptoms have fully devolved, I just don’t want to do anything to help myself fall asleep, besides taking my Seroquel. I rely on that med to regulate my sleep so I’m annoyed that it’s not working right now…

My sleep is extremely important to me. I love sleeping to be honest which adds to my annoyance right now. I went out today, got outside and walked around for a few hours. Did some chores. Makes it more difficult to comprehend the fact that I’m wide awake. At least I know what’s causing this to happen. I also have a lot going on tomorrow which makes me wish I had fallen asleep when originally planned so I could get up a decent time tomorrow.

When I’m manic I either can’t fall asleep and then have a really hard time getting up the next day and sleep until noon or I fall asleep at a good time but I’m restless throughout the night and wake up at a decent time.

Anyways, if you made it this far thanks for reading my rambling thoughts and oversharing!!

Should I do a consultation?

I found the surgeon I’d love to work with if a consultation goes well, however, I’m currently losing weight and would like to lose 30 more pounds… I refuse to get my surgery before losing weight, but I wonder if I should have a consultation now and get a feel for the surgeon or wait until I’ve lost 30 more pounds.

The surgeon offers free consultations on Mondays and Fridays, so I’m not worried about cost of consultation.

Also, had anyone ever gotten approved my insurance and then lost that amount to weight? What happened?

Honeymoon in September

Planning a week long trip and looking for ideas from locals. This will be my 4th visit and my soon to be husband’s 1st time.

My mom’s family is from Barbados, but she left when she was 6 so other than seeing family ideas are slim,,, I don’t want EVERY thing we do to feel touristy.
