Best way to keep CobaltFlux pads from sliding on carpet?

I have a pair of CobaltFlux pads arranged for doubles, on a custom-built plywood base. During play, the platform keeps gradually sliding on the medium-pile carpet (always away and to the left, for some reason). I tried putting a mat underneath that was made of the same type of rubberized foam as the mats you can buy as cabinet liners, and it reduced the sliding but didn't eliminate it.

I'm thinking the next step is to buy some vinyl runners (with small carpet-gripping spikes) and staple it to the bottom of the platform. Is there a better solution? If not, is there a style of runner that is recommended?

How to enable Rapid Cooling/Hot Flash mode on "tap sensor" covers

I received an e-mail about the Rapid Cooling mode (which seems to be the same thing as Hot Flash mode), and it mentions that it can be enabled from the bedside control.

I followed the "Learn more" and "How it works" links from the e-mail, but it just takes me to the main website landing page. I tried searching the website, but all the results are basically product sales copy, with no operational instructions to be found.

I see that newer Pod models have a 3-button interface, but my Pod has the good ol' slap sensor (slap twice for cooler, thrice for hotter). Is it possible to turn on Rapid Cooling mode through this sensor? I don't want to have to open the phone app.

Stacking skills from items

It is my understanding that if you have Dragon shield + Hand of Justice weapon, you get (LV14+LV16=) LV30 Holy Fire aura, and it hits twice per tick; if you add a Dragon armor, it's (LV14+LV16+LV14=) LV44 Holy Fire, and it hits three times per tick.

My question is about wearing Brand bow (100% chance to cast LV18 Bone Spear on striking) with Bone armor (15% chance to cast LV10 Bone Spear on striking). Does this mean that you have a 100% chance to cast LV28 Bone Spear on striking, or 85% chance to cast LV18 and 15% chance to cast LV28? Do you cast one Bone Spear on striking, or two? Or is it some other outcome entirely?

Questions about Holy Fire Aura from Dragon runeword

  1. Does +All Skills (e.g. SoJ) or +Fire Skills (e.g. Magefist) increase the Holy Fire aura damage?
What about a +Fire Skills (Sorceress Only) amulet while playing Sorceress?

  2. Does the "+140-270 fire damage" from Horazon gloves increase the base Holy Fire aura damage?

When is the most optimal time to start doing pub TZ96 games for fastest exp?

I'm familiar with this guide which recommends Hell Act 4 from LV83-94 (and I'm stopping at 94), but it doesn't account for 1) higher player counts and 2) terror zones.

So - stipulating that the build is strong enough to kill at a respectable clip regardless - how does the exp penalty affect a LV83-94 character in a TZ96 zone, and how is it affected by player count? So far, I've been doing solo TZs (mostly spamming tombs in Act 2 for heralds) but I wouldn't mind some more optimized exp.

Is there any reason to level past 94?

Obviously you will get the extra stat+skill points if you keep going, but AFAIK you want to get to 93 to gamble+craft amulets, and you want to get to 94 to be able to spawn capped LV96 terror zones solo. Is there another benefit to leveling past 94 that I'm not aware of?

I'm trying to decide whether it's better to keep going on my main, or to get as many characters to 94 as I can.

Most disliked members of the Dolphins organization?

I was thinking about the members of the Dolphins that I have had the most disdain for and I realized none of them are players. For me, it's always management.

My top 3 are Nick Saban, Brian Flores, and Jeff Ireland, with an honorable mention for Joe Philbin.

- Saban was a lying dirtbag and made two separate horrible decisions (Ronnie over Rodgers*, Culpepper over Brees) that greatly impacted the course of the franchise
- Flores ran the recent first-round pick Minkah out of town where he immediately became a multiple-time All-Pro, then his snitching on the way out cost MIA a draft pick (Ross is also to blame, but I cut him some slack for trying too hard to win)
- Ireland presided over (and had a direct hand in) the Bullygate fiasco, and set fire to whatever green shoots existed from the 2008 team; he did not make the playoffs a single time after Parcells took off the training wheels

I picked Philbin over someone like Cameron because Cameron never got a chance to right the ship. Philbin had ample opportunity to show that he simply had no clue what he was doing.

*note: I recognize that Saban was one of 23 front offices to pass on Rodgers, but Saban had just come from college and should have had an advantage in evaluating current NCAA talent

Interaction between Fists of Fire and Thorns aura

If you're running a dual Mosaic assassin with >=34 points in Fists of Fire (so 100% of physical damage is converted to fire damage) and you attack a monster with Thorns aura, does the lack of physical damage on your melee attack mean you take no damage from Thorns?

If not, it seems like Martial Arts assassins would have a very rough time dealing with any Heralds that have Thorns.
