Craving a vibey and mature Jdorama like First Love, Silent, etc.

Like the title says, I’m seeking my next Jdorama to watch with a similar feeling to First Love. I prefer Jdoramas that are more recent (within the past decade), with a focus on atmosphere / cinematography, and a more mature story (not goofy or comical, older than high school). Open to movie recommendations as well!

Here are my favourites so far:

First Love
Silent
Nevertheless: Shapes of Love
Beyond Goodbye
My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday (movie)

Any recs are greatly appreciated!

How often do you wash your baby’s / toddler’s hands for hygiene?

I have a history of severe health anxiety but have made huge progress over the past couple years, becoming a more relaxed parent than I thought possible. That being said, I know my brain still trends in that direction and I’m curious to know how other parents handle germs.

I washed our son’s hands fairly regularly when he started crawling at 6 months because we have a dog and struggle to keep the floor as clean as I would like, and after he would interact with people in busy places since I knew his immune system was still developing. But now that he’s 1 and walking around and very fast at putting things in his mouth all day long, I’ve relaxed a bit because it would just be impossible to keep up.

I also am aware that dirt and germ exposure is important, and I feel he gets plenty of that (like putting gravel into his mouth at the playground before I can stop him 🤢). But now I’m wondering — how much germ exposure is too much? I used to wash his hands before every meal but I’ve been more relaxed about that too lately and am starting to second guess myself. Obviously if he touches something very gross I try to wash or wipe, but what about after time spent out in public, or being outside, or playing with the dog, etc?

Would love to hear how old your child is and how you approach this as I’m sure there’s a range of perspectives.

Drying up at 11 months and feeling like a terrible mom

My supply took a huge nosedive once my son turned 11 months. He gets a good feed in the morning, but I estimate I’m producing maybe 1 - 2 ounces at his other feeds the rest of the day. We feed four times a day. Sometimes my slacker boob don’t even get a letdown and he only gets one side.

For a while I thought maybe it was just another weird week connected to my cycle, so I pushed through and tried the usual things that worked in the past: coconut water, pasta, etc. But it never improved.

I’ve been feeling alone and confused this month because I haven’t been able to find much information on this and don’t know any moms who went through it. It feels too late in the game to talk to an LC. So I just kept waiting for it to get better like it always did in the past.

My son turns one this coming weekend, so I’ve been pushing through until then but feeling horribly guilty. He has been eating three solid meals a day for months and drinks water too now, so he looks healthy, but I’m wondering if he’s been missing out on crucial nutrition. A loved one just sent me a video of a mom who started formula at 11.5 months and now I’m freaking out because I wonder if that’s what I should have done.

My son’s one year doctor’s appointment is next week but my regular female doctor is on mat leave and I don’t like the male doctor very much… hopefully he’ll still be helpful to talk to about it.

Wondering if anyone else went through this and if I should have been more proactive about supplementing with formula or being more on top of increasing my supply. The guilt is so huge right now and it feels too late to do anything. Do I go out and buy formula even though his first birthday is a week away?

to whoever set off fireworks in my neighbourhood at 12 am

Thanks. It’s been over an hour and I can’t get my panicked baby back to sleep.

Sincerely, tired mom who already had a really difficult day.

Edit: sigh, 2 hours now…

no one warned me…

That a postpartum period would be so heavy you think it must be an emergency.

I’m 10 months pp. I’ve had three periods since giving birth, all fairly light. I thought that’s what I could expect going forward while EBF. I was wrong.

I just had my 4th period last week. I woke my husband up in the middle of the night because I thought I was losing so much blood I thought I would have to get medical attention. Just the act of taking a deep breath made me feel like I was hemorrhaging. This went on for 48 hours. I was too scared to leave the house because I knew I would bleed through everything.

I’ve had heavy periods since I was a teen. But nothing like this. Why did no one warn me??

Thank goodness for iron supplements. The level of exhaustion I felt that week was like pregnancy all over again.
