I am an adam fan, I like his design and voice, I don't like how shallow he is despite being possibly one of the most ancient and crucial characters in the hazbin lore.

Like fuck he's the first man, he's almost as ancient as lucifer himself!

However even if he was more complex or had more depth he would still be in the wrong for advocating genocide and its something his glazers are forgetting which is concerning

Its okay for adam to be wrong! You can give a character depth by explaining why said character holds their beliefs and disproving them thru other characters, look at most avatar antagonists! Look at Hama and Jet who are only superficially correct about their assessment of the fire nation, or sokka as well at times lumping all fire nation citizens as evil.

Like if sera can be misguided adam can as well, there is no reason why any of these heaven characters are as shallow as they are other than the writers lazyness in exploring said characters, poor foresight fron their part and the cast being bloated as hell.

I will always hold the belief adam should've been a season 2 or 3 antagonist, lingering as a looming threat for the future.
