Comparing the different perfusion programs

If you feel comfortable sharing, I would love to know:

  1. Which program you attended?

  2. How many years ago?

  3. What do you think sets them apart from all the other programs?

OL final exam timeline?

Took an OL course as a prerequisite for a program, now I'm still waiting on my final exam and one component of the class to be marked. I read that instructors have 5 business days to submit marks. Is this true for TRU OL courses as well? Anything I can do to try to speed up the process, as I'm undera tight deadline for a competitive grad program?

Thanks

Non-pet owner really wanting a bengal

I really want to adopt a bengal but I'm torn because I've never had a cat or any pet for that matter. But I absolutely adore bengals. I know they are a bit high maintenance and can become destructive if bored, so I thought I'd ask here:

If you're going back to work soon, have younger kids, and might be moving soon - is it a bad idea to get a bengal at this moment? Should I just wait till things are a bit more settled in life before trying to adopt a bengal? There are a few available right now in local adoption centres and I'd rather adopt than buy from any breeder.

Thank you so much

SUNY and science faculty LOR

Anyone who got accepted/know of anyone who got accepted to SUNY without the highly recommended science faculty letter of recommendation?

I have someone who'd be willing to write me one, but I haven't been in school in a while, so weighing if I should go for much stronger professional LORs that can also speak to their knowledge of my academic abilities

TN approval after spouse denied entry and issued withdrawal of application

My husband may have a job offer soon, and he'd be applying for a TN visa. I'd be applying for the TD, and we also have 2 young kids. We are all Canadian citizens, I and my children are born citizens, my husband is naturalized (Bachelor's done back home, Master's completed in Canada, and he's been a Canadian citizen for about 5 years now).

About a week ago, I was denied entry via a land POE for an observership and issued a withdrawal of application. Basically, they said I couldn't enter as I'm not a medical student or international medical doctor. I had no idea about the restrictions and the hospital who had invited me didn't issue any formal paperwork to declare I wasn't doing any direct patient work, that it's strictly an observational experience, etc.

My question is - will this withdrawal of application affect my husband's chances of obtaining a TN visa and/or for me getting a TD visa? I was the only one who had to go through the whole fingerprints and submitting a cheek swab..

MATH 1141 online learning

It's been a while since I did calculus. How's the final exam for MATH 1141 (online learning)? Are there foundational things you need to review? Is it similar to the assignments?

Thanks in advance!
