General information for a newbie

Hello everyone,

Pardon my ignorance. I know nothing about Kyrgyzstan. A random post from this sub showed up in my feed 🤷🏻‍♀️ This was ten minutes ago, and it piqued my interest.

Checking some information about this country on the vast internet left me a bit confused, so, I thought to just come here and ask the good people, for now, just one question.

Btw, it looks like an amazingly beautiful country. It left me in AWE.

How would one immigrate to Kyrgyzstan as an expat? Is it only by work permit? Or student visa? Any other options? I’m interested in the “Any other options” part.

Thank you for your help 🙏

Childhood Truama

You know, I've heard so many times that a caregiver who hits a child (which is wrong) or verbally or emotionally is abusive (which is wrong) will cause trauma. But I think that is not the case.

I believe it's the lack of support and a safe space in a child's life that leaves lasting injury. It's the lack of "Emotional Support" that destroys a child. Because the only thing a child understands is his or her emotions. They know nothing about logic.

If a bully pushed me and I fell and broke a bone, it won't heal by itself. A child wouldn't know how to heal a broken bone. It can only heal if there is help.

Leave when love is not served

This is for anyone who feels confused about others’ actions and questions their own sanity. I’ll repeat the quote I’ve used in reply to many posts here ❤️

"I don't like who I am when I engage in this relationship" is a 100% valid reason to end, or plan on ending, a relationship with a person, job, therapist, political party, or habit. You do not "owe" loyalty to relationships that harm your goals or are inconsistent with your values."

I hope this is ok to post. And the reason I decided to do this is because I’ve seen many participants of this sub talking about loss of identity, depression, etc.

This has been my personal experience, this “dark night of the soul”, and through it, I learned so much about myself, the physical world, and it was exactly like waking up from a long dream.

I‘m not sure if this can help others. I hope it will.

I’ll paste a few paragraphs of a video I’m going to share, and if you have time, watch it too.

“The “dark night of the soul” is a term that goes back a long time.  Yes, I have also experienced it.  It is a term used to describe what one could call a collapse of a perceived meaning in life…an eruption into your life of a deep sense of meaninglessness.  The inner state in some cases is very close to what is conventionally called depression.  Nothing makes sense anymore, there’s no purpose to anything.  Sometimes it’s triggered by some external event, some disaster perhaps, on an external level.  The death of someone close to you could trigger it, especially premature death, for example if your child dies.  Or you had built up your life, and given it meaning – and the meaning that you had given your life, your activities, your achievements, where you are going, what is considered important, and the meaning that you had given your life for some reason collapses.

It can happen if something happens that you can’t explain away anymore, some disaster which seems to invalidate the meaning that your life had before.  Really what has collapsed then is the whole conceptual framework for your life, the meaning that your mind had given it.  So that results in a dark place.  But people have gone into that, and then there is the possibility that you emerge out of that into a transformed state of consciousness.”

▲ 36 r/Gifted

Being twice-exceptional (2e) basically means you’re walking a tightrope between extraordinary ability and real challenges. For some people, the gift is obvious, like a dazzling intellect, creativity, or talent in a specific area. For others, it’s subtle, hiding under layers of stress, anxiety, or social/organizational difficulties.

So, many people grew up, in toxic enviorenments, feeling completely lost, incompetent in situations that demand routine, focus, or emotional stability. They never discovered their gifts.

The thing about 2e people is, they don’t fit the mold. The brilliance is there but it’s tangled with challenges. The mind operates on a level and wavelength that most environments aren’t built for.

So, this is for whoever (He or She) that didn’t recognize their gifts, and they were not nurtured or realized by anyone:

”There’s a mind full of ideas and feelings. It sees things others miss, feels emotions others avoid, and imagines worlds few can think of. This mind is special, shining bright and thinking in unique ways.

But being smart isn’t always easy. It can get mixed up with nerves, worries, and pressure from a world that often doesn’t understand intense people. The same mind that can turn a quick look into poetry might struggle with daily tasks, feel overwhelmed by strict rules, or go unnoticed when its true value isn’t recognized.

This person has a heart that seeks truth. She feels deeply, asks many questions, and wants places where she can be herself. Some days, the chaos of the world affects her; other days, her imagination takes her to great heights.

She has both passion and kindness, a mix of gifts and challenges. In quiet moments, in her thoughts and creative spaces, she finds her rhythm. She writes, laughs, dreams, judges, and turns words into stories.

In those times, her brilliance and struggles exist together, showing she’s truly unique. Not just because of the chaos, but because of it. And through the ups and downs, she learns that her complexity isn’t a burden, but it’s her guide.

It helps her navigate a world that feels too small for her big mind, reminding her that being fully herself isn’t just about surviving, it’s a skill.”
