Is this a devil corp?

Meridian Group Middlesbrough

I found out what a devil corp is about 30 minutes ago when I searched up 'ownerville' and this reddit came up.

I have recently dropped out of uni and started to apply to loads of roles after feeling down on my luck.

I've had 3 rounds of zoom 'interviews' (1st round was a big group and was just talked too, the 2nd round was with a manager, and the 3rd was with the senior leader), was given the job within a week and felt this job was almost too good to be true.

I am set to attend a 'Meet and Greet' session on Friday before a 2 week crash course on sales.

I'm nearly certain it is a Devil Corp however there's a couple things which make me a little doubtful

Everyone I spoke to seemed nice and they were mostly young people and so the fast track to upper management kind of made sense. On Linkedin the employees were all uni qualified and had simillar career projections to what was advertised. And they were honest about high hours, average base pay with unlimited comp.

However the big red flag is that I'm no means qualified to be a trainee manager, I was quickly given a job (1 week) and all the interviews were on zoom. I initially felt like it may have been a fake job but now I'm closer to believing it's a devil corp.

Any conformation would be great. I'd also like to know is it that bad to work at a devil corp? I don't mind the long hours really and sales isn't something I'm against. As well as this I could do with a job and salary, even just to put on my cv. I want to get an accounting apprenticeship so something like this might be useful?

Many thanks for reading my waffle and if you need any more info then let me know.

Studying AAT alongside University Degree

Is it reasonable to self-study AAT alongside a degree? I'm set to start studying classical history because it's something I'm very passionate about; however, there aren't many job opportunities. I'm considering becoming AAT qualified to support my future employment.

However, I'm worried about whether this is feasible or whether I will get burned out. Has anyone done something similar, or know of someone who has?

Getting started

I've been looking to start studying AAT level 2 for a few weeks now but getting started has been hard for me.

Do I simply just buy a book, study it and then book a test when I feel ready or is there more to it then that?

Level 2 accounting apprenticeship

Is it worth applying for and completing a Level 2 AAT apprenticeship, or is it better to wait for a potential Level 3 opening? Is it worth sending speculative offers to local accounting businesses, or is the success rate extremely low?

I started but did not complete a finance and accounting degree (dropped out in semester 2 of first year). Can I still apply for apprenticeships in this field, as I know the rules on apprenticeships in the same field are a bit dubious?

You are in a flat with you and your husband. You can interact with objects in order to try avoid being murdered. If you fail the day repeats and you can try something new. Certain things that can happen are putting sleeping pills in a drink, hiding in a cupboard and calling the police. All with a different fail. Once you survive the day the game is compleyed and cuts to a cutscene which involves clocks in some capacity. The graphics are realistic.

Some of the info will be iffy and if it helps I remember Simon Miniminter playing this game.

I’ve decided to drop out of my first year at university as I haven’t enjoyed it, and I’m now looking to move into an apprenticeship—ideally accounting (Level 3 or higher), but I’m open to other business-related roles too.

I’ve started applying for Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeships as a backup, but I have a few questions:

  1. Do more accounting (especially Level 6) apprenticeships typically open later in the summer or for autumn starts?
  2. If not, is it worth doing a Level 3 Business Admin apprenticeship in the meantime?
  3. If I start a Business Admin apprenticeship and later get an accounting offer, can I leave early without major issues?

Any advice or experiences would be really appreciated. I'm 20 if that is important
