Cannabis Breeding Intro/Explanations

An idea came to mind. I have a pack of regular seeds that I would like to continue to keep growing. I pop the seeds, select the best male based on vigor/size/etc, collect the pollen, and use that to get seeds from the best female selected. This would provide at least a few more dozen seeds, which I would assume are viable and don't have negative consequences regarding things like herming and whatnot. I use those seeds to continue growing the strain I like and repeating the process for more seeds later.

Of course cloning a specific plant I like is always an option as well (which I've also never done). Anyways, I don't see an beginners explainer thread or anything on this subreddit and was wondering if anyone can point to a breeding/cloning for dummies thread/youtube video.

Thanks yall

Splitting flocks?

I ordered sheep and cattle. I'd like to have them split between two pastures. One with cattle, one with sheep. An option for pastures to accept certain livestock would be nice. Now I have to fields full of mixed. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter much, but it would be nice.

Organic sources for Calcium and Magnesium (top dressing)

Yes, I know, another calcium/magnesium thread. I'm using Recipe 420 potting soil, which comes per-amended. However, the SoiLab guys did a video where they actually have nutrients tested and it seems calcium and magnesium or left for wanting. I don't plan on dousing it, just a tablespoon of each. I'm top dressing next weekend and figured I would supplement the low levels now before it might become an issue later. As of now, things are fine but I'm worried that can change.

I plan on running by the nursery and wanted to know decent sources for each. Dolomite Lime came to mind, but from I'm reading, it will increase soil ph, which I want to avoid. I'm leaning toward epsom salt and gypsum at this point, but wanted other opinions before I go through with it.
