Someone on reddit shared their awkward childhood picture. So I painted it 😂
I am still working on proportions but happy overall with how it turned out. It’s so silly.

Hi everyone! I’m still getting the hang of digital painting but I wanted to get some thoughts on a process question.
Sometimes, I use the reference image to lay out my base layer, just to get the proportions right. I’m practicing without it too, but when I want to make sure I really nail it for the receiver of the painting, I “cheat” by using the image, like in the video I included.
So my question: is this cheating? Is it just a clever use of the tool? My goal is to not need it in the future but I’m not quite there when it comes to pets and people.
I’m trying to get a feel for the different paint style brushes that procreate has built in. This one is the gouache bottlenose brush.
Everyone here was kind about my dog paintings from yesterday so I wanted to share today’s practice 😊 I am stoked with the movement that it seems to have. Getting poses right is hard for me! I’m open to feedback! And I included the inspiration from instagram.
The first one is my first attempt with the oil brush selection and they are chronological from there. Open to feedback!
Reward? The sticker is the reward!
I had so much fun designing my own DCC fan art that I had to turn it into a sticker. Now everything I own is covered in the same sticker. Help!
I’ve been playing around with a design for a car decal and I’d love feedback on the colors and layout. I’ve been staring at it too long and I tend to like really bright colors.
I included some of the steps I took to get to the current iteration.
Thanks in advance for any insight and ideas!
I’m working on a design to paint on my husband’s truck and this is my current version of our Havanese, Seymour. He hates getting his picture taken but I still sneak them for references to paint. I did this in the app procreate in case anyone is curious about that kind of thing.
I planted Mayapples from a local nursery last year and they came back!! They have such a short life before they wither that I wasn’t sure if they’d make it but they’re beauties this year! I love that they each have one cute little flower!
