Tip out

I am the GM of a breakfast restaurant opening end of this month. I’m currently working on how I would like to pay my support staff. Out of curiosity what tip-out percentages do you run? And how is it split? (Host, Expo, runner, Busser)

Thank you.

Cat neurological issues

My 11 year old male cat has some type of neurological issue. I took him to a vet who refers me to neurology, which I cannot afford. In honestly just can’t decide what his quality of life is ti determine if he is miserable or not. I don’t want to keep him suffering by no means and dont want to make the decision too early. He has progressively picked up the following signs.
- turns ONLY in counter clockwise circles when walking. Spins so quickly when excited I have to stop him so he doesn’t get dizzy and fall over. He does this in the mornings when I wake up and it’s time for breakfast he spins what seems uncontrollable and I have to physically stop him and place him in from of his food bowl and hold him steady.
- drooling
- no longer likes to go out in the sun in the balcony or lay in the bed. His 2 favorite spots.
- some incidents of not using the litter box
- weight loss
- fixed pupils
- pretty sure blind and deaf on right side. And he can’t turn his head or look to the right at all
- doesn’t catch himself when he falls. And he is very unbalanced now and doesn’t catch home self. I no longer allow him on furniture alone.
- will go into the bedroom and yowl like he’s lost and confused and have to go get him.

He still sits in my lap and purrs. But I don’t feel that he is the same cat he was.

I don’t know what I’m asking but any advice is welcome. Thank you.

New restaurant

I am going to be the General Manager of a breakfast/brunch restaurant opening in the heart of downtown Knoxville. I’ll have about 2.5 months of training with this company when we open my store. I have a General Manager experience, but this is my first time in the fast paced breakfast. What advice/tips do you have to help with a smooth-ish opening and not absolutely bomb at the amount of business we will do? Just really want to do well and make sure my bases are covered!

Labor and wages Tennessee

TN is an at will state. I voluntarily left my job April 29th. Due to ignorant and disrespectful new ownership. No notice. I was deactivated within 30 seconds of then receiving my notice due to them being upset as I ran multiple stores of theirs. That means my payroll is deactivated, so they had to cut me a paper check. They chose to mail it. For some reason it was retuned. I am on day 21 of not having my check since leaving. I have asked them to cancel and leave a new check at a location where I can pick it up and they have refused and placed the responsibility of finding my check on me. Not having my check in a timely manner has put me at risk of losing my vehicle. I also have a screenshot of where prior to leaving I had put in for a time adjustment request as I showed up earlier than scheduled for a deep cleaning task. They denied the request. How do I proceed? Thank you for any information!

11 year old cat question

I have an 11 year old male cat. I’ve had him pretty much his whole life. I’ve noticed recently he has started turning in clockwise circle when walking. He can still walk in a straight line and no other balance or mobility issues. He will also spin in the circle when just standing out your feet. But it’s only counter clockwise every-time. Should I be concerned?
