I got this for 170 at jerrys my local store and love it. I wanted the 870 because most of my tools are DeWalt, but now I'm finding better deals on Milwaukee lately. I had the m12 surge but gave it to my boss for his bday. He is also DeWalt tools only, but we both tried the m12 surge out last week for the 1st time, and we both loved it. I loved it so much I had to get this. I'm finding myself buying more Milwaukee nowdays. I used this all day and feel like it was worth adding to the collection
Picked up some good deals this weekend on some packout and m12
I mainly have DeWalt tools, but I built a kit for home, and I find myself buying more Milwaukee lately. Well mainly m12, the only m18 is the impact I got a few weeks ago in a smoking deal. I love the packout system, and slowly converting from toughsystem 2.0 to pack out. I really want s pack out just for my inside ratchet. Any recommendations?
So I used the tools in the packout, and tough system to assist my boss. He has been a great mentor and I have not only learned to make custom projects, but operate a business. This is just some of the projects I am fortunate to be apart of and build my craftsman ship skills. We used the 18g crown stapler, 18g brad nailer a lot on this project. And I find myself buying more packout then tough system lately. But tools used, DeWalt 71/4 dcs361b, dcn681, dcf 845, dcn680 to name a few tools we used. I am gonna start posting once a week showing new projects previously done projects, and the tools used for each project. And my tools are gonna look clean and brand new after each job.
Being we do a little of everything, I make sure to have every tool for any job. Today we built a lumber rack, and dint use any of these. My m12 tools gave the DeWalt tools a break. I carry 4 bags with me and my coworker the same. Our crew found out we never over pack because now we have pretty much every tool for any job we do. My other 2 bags are my batteries and packout with the stubby, 3/8 sockets, inside ratchet, m18 gen 4 drill. Like I said I'm trying to find the best tool for every job I do. And this is what works for me
I been apart of so many projects with recycled material, using for the most part DeWalt 20v, few Milwaukee, metabo, and Ryobi tools. And I been trying to gather the ultimate package for the average contractor. And I find that DeWalt is my go to..metabo has great nail guns tho, Milwaukee m12 has uses for finish work. I can name every tool I have used this year, and how many projects I have built and been apart of like this slash bar/office..and i still manage to have my tools look brand new. I look at it like an investment, and having pride in my tools as much as my work I do. I'm not a weekend warrior but my tools probly look as nice as there's. On one of my posts I laugh because some1 wanted to say my tools don't look used. Well this is one example of how much I use my tools. I have built houses, remodeled so many houses, mobile homes, built decks, built shops, paint booths, sheds, and I will say this, I love my job, and I love my tools and will gladly clean my tool at the end of each day. DeWalt has been keeping money in my pocket and my bills paid. But I still have Milwaukee m12 tools, and just picked up the gen4 fuel m18 drill combo, was too good of a deal to pass up. I'm all about what tool makes the job easier and if I can find a good deal, it's worth it to me to give it a try. $200 out the door for the set. And I been working on videos to share the projects we been working on and the tools used for the project. Not just drilling into a board the fastest
Today me and my co worker used the 860 and I still have 3 bars on my 1.7 ps battery.
Today we set 2 mobile homes and today we had to pull tires and axles. I tried my lil 3/8 compact stubby, it took the tires off but couldn't get the axles off, so I pulled out the 891 and they came off like butter
What drill do I use the most. The 794 believe it are not is my main drill. I love having the 1007 but I rarely use the drill for my line of work. I honestly want the 804 or 805. I rarely find myself using drills lately. I use my m12 and 794 daily. I hate to say it but I been using m12 more lately on the daily. I'm trying to put together the ultimate package for my line of work. Lately we been doing a lot of framing, siding, and hoardy board. But being that it's starting to get hot out, we will probly be shifting to inside work. I'm still deciding on what skillsaw to go with, the atomic sawzall is my daily go to for them. I have the atomic skillsaw, 6.5, and the 71/4 XR skillsaw I'm trying for my daily. I'm trying to share what works best for me to give insight to fellow contractors like myself. For pulling axles on mobile homes I been using the DeWalt midtorque, and the 1/2 stubby. The 921 atomic was not enough for me personally. Don't get me wrong the 921 did the job, but I love the mid torque. For decking and framing I'm using the 860, for the hoardy board my m12 and 850 seem to work great. The 860 does belly board well. My coworker runs his Milwaukee m18 impact but switched to the 860 for his daily, and his backup is a metabbo. He also switched his main drill to a 1007. For angle grinders I been running the atomic, and he runs his m18 fuel. Between the 2 we been testing Milwaukee, metabo, rigid, he uses Ryobi, and DeWalt. I'm trying Milwaukee, and metabo, but for most tools DeWalt. My favorite battery is the powerpack 4ah, as my coworker is starting to love it as well. Any other recommendations on what else to experiment with let me know, I will try to get my hands on the tool
