Blackwater Series by Michael McDowell

Would really recommend these books if you see them anywhere! If Stephen King's a fan of a horror series then it's a good one!

Interview Help

Hi everyone!

I'm currently studying AAT level 3 and I have a job interview next Tuesday for a Cluster Accounts Assistant and was hoping to get some tips because there're some things that I'm not sure about.

1.Up-to-date knowledge of accounting and finance practice and procedures.

I passed my exam on tax processes so I already have some knowledge of that but are there any other procedures that I should be aware of for a role like this?

  1. Keep abreast of industry news / performance / relevant new initiatives.

Just anything in general that I could use, tbh I'm not sure what sites are best for industry news other than googling "accounting news" The job's for Leonardo Hotels.

  1. Working knowledge of SAP and Procure Wizard as well as a strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, Opera and Simphony.

Microsoft is easy but never heard of things like SAP or Opera and Simphony so any information on those would be really appreciated!

Thanks for reading and for any advice you guys can give me! Sorry if any of this is obvious stuff that I should know, truth be told I'm not expecting to get this job but I'm just happy to get some interview experience!

How about a few rounds of cards, Gwent specifically?

Only found out about this at the start of the week, got bored of playing the same decks over and over again online! Just need to find people to play with lol 🤣

Level 2 Tutor

Hi everyone, I'm currently doing level 3 but for various reasons I've just hit a wall when it comes to studying and I haven't been able to get into a good flow for a while now.

I did well in Level 2 and to try and spark my interest again I'd like to offer to help anybody who's struggling with anything in Level 2, no matter how big or small.

My marks in the exams were

Intro to Bookkeeping - 86%

Principles of Bookkeeping Controls - 94%

Principles of Costing - 89%

The Business Environment -81%

I'm not asking for any money, just trying to get out of a rut.

Corgi and Jack Russell mix

This was our family dog Harvey. Sadly he suddenly came ill and passed away in 2016 when he was only 4 years old but he gave us the happiest 4 years imaginable!
