What to do with a DX80

I work in education and funding isn't exactly plentiful. We recently shut down an office and among the equipment returned are a few DX80 units. I setup one up on my desk to see if it's worth keeping. The unit went total EoL at the end of January and as such, it does work but not well. It's a nice external monitor and it can join meetings but there's no controls access to the controls anymore so I can't switch between the monitor feed and the meeting feed. Unfortunately, I can't leave or end a meeting I'm in unless I restart the unit with the power button. I can't access the setting from the device's IP address because I don't have a login. We left our on-prem CUCM so there's nothing to register it to locally. Is this just a fancy screen now or is there anything else I can use it for?

A classic 45 and some classic Bogart

In a noir mood tonight.... A glass of whiskey, a Colt M1917, and a little Bogart (The Big Sleep). The M1917, was a bit of a mess when I got her. Someone finished in an ode to black paint finish. I stripped her and left her in the white, a real "working man's finish". One of the previous owners had bent the crane so badly it couldn't close. My father put a New Service crane and cylinder (45LC) in her, but when I got her, I hunted for a few years to find the parts to restore her back to 45ACP. As Bon Scott once said, "She ain't exactly pretty, she ain't exactly small..."

Friendly competitors

I have a couple of 1903 Pocket Models and I love them. I've recently been interested in the Remington Model 51. Here's a picture of my two "2nd year of production" pistols. The Colt is from 1904 and the Remington from 1919.

C and Arsenal short on the Eagle

Hmm, interesting... I like collectable/vintage firearms and I follow a YouTube channel called C and Arsenal who do some incredibly in depth reviews of vintage guns. They just released a short on the Desert Eagle. Typically, this means there's a much more in depth video coming. https://youtu.be/ZbSMzK56yVU

1918 Black Army 1911. My dad was NYPD back in the 60's and 70's. He took this off a perp. It's been modified by an old school gunsmith in NY, and dad carried it as an off duty gun
