CPG Grey connected to Nebula? Who knew?

Maybe I just missed this when it was happening, but did you know that Grey, via Standard, was one of the first dominoes in the chain of events that brought us Nebula? Seems like he and Philip from Kurtzgestat made the initial connections that got the ball rolling, and then cashed out a few years back

In-wall speakers have too much bass - solutions?

I recently bought some new in wall speakers for my left and right channels. They sound pretty good except that the low end has some rumble that I’m not thrilled about. right behind them is the concrete foundation wall, if that matters. There’s no other insulation in the stud bays they occupy (shared wall), so my theory is that they just are vibrating this huge cavity full of air and that if I shoved some insulation in there they would be more balanced. Is there anything to that?

Edit to add details on my humble setup:

Receiver is Denon AVR-1712, running 5.1 channels

L+R+C are Monoprice in-walls so the kid doesn't knock them down

Sides are thrift-store-special Sony bookshelf speakers that look to be ancient

Subwoofer I got for $10 on Craigslist and looks to be from the 80s.

Pluto IIx board forgets settings every time?

I’ve got a weird one for you today, ladies and gentlemen. Every single boot I have to go back and turn on Enhanced DVI again. Has anybody else had this? Googling around hasn’t come up with much

Scorched a pad doing my Pluto mod, any advice?

Y’all I fucked up this gamecube. I’ve got the Pluto mod installed, everything looks great, but I wasn’t getting OSD control so I went back in with my soldering iron to touchup the control wire here, and I think I ripped the pad off somehow. I can’t get any solder to stick to the board and now controllers don’t work at all. Am I SOL? Any advice on recovering from this blunder?

My new street tree seems sad, how can I help?

I requested a new street tree and it finally arrived last week (hooray!). I was so excited for the first couple of days, but now I’m starting to worry because the vibe seems off. Some of the leaves are developing little holes. Some of the leaves are turning brown. Overall the tree hasn’t seemed to perk up yet, still looks kind of droopy.

I know that transplant shock is a thing, that making such a big adjustment is hard for such a little guy. The first thing that you hear about new street trees is that you should water the crap out of them, but I also found out that overwatering can be a problem too? I want it to live a long and happy life with us, so any advice would be appreciated.

Monoprice in-walls with no mounting tabs. Ideas?

I acquired a pair of in wall speakers that are missing every single one of their mounting tabs somehow. I haven’t been able to find spare parts on the manufacturer website, which I’m not shocked by. What would you do with these? Is there a way to get parts? A DIY way to get them in the wall anyways? Or am I shit out of luck?
