Now that a Disney Lorcana digital game is officially in the works, here’s my early wish list. These are just a few things I think could really make the game feel like Disney Lorcana instead of just another digital card game.

Songs / Actions / Animations

Songs should be a huge part of the experience. If I play a Song like “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” I’d love to hear a short clip or chorus from it, with Actions getting their own unique effects too. Animations should be everywhere, from picking up a card in your hand to playing or moving it on the board. I want the cards to feel alive. Voice acting would be amazing too and is one of those things that can really set a digital card game apart.

Collecting

I hope collecting feels rewarding without being way too easy. I’d love a Pokémon TCG Pocket-style system with a free pack every 12 hours where you can choose the set you want to open. Packs should still be the main way to collect, but I’d also like some kind of Pixie Dust or crafting system where duplicates can eventually help you unlock missing Legendaries, Enchanteds, or other cards.

What would be on your wish list?

Ravensburger, I am BEGGING you. I’ve wanted Kingdom Hearts in a major TCG since Chain of Memories, and Lorcana feels like the perfect home for it.

With the D23 event happening tomorrow and an hour-long Kingdom Hearts presentation planned, I know this is blue-sky dreaming, but PLEASE let it happen.

I don’t care if the set isn’t until 2028. Just give us that little sparkle of hope and the Kingdom Hearts fandom will take it from there 😂🔑❤️✨

The cards look amazing, and Tag Team is awesome. I suck at flipping, so I’m definitely more of a long-term holder.

If buying at $200 ends up making me look like a sucker in hindsight, then call me the lollipop man. 😏

I’m done ripping now. From here on out, I’m starting to buy and hold cases.

Hey everyone, has anyone submitted to PSA using Express with a similar ETA? How long did it realistically take to move from the grading stage to the next step?

I’ve heard assembly can take a while, so I’m trying to get a better idea of what to expect. Was your order completed near the beginning, end, or after the estimated date range?

Right now, players, collectors, investors, and scalpers are all fighting over the same boxes. I think we need to split those groups up. Put collectors, investors, and scalpers in one pool with CBBs, and let players have a fair shot at regular booster boxes and Enchanted cards.

I’ll get down in the trenches for CBBs if it means players can actually find product again. Unfortunately, I also think Iconics may need to be removed from play boosters and placed exclusively in CBBs. I know people will hate that, but if Iconics stay in regular booster boxes, scalpers will just target both products.

At this point, all the highest-end chase cards may need to be in CBBs. Looking at the market, I don’t see a huge restock suddenly crashing boxes down to $150, but I would love to be proven wrong. Until something changes, buying singles feels like the only realistic way forward.

Good news and bad news. One store lost its allocation, and another tried charging market price instead of MSRP, so I passed. At my last stop, they had me down for a prerelease case instead of a booster box case. Since they had extra inventory, I ended up with two prerelease cases and no booster box case.

I’ll probably keep one sealed and open the other. Lorcana is getting crazy, so I may just stick to singles moving forward. I’ve never had an issue getting a booster box case until this set. I’m normally able to get two or three, guess times are changing.

As someone who has pulled a lot of location and song Enchanteds in the past, I’m honestly really happy AOTV only has character Enchanteds.

Now whenever I hit that Enchanted pull, I know it’s going to be a character, which makes the chase feel way more exciting for me.

How are we feeling about this? Are you excited it’s only characters, or would you rather see song and location Enchanteds too?

As a community, let’s keep the pitchforks down for a minute and just have a conversation. If collector boosters end up happening, I’d love to hear how everyone feels about these two possible directions and which one you’d consider the lesser evil. I’m genuinely curious where the community stands.

Option 1

Every pack is all foil from common to legendary, with a much higher Enchanted pull rate. Think around one Enchanted per box.

This would make Enchanted and Iconic cards much more available, lowering their value. Players and most collectors would probably love it, but investors and people who value scarcity probably wouldn’t.

Downside:

The more collector boosters they print, the less desirable regular booster boxes become. If collector boosters stay limited, regular boxes probably won’t be affected much.

Option 2

Collector boosters have all foil cards from common to legendary, but no Enchanted or Iconic cards. Instead, they get exclusive alternate arts only found in collector boosters.

This gives collector boosters their own identity while keeping regular booster boxes relevant.

Downside:

Those exclusive alternate arts could become extremely expensive, especially since they’d be highly desired cards locked behind a premium product.

As for print runs, I don’t think regular booster box production increases much. My guess is regular boxes stay around the same print level, and any extra production goes toward collector boosters instead.

Don’t know how much my wallet can take, but art is priceless😤.
