Shopper comes back to our house 20 minutes after delivery and her boyfriend acts suspicious.

Just for the record, I used to do instacart as a shopper (no longer have to anymore). I also have ordered from instacart a few times in the past. Yes I’m aware that it’s not owned by instacart and yes I reported it.

Yesterday my boyfriend finally bit the bullet and said he wouldn’t mind ordering stuff via instacart. He’s very anxious about any kind of delivery. He’s had bad experiences in the past and won’t even get a pizza delivered if you tried. Though yesterday he didn’t feel like going to the store and he was for the idea of delivery. All he did was order a few items from Costco. The shopper got the order and delivered it. All seemed good right? she had a helping hand with her, a guy I’ll assume is her boyfriend. My only gripe was they pulled a little too aggressively in and almost hit our car in the drive. Other than that, we grabbed our stuff. He tipped pretty well on top of it all, for only three items. Water and some soda, nothing high dollar either.

So what’s the problem? I wish it just ended here, 20 minutes later they came back. We were in the bedroom when we heard shouting. we live on a dead end street so commotion isn’t common. I peek out the window and I see the shoppers car edging closer and closer to the boyfriend’s ride. The man is standing there holding his phone up, I assume filming, shouting for her to pull in closer. Her car was extremely close to ours. By the time we got outside, he had seen us and jumped back into the car. Shouting about “$400” and “get driving” to the shopper. He shouts out that they were “just looking for something” and then they took off without another word. The neighbor who sits in his garage came over to ask if we knew eachother. That he had thought they mightve hit the boyfriend’s car. Then went on how the man had been cussing, shouting and staggering. Seemed intoxicated or on something, had walked around all our vehicles in the driveway with his phone out. Even walking around our yard and up to the living room window to look in. I did search to see if anything was on the ground but didn’t find anything.

Crazy that a first experience for the boyfriend goes like this. He wants nothing to do with delivery again and it’s safe to say I agree. We did report to instacart the safety issue but no response was given back. They did not come back either.
