Saw these and was wondering if anyone tried any. At this price range that puts them up against some of the killer budget chifi buds that people love here.
No idea if those awards really mean much, but I've seen people wanting an Evo2, and I'm intrigued at the Chu 3! Chu 2 is my gateway into iems.
Just got them in today. I'm a big Moondrop fan, and have many of their tws. The only other open buds I have are the Pill, so those will be what I base comparisons on.
The case is giant. It'll bulge out of a tight pocket. Seems to be meant for a shoulder bag or just not taken with you. The magnetic spin is a fun fidget. More sturdy than the Pill's case.
Audio is pretty good. Clear vocals especially. Obviously you'll get better everything in terms of music with a good in ear bud, but these are an easy listen. Excellent for podcasts. Better than the Pill in every way.
Mics seem perfectly fine. Haven't thoroughly tested how well they are for calls in a noisy environment.
Touch sensors seem slighly less prone to accidental touches from moving your head, which is a huge issue I have with the Pill. Can't mute the touch click sound though.
So back in September they teased a collab with Wuthering Waves on what looked like a Pill type design. Its been their pinned post since then. Finally they post the details of it. Its appears to be the Pill form factor, but the internals are a bit different. Dual driver to the Pill's one at least. They're doing a like and re-tweet giveaway. I just hope they give the option to mute the touch click or block touches altogether. Its the only thing I don't like about the Pill.
Doesn't look like anything to compete with their top offerings, but we'll see soon enough. At least its a different form factor than the eternally used Space Travel stem.
