Does my savings plan look okay?

So I was just wondering does my savings plan look okay to get an apartment in LA? (Los Angeles, California)

Savings for apartment in LA.
Living in Venice beach.
Working 40 Hours.
Will be homeless until I get an apartment there. To save money.

$635.08.
-$100. Groceries and new clothes.
-$72. $18 Weekly bus pass.
$463. Left over.

$463. X 5 Months. (Saving for 5 months)
$2,315. Total.
$1,760. Total for apartment.
$555 Left over. For apartment things and groceries. New clothes.

That’s all. Thank you for reading.

By the way, The $635 is every two weeks! Forgot to mention that. So I would totally have an extra $635 to do whatever. I was thinking of still going to Disneyland on days I don’t work or after work.

I’m now thinking about going to Seattle, WA.

So I’m now thinking of going to Seattle, WA.

I would make $21.30 an hour and if I worked 4 days for 8 hours a day I would make $2,726.4. I will calculate the tax later. I would like to have 3 days off.

I would be homeless for a while, But it’s better than living here for another full year. I plan to leave in March 2027. On March 3rd to be exact. I have finally picked a date and I WILL BE going through with it. I’m just tired of living here and I want to get out of here ASAP!!

I will do more research on the city by watching YouTube videos, Reading on Reddit and Google etc. I always love to watch driving or walking videos in the city that I’m going to. At least I would still be on the West Coast.

Still thinking about a move to Los Angeles. Homeless in LA.

So I’m still thinking about a move to Los Angeles. Only thing is that I would be homeless for a little while until I can afford my own apartment again.

I would stay near Venice Beach and my work is very close to the beach there so that I could just walk to walk right from there to save some money. I’m thinking of going there with only $280. I would only need $210 to get there and I would use the rest to buy some food until my next pay. I would be out of work for 3 weeks but I could stay at shelters and use soup kitchens to survive. I just really want to get of here as soon as possible. It’s only a 21 minute walk to my work from Venice beach so it’s not even that far at all. And that’s if I get into that location of course.

So. What’s it like to be homeless in Los Angeles?

I would shower at gyms and stay on the beach or libraries on my days off.

Still thinking of moving out this January.

So my new goal is to definitely leave/move out this January 2nd, 2027! It’s a Saturday on which I work that day. I finally have a moving date.

It’s right before my Birthday on January 8th. I was thinking of doing that Saturday the day after but I would like to spend my birthday in Florida. I’ll be going to Tampa, FL. Some people here tried to convince me to go to Orlando, But I would like to and prefer to be outside of Orlando and get close enough to the parks and the beaches as well. They also have Busch Gardens in Tampa as well and a water park. So I’ll be able to do that for my birthday as well.

I would like to have at least $1,000 dollars before I go and I should have at around $1,200 depending on how much we go out to eat once a month. So at least I will hit my goal. I should have enough to rent a room on Padsplit as it’s like $200 a week so it shouldn’t be more than $600. Plus I would need money for groceries and the birthday trip. I would just need at least 3 weeks of living expenses to survive on since my job will be transferring to Tampa and it will take that long to kick in and maybe even longer.

I have also calculated everything down to my weekly and monthly spending.

I will only spend $40 a month on extra things like the mall, Which is only $10 a week. Plus an extra $60 for weekly body wash and hair care. (I use Dove body wash, And Garnier shampoo, But I will switch to a cheaper $1.94 brand called Sauve.) I’m really trying to budget more and better so that I can move out faster.

Anyway.

I just really want to get out of here and I am really trying my best to budget more.

Planning a move to Tampa, Florida next year! How much do I actually need?

So I am planning a move to Tampa, Florida next year!

For the weather and the quality of life. I am just so sick and tired of living here in New England. I’m sick of the cold weather and the yearly snow. I used to live in Fort Lauderdale and I miss it so much!!

So now I am thinking of going to Tampa, FL.

I already have a job that’s ready to transfer me out at any moment whenever I am ready! I just need some savings first. It will also take me 3 weeks to transfer there on their end, So I will definitely need the money to survive until my new job hits there.

If I can’t afford Orlando then I can totally live in Tampa to be near Busch Gardens. Plus the beaches are close by as well.

So I found an apartment there in Tampa for only $800 and it’s only $1,600 in total to move in. I would also need 3 weeks of living expenses to survive on, For temporary food and shelter. I would be using Padsplit as it’s only like $200 weekly in some places.

So I was thinking at around $2,800 should be enough.

I just want to get out of here.

Also:

If I totally want to speed up the process, I could stay at a homeless shelter for 3 weeks while living in Tampa at first. To save some money. Food and shelter is free there. I would rather save money for food and clothes to start off with.

Running away to Florida. Rant/Seeking Advice.

Running Away to Florida. Rant/Seeking Advice.

So. I am still thinking about running away/moving out to Tampa, Florida. To be closer to Orlando without actually living there! It’s legal because I am an adult.

Also yes this is one of my new accounts as I lost access to the old one.

I just want to get out of here ASAP!

I am still willing to wait a bit. Because I will need savings that will last me for up to 3 weeks until my job transfer kicks in. Then I could apply for apartments. Once the transfer goes through.

I also plan to do a small 4 day Disney World/Orlando trip! So 2 days at the Disney parks and 2 days just chilling at the hotel in Orlando. So I could just do some extra things like the Florida mall and maybe a water park. So I will definitely need some extra money for that trip as well.

I was thinking of saving $4k. If I can wait that long too. That’s already 20 months and I don’t know if I could wait almost 2 years to leave. So maybe I will hold off on the trip for a month after I move to Tampa? What do you guys think.

I think I could maybe wait the full 6 months to leave. Maybe. That should land on next summer. Or even in April. That’s only $1,200, Though.

I just really want to get out of here as quickly as possible. I am shooting for next summer.
