Some photos from pre-season testing for my replica of the 2025 Super GT season

Trying to get the BoP right for close racing. The Civics are disappointing (much like the real Civic GT500), so I'm going to engine swap them and try again. I'm also going to replace the GT300 Supra and Z with two more GT500 Zs, if I can get it right should get some close, 9 way racing in the GT500 class. I'll be driving the WedsSport Supra.

Plan is to do hour long races at Kyoto, Suzuka, Fuji, Autopolis and finally Sugo when the update releases. Might do a couple of half hour sprint races at Tsukuba and Fuji short course as well.

I might also build the entire GT500 grid and do a standalone series as well.

Took a chance on a £3 sealed box on Vinted

Scannable code had been scribbled out, so it was truly blind. Now I just need the hamster costume and longboarder to finish series 27.

Weekly Choices July Week 2

European Sunday Cup: AMG A45.

American Clubman Cup: Chevrolet Camaro SS.

WTC600: Ford Focus ST.

WTC900: Lexus SC430 GT500.

Power Pack: Corvette C1, C2 & C3, Grand Valley Vette! x3.

The A45 just sticks to the road, it's a great drive. The Focus was a good drive as it doesn't have the straight line speed to win the WTC600, so I had to make that up with handling in the corners.

Hoping for Hypercar Parade next week, especially as the McLaren F1 road car is available as a special pick.

Weekly Challenge Cars, June Week 2

Went for a bit of a classic theme, so every car is pre-1970 apart from the Hypercar.

  • Mini Cooper S: Sunday Cup and both The GTI power pack races

  • Toyota Sports 800: Japanese FR, and the Suzuka Hakosuka power pack races.

  • Ferrari 500 Mondial: Ferrari Circuit Challenge.

Peugeot 9X8 for the other two, plus bonus Valkyrie from the roulette ticket. I've been wanting to buy it anyway, so that worked out well.

The Ferrari race was the hardest this week, the 500 is very bouncy, and curbs can easily unsettle it. The Toyota is great fun to drive, especially against the significantly larger modern cars.

I'm going to continue using cars I wouldn't necessarily tune otherwise for these challenges, anyone got any suggestions for future weeks?

Weekly Event Cars

American Sunday Cup: Sierra RS500 Cosworth

Ferrari Challenge: 512 BB.

Power Pack: Civic SiR-II (EG)

Jimny Cup: Jimmy Sierra

WTC800: M6 Endurance Model

Prize Car: F1500T-A

Apparently I don't own the Shelby, so it isn't pictured. The prize Car is new to me, now I just need to decide which 80s F1 livery to put on it.
