Moving to Austin TX and Have a Ton of Plus Size Clothes to Sell

Hi Everyone! Hope July 2nd is treating you all fabulously! As the title says it my husband and I are moving to Pflugerville which is a suburb of Austin in the next couple weeks and I being a fashion obsessed plus size woman, I have way more clothes than I know what to even do with. I used to work from home and I plan on keeping it that way once I can secure a job considering I'm in this crazy layoff position. Anyway I have sold on thredup before and it went really well for me and I've sold at clothes mentor and a couple of other places but I would like to know from you all where would you buy plus size clothes that would be thrifted? I would love all of your opinions and thoughts! Thanks so much! Have a terrific Thursday!

Brief Update on the MSW Book Series

Hi my friends! I hope everyone is doing well on this July 2nd. So is a verbally official that my husband David did get a verbal job offer for eBay in Austin Texas. His official offer should be coming in the next few days as they have to do a compensation review. With that said we would be officially moving and will be in Austin probably by the week of August 3rd. So that means I've got a lot of packing to tackle amongst job searching. Where does that leave the book series? Well if I can manage to squeeze in an episode per day with wardrobe analysis I could get season 1 wardrobe analysis completed by next week. All the analysis for season 1 up to episode 16 is now completed. I can try to squeeze an episode 17 today. However the key thing is putting the entire book together and get it ready for print and out into the hands of the world. That is going to take a little bit longer than the research alone. I'm not sure if I should just do all the research for all the seasons first with all the episodes followed by the movies and followed by all the book covers first before I actually create all of the books. What is everyone's thoughts about this? It means that you will have consistent Jessica's wardrobe analysis but the actual final product of the book series won't be done for a while. I'm thinking it might be easier to go that way and do all the research first but I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts on this. Please let me know in the comments what you all think which would be the best way for me to go research first or research them publish the books? Looking forward to hearing your thoughts while I am about to go tackle breakfast and then start planning one very huge move. Have a terrific Thursday!

Sending summertime smiles

Despite the heat that we are having, I took this picture at the perfect time and was not expecting to see this groundhog give me the perfect groundhog pose. Anyway I was sitting outside and this baby who has basically claimed our house as its property (for reference it likes to go up to our front door, set off our ring camera, stare at the front door, and use the side of our brick as a leaning and scratching post), was going about it's morning eating and all of a sudden we all heard a tree in the hillside fall and it sounded like a tree being ripped apart by something. You could see the tree in question start shaking and moving around. The noise was so loud that it not only startled me but it startled the baby groundhogs that were having breakfast. Our groundhog property baby started running into the hillside but then it saw me. I calmly told the groundhog baby that it was safe and it was okay and it saw that I didn't run so it knew that relying on me being human it knew if the human didn't move then I'm safe too. So groundhog baby went back to nibbling right at the edge of the hillside along our property and as I was about to take a photo it turned around and did this lovely post. Stay nice and cool out there today!

Quick update

Hello members! I know I have not posted in a while to say the least. So wanted to cut you all up on what kind of happened with me recently and why you have not seen any Jessica outfit posts. So in between job searching, we had a lot of vendors appear at the house to get a bunch of fixes done and that required a lot of management and not enough time for me to sit down and analyze JB's outfits from that episode. Anyway, my husband has been also applying to jobs even though he has one, and this past Friday June 26th he had a final interview for a company with the location in Austin Texas. We will find out this week if he happens to get the offer. If he does I will be moving to the Austin Texas area by the first week in August. Which means between the job searching but I have to do whether that's part-time or full-time, I would also have to get an entire house which is large and get all of our personal belongings into storage or into a moving truck. However today might be my lucky day and sitting down and analyzing season 1 episodes 16 and 17 possibly more because I have some pretty severe tendonitis going on in my left thumb muscle region. Therefore that means that I cannot do any real computer work or any sorting of clothes or anything preparing for potential moves. With that said, I am hoping to have some analysis ready to go for what I see for these two episodes and have another post going with my thoughts. I hope everyone is doing well wherever you may be currently located on the very last day of June.

Cabot Cove Fashion Bureau-Field Notes #5

Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone is doing well! The fashion notes are in direct from the field for Episodes 14 and 15. For clarity, Episode 14 is Murder to a Jazz Beat and Episode 15 is My Johnny Lies Over the Ocean.

Here are the key trends I noticed while researching these episodes:

  1. Red Polka Dot Blouse-I am actually wearing mine today and it's a classic piece. Okay so anything polka dot is classic and vintage. Goes with lots of things including dark wash jeans as well as a white skirt. Jessica actually has worn this blouse throughout Season 1.

  2. Nautical Print Scarf-I even own one or two! Always in style, always classic, and fun to wear! Jessica wears these scarves all throughout Season 1.

  3. White Skirt-You know how they say to never wear white after Labor Day? Well that is a complete myth. I wear white year round and so does Jessica. The white skirt has appeared multiple times throughout Season 1 so far.

  4. The Pearl Jewelry Combo-the classic jewelry combination for all times. Pearl studs and pearl necklace. Jessica wears these effortlessly and we see her regularly wearing these during fancy outings.

This is all I have for today from the latest and greatest fashion reports. Next up will be episodes 16 and 17. Until then....have a fashionable day!

CABOT COVE FASHION BUREAU — FIELD NOTES #4

Season 1, Episodes 8-13

Filed by: Cabot Cove Fashion Bureau

Hi fandom friends! I hope your Monday or Tuesday (depending on where you are located in the world) is going fabulous and fashionable! I wanted to provide you some key insights to the fashion statements our favorite writer-sleuth has graced us with so far from Episodes 8 to 13. For the record here is the list of episodes by their titles: Episode 8-Hit, Run and Homicide; Episode 9-We're Off to Kill the Wizard; Episode 10-Death Takes a Curtain Call; Episode 11-Death Casts a Spell; Episode 12-Capitol Offense and Episode 13-Broadway Malady.

Let's talk about the key fashion statements that have appeared during these episodes. I will keep them brief because I do not want to spoil anyone's appetite 😉

Key Trends

  1. The Burbury Trench Coat-Let's talk about this luxurious trench coat for a moment. This trench coat is all over the second half of Season 1. It travels well and is classic and stands the test of time.

  2. JB's Athleisurewear-I love athleisurewear. Even so, today being a cold spring day in Pittsburgh (it's the last week of Spring and Mother Nature is delivering it which is a relief from all the heat we've been having), I am wearing a hoodie, fleece leggings and furry moccasins so I'm full on athleisurewear. Anyway, JB has shown us time and time again in Season 1 how athleisurewear can be done even in our modern times. Grey zip hoodie with grey joggers and a navy velour track suit are her go to athleisurewear outfits for this season.

  3. Scarves-I talked about this before but sometimes instead of jewelry you will see JB wearing scarves as an accessory. She has worn navy print, madras plaid, buffalo plaid, and the list goes on. They also travel very well, too.

  4. The Red Paisley Skirt-Who knew paisley could be such a fashion statement? Okay, so I know it's a popular vintage print, but Jessica has this most amazing red paisley skirt that she makes it look so fabulous, that anyone can wear it. She also travels with it quite frequently in Season 1, too.

That is all I have for now. I did get to watch Episode 14 (Murder to a Jazz Beat) and Episode 15 (My Johnny Lies Over the Ocean) and will have an update to what I discovered for those shortly. For now, I hope you have enjoyed this post of the latest Cabot Cove Fashion Bureau update.

100 outfits logged for S1E1 to S1E13

Yes, I said it. I have officially logged as of late yesterday during storms and heat a grand total of 100 outfits Jessica wore so far between episodes 1 to 13 of Season 1. I have 10 more episodes to review. Anyone want to take a guess at the grand total of outfits Season 1 will have?? I haven't the foggiest idea how many more will be added but I am thinking at the end we will probably have an upwards of about maybe a total of 150 to 200. Curious to know what you all think 🤔

Some of Jessica's Jewelry and scarves of Season 1 (so far)

Hi Everyone! I just finished getting the last of my outfits uploaded to my master spreadsheet up to S1E13 (Broadway Malady) and wanted to talk to you about some of the jewelry and scarves that have made an appearance so far in Season 1. Jessica seemingly loves scarves and they can be dressed up or down. A few she has had are a buffalo plaid scarf, an argyle scarf, navy and tan scarves, purple print scarves just to name a few. Additionally, her favorite jewelry so far to date has been pearl studs, silver and gold 1980s studs, the pearl necklace, the red beaded necklace, and the gold chain necklace. All of these items are still classy and carry on for decades. Even the 1980s studs are making a comeback. Anyway, these are a few of the things that I have come across so far. Tomorrow when things slow down over here at the house, my goal is to get on the couch and watch episodes 14 and 15 and log some outfits. Until then....have a terrific Thursday!

Who needs Punxsutawney Phil when you have Churchill Charlie and family?

Last year during the huge storm we had, our neighbors 30 ft oak tree fell on her house and missed our house by 10 ft. Although we were lucky, we are now even luckier because our groundhog who I named Churchill Charlie has an even better home. We've been in Churchill since 2022 and we saw Charlie many times after hibernation all winter (cannot comment on the prognestations) coming out to eat and hang out in the sun but this year was special. On June 2nd, I witnessed in our backyard a complete migration from the winter home near my house to two houses down to the summer home with a wife, and three babies. I was so shocked to see this. Anyway, over the last few days, I noticed Charlie going back to the winter home near my house. Until today, where the whole family was out and about having lunch and being parents on an outing. For 50 minutes I took 42 photos of the most wonderful thing that nature threw out me this week. I hope these photos bring you joy and smiles to your day!

Fashion Bureau Notes and Weather Update Notes formatting

Hi MSW fans! I hope everyone is doing well wherever you all may be located on this fine day. I seem to be having some opinions by various members about my posts not being written by a human. I have clearly pointed this out in another post about the human-AI relationship and writing and have been very honest that I do use AI to help with keeping track of all the outfits, etc. to keep this project super organized. However, some members, have decided to talk about this AI topic and how my posts are reading. Since I value everyone's thoughts and opinions (as we all should), I would like to know from everyone who is kindly reading my posts and providing comments and suggestions, to please let me know if you all like the current formatting of the "fashion bureau case notes" and the "weather update notes". All I need is a yes or no. If it's a no, that's fine, but I need to know what you all would like to see because when this is all put together, with these notes, the actual how to create your outfits, etc., the final book is going to look like you picked up an actual confidential case file and you're going to solve the mystery of Jessica's outfits. Plain and simple. However, as members, you are all privy to how this whole series will flow and eventually I will need beta readers to provide feedback (more on that as I get closer to writing and getting ready to publish) so everyone's input in my posts are crucial to making this series successful and getting this out into the hands of the world. Please be truthful and honest as I have been truthful and honest all along. Thank you so much for reading this very long post and all of my posts so far! I appreciate you all so very much! I won't be posting again until Monday as I am traveling this weekend to Columbus OH for an expo. All comments will be replied to when I get back home between Sunday and Monday. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Am I a Human or an AI or a Bot? Questions members have been asking...

Greetings members of the subreddit! I am actually reporting to you all from bed as I just woke up to see some lovely comments! I would like to start off that I am a human. Name is Sandeen. Last time I checked which is now, I am definitely no AI or a bot unless something happened to me overnight which I am not aware of while I am still in bed. However, I think this is an important question to address since we are in a different time and age. Anyway, all my research is not done by AI (I spend hours researching, then analyzing for the actual book series and so on because this is a very long passion project and not my only project while I figure out this whole layoff situation that happened on April 15th) but I do get input as to how to present my posts to the world including some creativity output like the "Cabot Cove Meteorology Division" and yes, sometimes you will see my comments be more "detective like" but it's really me being my research detective self trying to figure out all the outfits Jessica wears, how to recreate them in the 2020s and lore like the weather as other users in this subreddit have suggested. I try to make my posts as fun and engaging in this special world of Jessica Fletcher. In sum though, I really am a human trying to sort out my layoff situation and figure out what I really want to do with my life and try not to work for Corporate America (if I can avoid). Hopefully with my other ideas in the works I can avoid this. Anyway, I hope you all continue along for the ride and the journey on how all of this comes together, gets published (self for starters), and how the entire Jessica Fletcher world unfolds. You have all given many amazing suggestions that I really love and want to expand upon like lore, maps, locations, and characters and as I get this book series underway, I can do additional bonus books or side books to cover these topics because I think they would be fun to explore and great ideas! Additionally, this project is going to take years to do especially if I wind up having to take a bridge job until my streams create me enough to replace my original income and then some. Okay I know this is a long post and I got a busy day ahead of me but I wanted to answer questions and be honest because that is important to me. I appreciate you all very much!

Field Report — Cabot Cove Meteorology Division

Season 1 Weather Analysis: Episodes 11 & 12Chief reporting in with the next set of climate findings for the Season 1 investigation.Episode 11 takes us to Lake Tahoe, Nevada, where the climate mirrors Northern California and even parts of the Northeast/Mid‑Atlantic during the early fall transition. The wardrobe evidence is clear: madras print makes a surprise appearance — a fabric that can linger into early fall — paired with light jackets that signal cooler mornings and mild afternoons. No heavy coats, no deep‑winter layers. This is classic early fall transitional weather, crisp but not cold. Episode 12 brings us back to Cabot Cove, Maine, before shifting to Washington, D.C., and the seasonal cues intensify. Jessica’s wardrobe leans heavily into cardigans, blazers, and structured suitwear, fitting both the fall season and her temporary role in Congress. The climate logic matches perfectly: early fall in D.C. (think September into October) can swing from the 40s to the 60s, requiring layers that can adapt to fluctuating temperatures. The appearance of paisley print — a classic fall textile — further confirms the seasonal placement. Conclusion: Episodes 11 and 12 keep us firmly in early fall, with Lake Tahoe showing transitional coolness and Washington, D.C. displaying the full range of early‑fall variability. Jessica’s wardrobe remains perfectly aligned with the seasonal shift, and the Season 1 Climate Map continues to deepen as we approach the finale.More meteorological evidence coming soon as the investigation expands.

Field Report — Cabot Cove Meteorology Division

Season 1 Weather Analysis: Episodes 9 & 10Chief reporting in with the latest climate findings for the Season 1 investigation.Episode 9 takes us to Kansas, deep in the American Midwest, where the weather in early summer is famously unpredictable. Temperatures can swing dramatically, storms can appear out of nowhere, and layering becomes lighter and more breathable. The biggest seasonal clue: madras print makes its debut — a fabric that is practically a meteorological announcement of summer. Madras only shows up in warm‑weather wardrobes, and its appearance confirms that we’ve officially crossed into early summer conditions. Episode 10 brings us back to Cabot Cove, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts, both firmly in New England — and this time, the seasonal shift is unmistakable. American flags in storefront windows which placed us around Memorial Day have disappeared and now we are into early September, with the real giveaway is the changing foliage. Trees in the background show the first hints of color change and browning, which in New England means early fall has arrived. Jessica’s wardrobe backs this up: heavier coats, sweaters, and thicker layers appear for the first time this season. Conclusion: Episode 9 marks our transition into early summer, while Episode 10 delivers our first clear signs of early fall — likely September. New England’s accelerated seasonal turnover is fully on display, and Jessica’s wardrobe adjusts accordingly. The Season 1 Climate Map now shows its first major seasonal arc. More meteorological evidence coming soon as the investigation expands.

Field Report — Cabot Cove Meteorology Division

Season 1 Weather Analysis: Episodes 7 & 8Chief reporting in with the latest climate findings for the Season 1 investigation.Episode 7 takes us to Seattle, Washington, deep in the Pacific Northwest, where the climate mirrors the Northeast almost perfectly this time of year. Cool mornings, mild afternoons, and a steady marine layer keep us firmly in late spring. Jessica’s wardrobe confirms it: the Burberry trench coat is front‑and‑center throughout the episode, and trench coats are a textbook indicator of transitional spring weather. Episode 8 brings us back home to Cabot Cove, Maine, and the seasonal clues are unmistakable. American flags appear in storefront windows, signaling the Memorial Day timeframe, which places us at the very end of late spring. Even more telling: chambray makes its first appearance — a lightweight denim fabric that typically emerges from Memorial Day through early fall. That means warmer weather is rising, and we’re approaching the late‑spring‑into‑early‑summer threshold. Conclusion: Episodes 7 and 8 continue the stable late‑spring climate window, with Episode 8 showing the first signs of an approaching seasonal shift. Jessica’s wardrobe remains perfectly aligned with the warming temperatures, and the Season 1 Climate Map continues to hold steady.More meteorological evidence coming soon as the investigation expands.

Field Report — Cabot Cove Meteorology Division

Season 1 Weather Analysis: Episodes 5 & 6Chief reporting in with the next set of climate findings for the Season 1 investigation.Episode 5 begins in Cabot Cove, Maine, still firmly in our established late‑spring coastal pattern — cool mornings, mild afternoons, and Jessica’s classic layered New England wardrobe. The investigation then shifts to Los Angeles, California, where the seasonal cues remain consistent but the fabrics lighten. Southern California in late spring typically ranges from the 60s to the 80s, and Jessica’s wardrobe reflects that perfectly: lighter materials, softer layers, and no heavy coats in sight.Episode 6 takes us to Greenville, Virginia, deep in the Mid‑Atlantic and styled like an English countryside equestrian estate. The wardrobe here is textbook late spring: tweed blazers, riding jackets, and bomber jackets — all ideal for Virginia’s late‑spring temperature band of 50s to 80s. No winter gear, no summer fabrics, just classic transitional layering. Conclusion: Episodes 5 and 6 continue to reinforce a stable late‑spring climate window across multiple regions — New England, Southern California, and the Mid‑Atlantic. Jessica’s wardrobe remains seasonally coherent, and the Season 1 Climate Map holds steady.More meteorological evidence coming soon as the investigation expands.
