She spent many years in her ministry, talking to everyone she met about the Bible’s two different hopes for the future -- the earthly hope, and the heavenly hope.
She made sure to never mention the heavenly hope early in her recruiting efforts, even though her leaders, the Governing Body of JWs, and a few crazy ones in her congregation all say they have it. She always did her best to explain to her Memorial invitees how only a select few left on earth are going to heaven, and how the invitees shouldn't partake of the wine or bread. It was always an awkward conversation, bless her heart, but she managed somehow.
She always suppressed thoughts about how the number of those with the heavenly hope keeps growing, even though for most of her long life, she had watched the number dwindle and was constantly reminded that this dwindling number was a sign that Armageddon was VERY near.
She was always confused about how telling her potential converts (ahem, everyone) about the earthly hope - that their love ones were not in heaven, but just corpses rotting in the ground - didn't bring them immediate joy and comfort.
But, God love her, she carried on, not allowing any rational thoughts that welled up in her mind to prevent her from remaining a true zealot for Jehovah, all the way to her end.
As a reminder to all, she didn't "finish her earthly course", she's really really LITERALLY in the truest sense of the word ... DEAD.

She just paid $200 for a bottle of pills being sent in from a JW in Oregon. Her daughter (my cousin) had already found her a not-medicine grifter in Friendswood Texas that's been taking her money for years.

My aunt wasn't diagnosed initially was stage 4 breast cancer. It was found at Stage 1/2. Now it has spread to her spine and lungs.

She said she wasn't going to do chemo or radiation, and she has kept her word on that. I actually don't have a problem with how she handles her end of life decisions. The biggest part of my values system as a non-religious person is bodily autonomy. Plus, she is already 80 years old. It's just JWs continuing to use the congregation as their target market for their grift that pisses me the hell off.

She's been taking ivermectin (ahem, the wonder drug of the millennium). She's leaving this world Scott Adams (Dilbert cartoonist) and Steve Jobs (I think you already know) style.

Her cult indoctrination induced gullibility and credulity makes me sad, but its the evil agenda of the pseudoscience grifters in the congregations of JWs that pisses me off the most. Fuck those mooching slime balls.
