It is over?
I bought a R36S a week or so ago, without much research, just thinking it would be a good intro to retro handhelds, and force me to get hands on with something without diving straight into a retroid or other high end device.
Since then I have found this sub, and I've done a deep dive, and I understand I will not be getting a R36S, but some kind of clone. It seems the DeeDee clones aren't the worst out there? But I still want to know, am I cooked? What will I be able to do with this thing?
Im looking to play gameboy advance games. Specifically chain of memories (kingdom hearts).
Im also interested in playing xenogears, ps1.
Ive seen the guidance is to buy a new sd card and 'flash' a new os onto it. But as this will be a clone will I still be able to follow the guides on here? Ive never done it before so im a bit lost on all the options out there. It looks like my clone will have quite a different board with only 1 sd card slot.
Some advice on how to make the best out of this would be great, and if it'll be able to do what I want.
Havent got an a new sd card yet, as I dont want to spend the extra cash unless I'm sure it will lead to something serviceable. Will any decent sd card be good enough?
Thanks for the help
Something different
Just discovered this game on ds today.., you play it with the ds held sideways. You play almost exclusively with the stylus. Its quite fun! Thought it was neat and wanted to share. Game: ninja gaiden: dragon sword
Evidence sanity check; Outside UK, British national and EU national married couple both living outside uk.
Hi,
First of i want to say thank you to this sub, we are currently working on out spouse visa application and were quite naive about the level of evidence we would need (we were more or less taking the surface level guidance from gov uk and the form its self), this sub has made the reality of spouse visa applications much clearer.
We are now working on a more detailed application and would appreciate a sanity check/advice if our list seems sufficient for approval.
So a bit about our situation, we are a married couple living in spain, married in spain, im a uk national, shes a spanish national. Cohabitation 8 years, married 2 years, joint mortgage in spain.
Going to meet financial obligations via salary payment evidence here in spain, then a job offer in the uk, with salary details. We will put ourselves as going to live with my parents, however in reality we will being trying to get ourselves a rental ASAP, probably finalising that after her visa is approved.
This is the current list of evidence we plan on providing.
Cover letter connecting all our evidence, explaining our case, relationship.
Passport bio pages, myself, her, both my parents.
My payslips last 4 months (only been employed 4 months) - translated from spanish
Bank statements showing my previous 4 payslips being paid into my account- translated
My spanish employment contract (its already dual language spanish/english)
An email from the ceo of my employer saying he will change my contract to a uk one and stating my start date in the uk
A draft contract of my employment offer in the uk ( its not signed) but has all the official details of what my offer is, salary, start date, employment type, we read i only need an offer of employment, not a signed contract?
Spanish Marriage certificate -translated
Empadron history (registered as living together) - translated
5 pages worth of joint payments on our mortgage- translated
Wife's proof of no criminal history - translated
Letter from my parents welcoming us to live with them and stating how many bedrooms they have
Photo album with a few photos of every year of our relationship.
Another little complexity in our application is that i am employed via an employer of record, it means the company I work for doesnt employ me directly, they employ me through someone else (in this case the middle company is called remote) it means my payslips come from Remote, contracts remote.., but ceo email confirming my job offer in the uk, is from my 'end employer'. The plan with my employment is my employer is going to change my contract in remote from a spanish one to a uk one.
We have a apartment property deed in both our names, however it is 16 pages long and would be expensive so translate, so we are currently planning on leaving it out, hoping the other evidence is sufficient.
We want to try and submit the visa this month (June 2026) and plan the move for October 2026.
Any advice on our application journey would be greatly appreciated 👏 💐 as we are quite nervous that the process can easily go wrong.
Many thanks
