Newest pick up from the Dallas Card Show! Been wanting and looking for a deal on this card for a long long time. George Brett is my dad’s favorite player. When I was a kid we went through some hard times as a family and I remember my dad parted with his baseball card collection to help pay the bills. I know he sold several Brett rookies in that collection.

An early Father’s Day present to to him and hopefully nudging him to get back into collecting with me again!

A couple months ago I made the decision to stop opening wax. I opened a ton of retail Topps chrome chasing Flagg. Struck out hard. Probably spent ~$800 on mega boxes and blasters earlier this year. Best card I got was a $20 card.

I couldn’t justify spending this much on so little of a return and the entertainment aspect wasn’t adding up. I set a strict budget for cards recently. Found some incredible deals buying singles off eBay, LCSs, Reddit and card shows and got to meet some amazing people along the way.

For everything here I spent way less than what a Chrome mega box is reselling for now and I enjoy these cards way more!
