Thanks for the help. Here’s a before an after of my weld job (I know it looks like shit)

Melted some of those staple things in there and then melted the mesh in there for good measure. I think she’s sturdy. I’m gonna hit it one more time and smooth it out. My damn plastic welder only works for 20 minutes at a time before it trips.

Do you think top water clips make you catch less fish?

Just picked up a pack and have been fishing them pretty hard. Salt and fresh. Mostly jig shrimp like this. Chatterbaits. Topwaters. Swimbaits. can’t shake the feeling that I’m costing myself fish. Maybe they can see it. Or maybe it’s just in my head.

Anybody got a clue exactly what I have here?

I collect vintage lures and stumbled on this. I’ve done a little research online and reverse image searched it. Can’t come up with anything. AI seems to think it’s an old store display from Bomber Bait Co out of Gainesville Texas. But who knows how they came up with that. If anything I figured you all would think it’s cool.
