youtube.comIs 2000 An Underrated Year In Wrestling?
Around this time 26 years ago, I got into professional wrestling as a 9 year old kid. It was around the time of Fully Loaded 2000. Once I watched the Raw and Smackdown after the Fully Loaded PPV, I was hooked. I have a lot of fond memories of those days of getting the PPVs on video and of living through one of the hottest times in wrestling history.
Even with Stone Cold out for most of 2000, The Rock was on fire, Triple H was at his peak, and the wave of new talent — Angle, Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Saturn, Malenko — made every show feel stacked. You had the chaos of the Hardcore 24/7 title, Commissioner Foley’s comedy gold, and the McMahon‑Helmsley era running the show. It was nonstop entertainment, week after week, and honestly, it’s hard to think of anything that captured that same feeling since.
