How many people have been duped and probably paying extra to offset carbon emissions by some big company such as an airline? This article shows it is just a con.

This is a serious collapse related article, for a change from Ghana in a region most at risk from disaster. Ghanaian activists, for decades, have persisted in sounding this alarm, largely ignored by successive governments. One of the deeper problems is that governments and many NGOs across much of Africa, keep reducing the response to the wider Polycrisis of Global Capitalism and Imperialism, which is worsening Climate Change.

In this Climate Agenda episode, I'm speaking with Roger Hallam about his new book, Suicide: The Political & Legal Implications of Endless Mass Death, written while Roger was in prison. The book draws on his own sociological expertise in an effort to shed some light on this strange time in which we are living, where human life, as well as the biodiversity of the planet, are on the brink of passing through the eye of a needle.

I'm sick of our energy's bills and temperature rising. This is when the city council has a plan in place that aims to reach net zero carbon by 2030 and should be helping us all to reduce energy use and cope better with extreme weather.

I'd be very grateful for your thoughts on this plan and ideas for how it could be improved.

Submission statement: collapse related because it discusses good evidence that the Earth's warming is accelerating more than the IPCC predictions. Key issue is finding that the Earth's cloud cover is reducing as the earth warms , increasing rate of Warming.

This is very much collapse related as it the principle theme of the article, specifically that most organs of our society still refuse to discuss the truth that billions are going to die due to the climate crisis, this century. Deals with sinking cities, burning cities, big oils lies, the looming food crisis, etc.
