Thanks for the free lunch you rude prick

Just had one this afternoon, nando's order, $15.

Get to the address, I'm knocking, I knock and wait for about 3 minutes, clearly no one's home.

I call the customer, who the first thing they do is blame me, I'm at the wrong address, 12km away.

Sure.

I explained I can leave it here, I just need the pin but I won't be driving to him.

He abused me, at this point I reminded him that all Uber calls are recorded and it's on him to get the address right.

The 7 or so minutes came, I contacted support who said to upload a photo of where it's left.

It wouldn't work, after a couple of minutes Uber said he cancelled it and I'll be paid the full amount, dispose of the food.

Partner has a new job, we're trying to maximize our household income before, how much can he earn before my payment is affected? (Parenting payment)

I'm just double checking,

From what I'm reading it's $1400ish a fortnight, after that my parenting payment will be reduced by 60 cents in the dollar for every dollar over.

Is this right?

Last year my rent went up $15 a week. Our lease is always around tax time, so I paid the extra out of my tax. REA hated it, so I'm pulling it again

Our lease needs renewal around tax time every year, last year we got sick of the rent increases year on year with our returns (FTB as well) we thought why don't we pay the increase in one hit.

It took the agent about 3 months to work it out, but it worked well for us.

So this year we're doing the same.

The agent has asked if we can pay the extra like we would when our rent is due and I explained was long as it's paid, were happy doing it our way.

So if you're lease is due near tax time, think of this

New rule, if I'm doing a coles shop and the person is messaging me too much, straight up cancel.

Logged on this morning, within minutes a Coles shop, 10 items easy.

Offered a bigger shop.

When I'm at the store the first one starts messaging me, I want this, I need this, can you apply the $20 for $20 or whatever, can you add this and remove this and they called.

As soon as I got off the phone, cancel and did the other shop.

No stress, nothing.

I'm gonna let others deal with the pains.

Think Uber Eats shopping at Cole's is bad, try a DD Costco shop

I have a Holden Cruze wagon, so enough boot space.

I've been getting smarter with my time on the road, I find I make more on Uber so I use DD in the quieter times (10 to 12/2 to 4) and keep checking Uber every half an hour or so during those times.

Anyway I was near a Costco and one popped up, no info on the job, just $50. I couldn't say no could I.

So I get to Costco, parking was easy, I looked 180 items.

Ok, shit.

I start, I fill 1 trolley, I fill the second, by this stage I'm 170cm, fit but this is getting heavy.

8 4kg of sauce, 13 3kg of sugar.

I speak with Costco, I can leave the trolleys there and keep shopping.

I messaged the customer and said I might not be able to finish it because it won't fit in my car. I have 2 car seats in the back.

I got told to "do my fucking job".

I contacted support, you won't get paid for your time.

I sent the message in, sorry, bit you won't get paid.

I canceled it, but come on, this job was ridiculous.

At least Uber would have helped out or at least taken action again the customer

Took a long road trip job today. Got rewarded twice

I wasn't having much luck this morning with a couple of small jobs, then one came up.

A 5km drive for a pick up, $60 to drive an hour and a half.

I took it. I got to the pick up and the guy put the package in my car for me as it was heavy.

I then got 2 easy orders in the way, adding $20 to the trip.

Dropped off, the guy took it out of the car, then gave me a $20 tip and a can of coke.

I said thanks and started to drive off.

Bang! $80 for a trip to the industrial estate 2km from my house.

The pick up was a 10 minute drive.

Checked the app tonight, I got a tip for that as well.

I woke up and thought I've got nothing on today so logged on

Hit $100 before 10am.

Came home, had breakfast then went straight back out.

Got a couple.of nice little jobs then a $50 Caroline springs to Balwyn. Hit a 35 trip quest, then got lucky with a couple of little jobs to get me halfway back home.

Had something small to eat and went back out again and hit a few quests.

I've been doing UE now for a good month and I'm enjoying it.

So I added DD and started doing that on Friday.

At first within seconds of going online I got a job, great.

I used it all day Friday along with Uber, I got 3 jobs with DD and 15 with UE.

I was able to work both, pausing DD or UE when I got an order.

Then this morning, did 2 hours like I do most Monday mornings, 6 Uber eat jobs, 0 DD.

Plus the promotions are better on UE.
