My favorite time of year. If you haven’t made salsa on your smoker or pellet grill you’re blowing it.

32 Romas,
Over 40 peppers,
Two whole white onions,
A clove of garlic,
And a lime,
Poured in lawrys seasoning salt and meat churches Texas sugar while mixing for taste.

Ended up with one gallon of salsa, canned up 3 32oz jars and 4 8oz jars.

Salsa season is right around the corner for me

I picked over 40 peppers so far all my bell peppers are ass. But if you’d like me to make a short video of my smoked salsa recipe let me know.

I planted 17 pepper plants this year and 15 tomato plants. I’m going to be a real busy man for the next few weeks.

Kind of a dumb post, but if you find pellets you like stick with them.

A few weeks back i went to the store I get all of my meat from and they had 20lb bags of pellets on sale for 5 dollars a bag. I figured why not and I grabbed 4 bags of them. dumped a small amount into a box to inspect them before mixing them with my daily driver. Did this thought out the whole first bag to make sure they were all in decent shape.

Trusted the pellets since I was essentially using them as filler for my go to pellets. They ended up clogging up my whole auger. The pellets showed no signs of water damage they were all normal size. I just think it’s bad quality.

I won’t list the store name that had the pellets because they have they the best quality meat in my area for a quick grab. if you ever seen a crazy sale on pellets think twice before picking them up unless it’s a brand you’ve trusted in the past.

Where are your from, what type of grass do you have and what height do you cut it at?

Thought this would be kind of cool to see what everyone does.

I’m in Nebraska, I cut my ktb/fescue at 3.75 inches. I mow 2/3 times a week depending on the rain/time of the year. I know it’s over kill but I it makes it survive the rainless summers we get.

With garden season approaching I can’t wait to make some smoked salsa with home grown veggies again.
