I tried making a poster for farewell my concubine

I've doing graphic design since January of last year I'm almost 16 and I do think I have room for improvement. Nonetheless even though this is quite simple as a poster I like it. I wanna experiment more in the future with more effects and typography

One of mischas recent movies

Came to me in my mind the news of Hayden pannetiere passing I saw mischa talking to fox about her passing. At the beggining of this year they made a movie together called sleepwalker it's Hayden's last movie she ever starred in💔 I hate to see the child stars like her who made everyone's childhood with their filmography only to suffer a lot in their own personal life rip Hayden 🩷

The cell was released 26 years ago today

The Cell is a 2000 science fiction psychological horror film directed by Tarsem Singh in his feature directorial debut, written by Mark Protosevich, and starring Jennifer Lopez, Vince Vaughn, and Vincent D'Onofrio. The film follows a team of scientists as they use experimental technology to help a social worker enter the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to locate where he has hidden his latest kidnap victim. Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Jake Weber, Dylan Baker, Tara Subkoff, and Pruitt Taylor Vince appear in supporting roles.

The Cell premiered in the United States in August 2000 and received "deeply divided" reviews from film critics, with some praising the visuals, direction, make-up, costumes and D'Onofrio's performance, and others criticizing the plot, an emphasis on style rather than substance, and masochistic creation. Among the critics who hailed the film was Roger Ebert, who named it one of the ten best films of 2000. It received numerous nominations and awards from various critical associations, including a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Makeup, as well as four Saturn Award nominations. Despite the film's mixed critical response, it was a box office success, going #1 at the box office grossing over $104 million against a $33 million budget.

A movie I'd recommend to anyone on here : Out of sight (1998) directed by Steven soderbergh

The first of several collaborations between Soderbergh and actor George Clooney, it was released by Universal Pictures on June 26, 1998.

The film received Academy Award nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Editing. It won the Edgar Award for Best Screenplay and the National Society of Film Critics awards for Best Film, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Out of Sight received universal acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 94% approval rating, based on 103 reviews, with an average rating of 7.90/10.

It went on to gross $37.5 million domestically and $40.2 million in the rest of the world for a worldwide total of $77.7 million.

Clooney said, "Out of Sight was the first time where I had a say, and it was the first good screenplay that I'd read where I just went, 'That's it.' And even though it didn't do really well box office-wise - we sort of tanked again - it was a really good film.

Some backround on the movie : Sandra Bullock was originally considered to play Karen Sisco opposite Clooney. According to Soderbergh, "What happened was I spent some time with [Clooney and Bullock] and they actually did have a great chemistry. But it was for the wrong movie. They really should do a movie together, but it was not Elmore Leonard energy.

Netflix Paid $587 Million for Ben Affleck’s AI Startup InterPositive

In a new regulatory filing, Netflix revealed that it paid $587 million in cash for InterPositive, a startup co-founded by actor and director Ben Affleck.

The streaming company announced the acquisition in March, with a statement from Affleck saying he wanted to “protect the power of human creativity.” According to Affleck, InterPublic’s AI tools help filmmakers improve their footage in post-production, particularly when it comes to making up for “real-world production challenges such as missing shots, background replacements or incorrect lighting.”

At the time, Netflix announced that the entire InterPositive team would be joining the company, with Affleck joining as a senior advisor, but it didn’t disclose the financial terms of the deal. A subsequent report in Bloomberg suggested that the deal could be worth up to $600 million.

In its most recent earnings report, Netflix said that around 300 of its titles have already used generative AI.

Disappointed a little especially when he was against ai for writing , should be against it for everything. It's costing peoples jobs can't only be against it when it's your problem.
