My baby is ill

Diana has upside just gotten through months of treating a corneal tear. She is doing well with that thank goodness. She had a physical that showed her heart was good. Her lungs were good. Everything was good. Her teeth are good. Even her ears are good. I got a call from her vet last week because her senior bloodwork was in and she’s got some very out of range liver numbers. They are so out of range that we are skipping bile acid test and going straight to a liver scan this Friday. I didn’t even see symptoms except that she was porky. She might not be porky that might be fluid. She started on dinnamarin on Monday. Would everyone say a prayer for this sweet girl?

Remind you of anyone?

In AD 69 the emperor Nero decided to enter the Olympics. He added poetry as a category. In the four horse chariot race, he used a 10 horse chariot and proceeded to turn it over on its side. Nevertheless, he was declared the victor in every race he entered. Some thought the judges might have been pressured. This is the same guy who fiddled as Rome burned.

Good News

Diana‘s eye is much better. There’s still a little divot, but it’s very shallow. The vet told me it was very deep initially. I don’t know what that means, I mean, I don’t know how deep a cornea is. She is doing another week of eye drops to be safe, but basically my girl has no problems. Can you tell by the look on her face?

GIVE

Now that SCOTUS has proven once again that they are GOP all the way it is time to give our team some help. I am giving every spare time. I have to the DNC because this fight is worth it. Please consider doing the same.

And of course VOTE in November

Maltese standard

A friend sent me this and I found it quite interesting. I took a close look at Diana and felt her legs front and back. I found she had perfect confirmation in the back but bowed knees in the front. I remember that Voca, perfect legs, front and back and when she ran, it was like a dream even when she walked it was like a dream. Diana is so darn lovable when she runs she hopped like a bunny. It may not be confirmation, but it sure makes her cute . Pet dogs are not expected to be in confirmation. It just shows what the AKC is looking for in standards.

She made friends with Bluey

Here is my sweet pea with her Bluey pillow. She loves the cartoon, she will watch it for at least 30 minutes without looking away. I bought her this Bluey pillow, and it scared her. I guess it’s just too big. She is now made friends with it and sleeps with it. Do your dogs like Bluey?

Her Favorite

Diana was so upset yesterday. I noticed that she couldn’t settle. I wondered if it was her tummy but as usual, she would eat anything or everything if it was placed before her. I thought maybe she has pain in her eye. We are still struggling with that. (It is looking better). She just would not settle into her 22 hour nap is she normally takes. I was doing laundry and had grabbed her blanket. It’s a hospital blanket that I wore home as a coat one time. When I folded it and put it on her end of the Sofa, she immediately lay down and went to sleep. I had hijacked her blanket without even thinking about it. In the picture, you can see my little pile of fluff with her head pointed to the armrest. She is snoozing away. Believe it or not I have clipped her down to about a quarter inch Of Fur and she is still my little pile of fluff. She has coat for days.

Ouch

Digging out the brick wall which is my leg.
Diana suffering an eye ulcer from almost 2 months ago. Her doctor has tried everything. We were both trying to avoid surgery but now I will schedule her for surgery on Monday. Thankfully, she is in good health.

Diana on staycation

Diana and I are going on a staycation at the beach next week with friends. It’s not very far but we will be on the beach looking at the ocean so it should be nice. I had decided to get Diana clipped back to about a quarter inch, maybe half an inch. I am looking at this glorious coat and I can’t stand the thought of doing that. She won with coat and the genetic raffle. Her hair is silky and it is long and it is thick.. I hate to cut her, but it is so hot. Right now she just has to do an In-N-Out to go potty and trust me. That’s all she wants to do she doesn’t like the heat either. The beach is a different issue. It will be hot with a breeze. There will be sand. I think there is no way to get through this whilst holding onto my sanity unless I clip her. Have any of you taking your dogs to the beach? If you didn’t clip them, how did you make things easier?

Great Checkup

I have been up and down with Diana lately. As I said, she’s slowing down. I say that because when she runs, she runs hard, but she will lie down and sleep a lot of the day. The past few nights she has awakened me, and I thought she was having seizures. I head to the vet. Two friends have convinced me to talk to him about euthanasia so I was very upset. I told him all of her symptoms and I finally said is it time to talk about the end of her life? He answered that her heart is good, her liver is good, her kidneys are good, her blood sugar is good, she has eye ulcers and nystagmus, which we’re gonna work on. Why do you think you need to put down your dog? He said if you’re gonna put her down, I’ll take her. The man laughed out loud at me.

Bottom line is we have to clear up these eye ulcers. He thinks when it’s dark if she can’t see or maybe see a flashing light coming from the street light and it is terrifying her. If she were having seizures, it would look altogether difference. I guess I have learned something.

Why isn’t the Governor of KY acting to move Massie into the Senate.

I think it’s pretty clear Mitch McConnell is not coming back. I don’t know if he died. I don’t know if he’s incapacitated, but I do know when someone’s hiding something and the Republicans are hiding something. The governor could call for a special election. Massie could run for McConnell’s seat. Is Massie the hold up? If the GOP doesn’t like it, they could show proof of life. Can someone tell me why the governor isn’t doing anything other than making a few noises?

Sign of age?

Diana is slowing down and that is to be expected. She’s closer to 12 years old than 11 years old. The thing that’s got me confused is that she is so cantankerous in her old age. I gave her a bath this evening and she fought like a hellcat. I’m very careful with her joints with her back, but she wanted no part of it from the very beginning. I have been grooming her instead of taking her elsewhere so that I can be sure she isn’t hurt by someone who might forget she is getting older. She doesn’t want to ride in the car. If I have to take her somewhere, she will whine and cry for the duration. We have reached the part of her life where she thinks if she doesn’t want to do something she should just raise Kane about it. Does anyone else have this experience?

How much are we expected to take?

In an effort to make us forget about the Epstein files we are now in a war that Trump cannot get out of. Not only that he has torn apart the White House, the peoples house. He is ruining most of DC with his cheap shoddy construction. His buddies are making millions. It is time to make a loud noise. Louder than we have ever done. Stop the arch, let a knowledgeable and honest person take over repair of the reflecting pool as well as prepare of the White House.. following that, RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!!

The People’s House, Our Monuments

The people paid for the White House and Maintenance of the White House because it is our house. Monuments in Washington DC are our monuments because again we’ll pay for them and we pay for the maintenance. One brain disabled man has been allowed to come in and turn it into a sideshow. There is still time to send in comment to the national Park service regarding the orange turd arch. It is time we started making loud noises.
