Notes from the Narrator:

NEW RULE: You don't have to bounce the CA off of me anymore. Just direct it to someone. I don't have to know who, I'll just wait for it to arrive from someone.

- NEW RULE 2: You cannot post a P/CA until 24 hours have passed. So the thread must be 24 hours old before any Activations can be submitted. This is to take timezones and real life into consideration for everyone included.

- If you read a PA that you like a lot, consider leaving a comment. The player always appreciates positive feedback, and most players spend a lot of time on their blurbs and characterizations! Give em a holler if you like what you read!

- There's new Command Decks coming, but tomorrow! Didn't have the time this evening. :)

RESOLUTION OF PHASE 4 ACTIVATIONS

CIS LIGHT SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Guilded Dagger's positioning pays off, placing it directly behind the Lance of the South. Dropping its cloak, it fires five salvos of capital ion missiles followed by five salvos of concussion missiles directly into the Victory-class destroyer's stern.

The barrage strikes home, damaging the Lance's engines and temporarily disabling its weapon systems, though the ship remains otherwise intact and operational.

The Guilded Dagger immediately attempts to disengage and re-cloak. However, the enormous volume of fire has revealed its position and leaves it vulnerable while withdrawing.

Meanwhile, Task Force Dorn is ordered to advance against the Republic forces surrounding the foundry.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Lance of the South survives the ambush with one engine disabled, its shields reduced by roughly half and its missile systems temporarily offline and recycling. Its turbolasers remain operational, but the engine damage prevents it from reaching the foundry.

Faltheir Squadron pursues the revealed Guilded Dagger, preventing it from safely re-engaging its cloak. Despite heavy point-defence fire, repeated strafing runs and proton torpedo attacks damage the Lupus Raider's hull, one of its forward mandibles and two missile launchers.

The Republic Carracks and Arquitens continue ahead without the Lance, surrounding the foundry before docking with the ancient station.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - COVERT ACTIVATION

The planned Kerbal Special counterattack cannot be executed while the Lance's missile systems are disabled and recycling.

CIS ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The 12th Raxus Korps further deepens its defensive positions, constructing additional ramparts and protected artillery emplacements. Reconnaissance elements, supported by three HMP gunships, probe the Atrapoi formations ahead while avoiding unnecessary engagement. The Korps is additionally reinforced with B2 Super Battle Droids from the Army Reserve.

[CIS-specific information gathered.]

Meanwhile, the 14th Armored Division advances along the road into Usk-9/10 and prepares attack positions.

Defoliator artillery fires into Tesh/Trill-9/10, burning away further stretches of jungle.

CIS ARMY GENERAL - COVERT ACTIVATION

Under cover of darkness, Army Reserve HMPs penetrate toward Atrekapa and deploy SD-K4 Assassin Spider Droids within the city and its outer defensive positions.

The insertion succeeds, but the withdrawing HMPs are detected and engaged by the Composite Beam Towers. The transports are destroyed before they can return to Separatist lines:

>The first HMP crossed the mountains at 04:21.

>It flew without running lights, low enough that the jungle canopy bent beneath the wash of its repulsors. Two more followed at irregular intervals, black shapes passing between the mountains surrounding Atrekapa rather than above them. They did not fly in formation. Formation was useful when one wanted to be recognized as part of something larger but tonight, recognition was precisely what they wished to avoid.

>Atrekapa slept badly beneath them.

>The mountain city never truly became dark. Its forges saw to that. Great orange wounds glowed within the mountainside where generations of Atrapoi had cut workshops, foundries and manufactories into the rock. Chimneys climbed between towers of black stone, coughing smoke into the cold mountain air, while furnace-light illuminated the lowest clouds from beneath. Even at this hour there were workers crossing bridges between districts, carts rattling along narrow streets and exhausted labourers making their way home as the next shift descended toward the forges.

>The war had changed the rhythm of the city, but it had not stopped it.

>Searchlights periodically swept the clouds. Anti-aircraft crews sat beneath camouflage netting around the surrounding peaks. Farther down the mountain, artillery batteries remained buried beneath earth and stone, their crews sleeping beside their guns. Every road entering Atrekapa was watched. Every major approach had been fortified.

>The enemy was out there.

>That was what everyone had been told as suspended underneath the lead HMP, something unfolded.

>Eight articulated legs separated from the compact mass secured against the suspension net, each ending in a narrow razored point. They extended one after another until the SD-K4 rose into something resembling an enormous mechanical spider, its armoured central body suspended between a forest of thin limbs. Multiple red photoreceptors illuminated around its head and swept across the lands below. The machine was barely more than a metre tall and did not resemble a soldier at all. There were no hands to hold a rifle, no recognizably humanoid face, no attempt by its designers to imitate the shape of those it had been built to kill.

>It was an instrument made for one purpose.

>A command packet arrived. DEPLOYMENT ZONE REACHED.

>The machine acknowledged as another followed. RESTRAINT PROTOCOLS: DISENGAGED.

>For a fraction of a second the assassin droid remained motionless. The routines responsible for distinguishing combatants from protected noncombatants were bypassed and all target restrictions disappeared. Contingencies intended to limit unnecessary casualties ceased returning errors.

>New priorities replaced them.

>PRIMARY: COMMAND PERSONNEL. SECONDARY: MILITARY PERSONNEL. TERTIARY: CIVILIAN POPULATION.

>It fell perhaps thirty metres before eight legs struck the roof of an Atrekapa storehouse. Metal buckled beneath the impact, but the machine itself barely seemed to notice. Its limbs folded around the shock and immediately redistributed its weight. Four legs found purchase while the others carried it forward, then those four moved while another set anchored. There was no gallop, no recognizably animal gait. The thing seemed almost to flow across the roof.

>It reached the edge and continued over it.

>The SD-K4 rotated around the corner without slowing, four limbs clinging to the vertical stone while the others searched ahead for new purchase. Within seconds it had descended three storeys and vanished into the darkness of an alley.

>Another assassin droid dropped near an artillery emplacement. Another landed atop an industrial tower. Another caught itself halfway down the outer wall of a residential block and crawled beneath an elevated roadway. Across Atrekapa and its preliminary defensive positions, dark shapes fell from darker aircraft and disappeared into the city.

>The HMPs turned northwest.

>For eleven seconds, nothing happened, and then a light appeared against the mountains.

>The Composite Beam struck the HMP amidships. For an instant, the entire gunship became a white silhouette suspended against the darkness. Armour vaporized. Internal bulkheads ceased to exist. The beam passed through one side, through the reactor compartment and out the other before continuing into the clouds beyond.

>Then the HMP came apart. Its two halves continued forward independently, trailing burning fragments across the sky before disappearing behind the mountainside.

>The remaining two gunships broke as Atrekapa's defensive composite towers were waking.

>Ancient mechanisms rotated within fortified housings as targeting arrays acquired the fleeing craft. A second Composite Beam fired, missed an HMP by metres and sliced through a distant rock formation instead. Molten stone erupted down the mountainside. The gunships scattered with one diving toward the jungle while the second climbed desperately.

>The towers corrected and a beam caught the climbing HMP. The gunship spun violently, shedding burning armour before striking the mountainside hard enough to illuminate the valley beneath it.

>The other did not make it much farther.

>From the western battlements, an Atrapoi watch officer lowered his binoculars as burning wreckage fell across the jungle beyond the city. Around him soldiers cheered. One slapped another across the shoulder, while farther along the emplacement someone gave a rattling victory cry as another distant explosion briefly illuminated the clouds.

>The watch officer allowed himself a smile.

>"Confirm all contacts destroyed."

>His signals attendant bent over the tracking station. "All airborne contacts destroyed, sir."

>The officer looked toward the dying fires. "Inform command. Confederate aircraft attempted to penetrate Atrekapa airspace. Composite batteries intercepted them."

>"Any indication of their objective, sir?"

>"Reconnaissance, perhaps. Or an attack on the batteries."

>The attendant nodded and began transmitting. Neither noticed the thing hanging beneath their observation platform.

>The SD-K4 had six legs anchored silently into the underside of the stonework. The remaining two were folded tightly against its body. Its weight was distributed so perfectly that there had been no scrape of metal, no shower of grit, nothing to betray that more than a hundred kilograms of machinery hung scarcely two metres beneath their feet.

>Its photoreceptors tracked movement through gaps in the platform while auditory sensors separated voices, recorded radio transmissions and compared uniforms against targeting profiles.

>One voice repeatedly issued instructions, and others obeyed.

>COMMAND PERSONNEL: 93.8%.

>Two limbs unfolded.

>The watch officer heard something beneath the platform, and his smile disappeared immediately.

>"What was that?"

>The soldier beside him looked around. "What?"

>"Underneath us."

>Both listened, but there was nothing. The officer drew his autoslugger and approached the parapet. He leaned forward, looking down the sheer stone face toward the jungle hundreds of metres below.

>There was nothing there, so he began to straighten.

>Two razored limbs came over the parapet. One hooked around his torso while the other caught his shoulder, and the officer disappeared over the edge so quickly that the soldier beside him needed a second to understand what had happened.

>The rest of the SD-K4 came over the wall, its body remained low as eight legs unfolded around it, photoreceptors glowing red through the darkness. The nearest Atrapoi managed half a scream before one of the forward limbs struck.

>—

>At 04:31, an artillery communications officer disappeared while walking between two command bunkers. His escort found a smear of blue blood disappearing vertically up a wall.

>At 04:34, three warriors entered a maintenance gallery beneath the eastern industrial district after workers reported something moving inside the ventilation system. Their communications ceased one minute later.

>At 04:39, the first civilian emergency call reached the city watch.

>The caller was incoherent. Something had entered their home. There were screams in the background, followed by a sound like metal moving very quickly across stone, and then static.

>At 04:42, another call arrived from six streets away, and then another. At 04:45, Atrekapa sounded the internal alarm.

>—

>Great bronze bells began tolling from towers across the city as workers stopped in the streets and forge crews looked upward from furnaces. Families woke to pounding on doors as wardens ordered them toward shelters. Soldiers who had spent days watching the horizon suddenly found themselves running inward, toward their own homes.

>Nobody knew what they were looking for.

>The first reports contradicted one another. Droid commandos. Battle droids. Saboteurs. Mechanical spiders. Some enormous jungle creature. Several small machines. Someone insisted the enemy had emerged from underground. Another report claimed they had climbed the city walls.

>Then the bodies began to establish a pattern, and finally, Lancer Ythrak found the first machine in a residential quarter beneath the southern forges.

>By then dawn was beginning to colour the clouds above Atrekapa, although little sunlight reached the narrow streets carved between the city's towers. He moved at the head of eleven city guards, autosluggers raised, while civilians hurried past them in the opposite direction.

>"Where?"

>A terrified forge-worker pointed with all four hands. "Courtyard! Through there!"

>Lancer Ythrak grabbed him by the shoulder. "How many did you see?"

>"One!"

>The Lancer released him. "Get underground."

>The worker ran as Lancer Ythrak signalled his soldiers forward. They entered the courtyard in pairs, but except them, nothing moved.

>Laundry hung between balconies overhead. A breakfast table had been overturned beside one doorway. A basket of fruit lay spilled across the paving stones. There was blood beside it, leading toward an alley on the opposite side.

>One of the warriors whispered, "Stones preserve us."

>"Quiet."

>Lancer Ythrak crouched beside the blood.

>There were marks in the stone beside it. Small punctures arranged in an irregular pattern. Too many for footprints. He followed them with his eyes toward the wall.

>The marks continued upward, so Lancer Ythrak raised his weapon.

>"Above-"

>The SD-K4 dropped from the underside of a balcony.

>It did not fall so much as unfold downward. Four legs released simultaneously while the others remained attached, swinging the entire machine beneath them before letting go. Its first pair of razored limbs struck the warrior beside Lancer Ythrak before its remaining legs had even touched the ground.

>Lancer Ythrak threw himself behind the overturned table as the courtyard erupted.

>Autoslugger fire hammered the walls. The SD-K4 accelerated sideways with a movement so alien that several soldiers fired where it had been rather than where it was going. Eight legs struck stone in overlapping rhythms, some pushing, others anchoring, others already reaching for the next surface. It ran three strides across the ground, planted four limbs against the wall and simply continued upward.

>Rounds followed it, chewing fragments from balconies and masonry. One struck its armour and ricocheted. The machine changed direction.

>It crossed the wall horizontally, body almost flush against the stone, then launched itself across the courtyard. Two forward limbs struck first, one razored limb punched through the weapon of a warrior. Another struck his chest and hurled him backward.

>The machine disappeared into an alley, so Lancer Ythrak rose, and ordered a pursuit.

>The alley narrowed ahead of them. Lancer Ythrak saw movement at the far end and fired. His soldiers joined him, filling the passage with autoslugger rounds, but the shape disappeared around the corner.

>It had wanted them to follow it. And that’s when another SD-K4 emerged from a window behind them.

>Something designed specifically to understand how living beings responded to danger had waited until every weapon was pointed in the opposite direction.

>It landed among them and eight razored limbs became almost impossible to distinguish individually. Two supported the machine while another pair carried it forward; the remaining four struck, caught, pushed and stabbed wherever openings appeared. In seconds, only Lancer Ythrak remained.

>Lancer Ythrak emptied his weapon into it, several rounds struck and one penetrated a joint, but it did not stop. Then his autoslugger clicked empty, so he drew his knife.

>And he charged.

>—

>Across Atrekapa, the bells continued ringing, but yet by sunrise, nobody knew how many Assassin Droids were inside the city. That uncertainty became a weapon of its own.

>Every scrape from a rooftop became claws against stone as every malfunctioning light became sabotage. Every unexplained radio silence became another dead patrol and wardens began firing at shadows as civilians refused orders to leave buildings.

>Barricades appeared across major intersections as heavy weapons were dragged from defensive positions and pointed down streets never intended to become firing lanes. Scouts learned quickly never to stand beneath balconies and never to assume a ceiling was empty simply because nothing moved upon it.

>Yes, Atrekapa was afraid, but it fought back.

With their restraint protocols disabled, the SD-K4s disperse through Atrekapa and begin hunting independently. Officers and military personnel are targeted where encountered, while civilians are attacked indiscriminately.

Panic rapidly spreads through the city as Atrapoi guards mobilize to hunt down the infiltrators. The SD-K4s remain active within Atrekapa and are now operating independently.

CIS SQUADRON LEADER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Dirge Squadron successfully seals the foundry hangar, closes its blast doors and disables the Republic shuttle before venting the compartment to vacuum. The surviving Vulture droids fortify the hangar and remain behind to defend it against further boarding attempts.

IG-L9 and Lucky Thirteen distribute copies of their programming among 182 Pistoeka sabotage droids, which disperse throughout the ancient station through corridors, maintenance spaces and ventilation systems as IG-L9 joins the hunt personally, encountering and killing several isolated Clone Engineers as the Republic personnel withdraw deeper into the foundry.

>The engineers had sealed themselves inside what they thought was a secondary control room.

>A portable barricade had been dragged across the doorway, two durasteel cabinets pushed behind it for good measure. Five clone engineers waited behind them with carbines raised while the sixth crouched beside a portable scanner on the floor. Beyond the barricade, the corridor was empty.

>"Contact. Twenty metres."

>Everyone looked toward the distant door. Nothing.

>One engineer adjusted his grip on his carbine. "Which corridor?"

>"Same one, sir. Straight ahead."

>"There's nothing there."

>"Fourteen."

>The clones stared through the narrow gap between the barricades. Emergency lights painted the corridor in alternating pools of white and darkness.

>"Twelve."

>The engineer behind the scanner frowned and struck its casing with one hand.

>"Sir, nine metres!"

>"That’s right outside the door."

>"Seven..."

>The corporal nearest the door leaned forward. Still nothing.

>"Five metres, sir."

>"That's impossible, that’s inside the room!"

>"Four, sir."

>The corporal slowly looked upward. The ceiling above them was made from removable maintenance panels.

>"Three."

>His eyes widened. "They're not in the corridor..."

>Dozens of red photoreceptors stared back from every gap in the ceiling.

The station is now heavily contested: Republic forces remain trapped inside alongside IG-L9 and hundreds of dispersed Buzz Droids, while Dirge Squadron holds the sealed hangar.

ATRAPOI ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Another 30 Spinnerettes emerge from concealment among the asteroid fields and attack the Separatist convoy from the rear, adding another wave of Atrapoi fighters to the ongoing engagement.

Meanwhile, 16 Spinnerettes concentrate exclusively on the Emerald, swarming Lim's shuttle from multiple directions. Several resort to direct ramming attacks as they attempt to destroy the craft.

The Atrapoi fleets and divisions otherwise manoeuvre, entrench and reposition as ordered as High Marshal Ismyrili transmits new coordinates to the Republic, formally relocating the planned negotiations to Soul Lands Tower 3.

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Republic fleet reforms and advances to engage the main Separatist fleet. Y-wings deploy behind the fighter screen, preparing to strike the CIS munitions cruisers once an opening is created. Fleet-wide scans continue tracking the Guilded Dagger, further preventing it from disappearing beneath its cloak.

At the upper foundry, the Carracks and Arquitens dock and deploy reinforcements to assist the trapped Republic personnel. They immediately encounter masses of Pistoeka sabotage droids throughout the corridors and are nearly overwhelmed as they fight their way deeper into the installation.

[Republic slices the foundry and gains control of its systems.]

SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The battered Separatist convoy regroups and resumes its descent toward Atrapos. Composite Beam Towers track the incoming vessels and open fire, several beams converging upon the Maritime and cleaving the Sphyrna-class corvette apart.

The Emerald is struck repeatedly by attacking Spinnerettes, including several direct ramming attacks, and is forced into a crash-landing. The remaining Sphyrnas successfully reach the Separatist ground forces, while Koor Tell and the surviving Belbullabs withdraw into CIS-controlled airspace after suffering five losses to the swarm of Atrapoi fighters.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Fleet reaches Kresh-33 and establishes its blockade formation facing the approaching Republic fleet. Four Vulture squadrons reinforce Detachment Dorn, while another two move ahead toward the northern foundry.

REPUBLIC ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

General Vin departs Base Alpha aboard a disarmed LAAT with BE-3PO, proceeding toward the Soul Lands to meet High Marshal Ismyrili and begin negotiations:

>The Composite Tower could be seen from kilometres away.

>It rose from the open country beside the Soul Lands like something driven into the earth by a god, an immense column of dark Atrapoi metal disappearing into the low clouds. Jedi General Eucris Vintillia watched it through the open side of the LAAT as the gunship descended, its weapons deliberately removed and its troop bay occupied by only herself and BE-3PO.

>"Oh," the protocol droid said, craning his neck toward the tower. "That is considerably larger than intelligence suggested."

>General Vin said nothing.

>The LAAT banked, revealing the delegation waiting below. An Atrapoi transport sloop rested in the grass beside the tower, its enormous articulated wings folded against its armoured body. Several figures stood before it.

>She recognized High Marshal Ismyrili immediately.

>Not from any holograph, but from the way everyone else stood around him.

>The LAAT settled onto the open ground, flattening the grass beneath its repulsors. Vin descended first, BE-3PO following as the engines wound down behind them. Across the field, High Marshal Ismyrili left his entourage and began walking to meet her.

>As they approached, each inspected the other.

>High Marshal Ismyrili's gaze passed first across the LAAT, lingering upon its empty weapon housings before settling on the human approaching him. Two arms. Soft skin. Smaller than an Atrapoi warrior. Yet this being commanded an army that had descended from the stars and now occupied Atrapoian soil.

>General Vintillia's attention moved across High Marshal Ismyrili with much the same curiosity. Four arms, horned chitin and a physique that made the High Marshal considerably more imposing in person than Republic intelligence had conveyed. His guards remained behind him, making no movements.

>They stopped several paces apart.

>Behind High Marshal Ismyrili stood the strange ornithopter and the distant edge of the Soul Lands. Behind General Vin sat the disarmed LAAT and between them, the grass rippled in the wind while the colossal Composite Tower hummed overhead.

>Far above, machinery groaned. The tower's emitter shifted somewhere inside the clouds, tracking something neither delegation could see.

>Both leaders briefly looked upward, and then back at one another.

>For the first time in thousands of years, a representative of the Galactic Republic stood face-to-face with the ruler of Atrapos.

>Neither spoke.

[RULES FOR NEGOTIATION COMING TOMORROW]

Meanwhile, Base Alpha goes to high alert and mans its fortifications. The 219th and 601st Artillery Regiments relocate to new firing positions, while the 385th concentrates around Esk-37 to cover the eastern approach. The 21st Assault Legion establishes positions west of Grek-36, preparing to strike the flank of any force advancing toward the base along the road.

REPUBLIC LIGHT SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Oblivion's Emissary successfully repairs and re-engages its cloaking device before proceeding toward the [redacted] at [redacted].

[REP-specific information gathered.]

Remaining concealed, the Emissary investigates the [redacted] and [redacted] the [redacted] of an [redacted].

CIS HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Using telemetry recovered from the mysterious probe, Task Force Cresh successfully predicts the movement of the roaming asteroid field and withdraws from the Atragrav cloud.

The Vaklu, Hawkbat, Shyyyo and Restoration manoeuvre close the approaching field without incident, using the moving asteroids to conceal their formation and provide cover against the Republic fleet.

From within the asteroid field, the task force begins establishing firing solutions against the nearest Republic warships.

REPUBLIC SQUADRON LEADER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

General Astrid Starflare's squadron, together with reinforcements jam the nearby satellites, allowing her and the shuttle to land inside the foundry hangar and take full control of the southern foundry.

[Republic slices the foundry and gains control of its systems.]

SITUATION REPORT

As the two fleets now face each other, just sublight-minutes away from turbolaser range, the first strike against a capital ship have been conducted. As the Guilded Dagger attempts to disengage, it is being strafed by Z-95Cs from its original target, the Lance of the South.

Simultaneously, large swarms of Atrapoi swarm fighters gather in low orbit as the shuttle carrying Fleet Admiral Krosa Lim and Commander Vai Lok has crash-landed somewhere on the planet.

Both foundries have been sliced by Republic engineers. However, the situation at the northern foundry is... complicated.

At the same time, Jedi General Eucris Vintillia meets with High Marshal Ismyrili for early negotiations, while Separatist Assassin Droids prowl around the streets of Atrekapa, killing anyone they cross paths with.

And through the void, an echo filled with pain and sorrow can be heard, originating within the ancient orbital relic...

PHASE RULES REMINDER

Each faction receives six roles to claim and Activate:

- (space) The Fleet Admiral that controls the main battlegroup and forwards a Covert Activation to any role within the faction (including ground),

- (space) the two Ship Commanders that commands their capital ship (Light Command and Heavy Command),

- (space) the Squadron Leader that leads their ace squadron,

- (ground) the Army General that commands the entire ground army and forwards a Covert Activation to any role within the faction (including space),

- (ground) the Special Operations Commander that commands their special operations group

Each role receives one Public Activation. Each faction receives two Covert Activation, allocated to any role by the Fleet Admiral / Army General in secret via the Narrator.

Any user can claim any role. Beware that you may claim others OCs if they’re currently in-battle. Just write a short comment stating something reminiscing this:

“I claim the role of Fleet Admiral / Ship Commander (Light/Heavy) / Squadron Leader of the Republic/Separatist Fleet.”

A claim confirmation will by and large be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, regardless of whose OC the role currently is, unless specified by the Narrator (special events, for example).

PUBLIC / COVERT ACTIVATION

Public Activations define intent, execution, posture, and priorities. Covert Activations modify results, timing, or interpretation and can result in unforeseen advantages. No player may declare outcomes, only actions and intentions.

PUBLIC ACTIVATION:

A Public Activation is an official declaration of intent, describing what your character, ship, squadron, or fleet is attempting to do during that phase.

It must include tradeoffs, constraints, or risks where appropriate and be written as a single, coherent action or courses of action. Narrative flair is encouraged but will not affect the outcome/resolution.

Public Activations are binding. Once posted, they cannot be edited or withdrawn.

COVERT ACTIVATION:

Covert Activations are limited in scope, but allows you to conduct extra and/or secret maneuvers, or otherwise act again, outside of the Public Activation.

Your Covert Activation must describe intent, method, or preparations, and describe your character’s motivation and worries.

You must include a cost, risk, limitation, or a tradeoff. You may modify or reinforce your Public Activation if you wish, but may not contradict or override it completely.

If you have been forwarded a Covert Activation from your Fleet Admiral / Army General, the Narrator will let you know, so keep an eye on your inbox.

---

After/if your claim has been confirmed by the Narrator, follow the instructions (if any) and post a separate comment with your Public Activation. Obviously, you are free to discuss with your fellow GAR/CIS Officers what your course of action should be, before submitting your Public/Covert Activation, and are encouraged to roleplay within the constraints of the prompt.

NEXT PHASE

Order of Battle 2: PHASE 4 — UNWORTHY

Links:
If you're not caught up on what Order of Battle is, I suggest you take a look at the original posts, which can be found below:

Order of Battle 2:
OoB II - Intro Post
OoB II - Guidelines ("rules")
OoB II - Player's Quick Reference
OoB II - Planetary Intelligence Report: Atrapos
OoB II - Phase 0
OoB II - Phase 3 (Previous Phase)

The Original OoB:
OoB - Intro Post
OoB - Phase 0
OoB - Final Phase

---

Notes from the Narrator:

- NEW RULE: You don't have to bounce the CA off of me anymore. Just direct it to someone. I don't have to know who, I'll just wait for it to arrive from someone.

- If you read a PA that you like a lot, consider leaving a comment. The player always appreciates positive feedback, and most players spend a lot of time on their blurbs and characterizations! Give em a holler if you like what you read!

- Same Command Decks as in Phase 3, since there are (almost) no new Tokens or compositions that need explaining.

---

The theme of this Phase is... "you shall not pass", seemingly. It wasn't my intention, but it turned out that way. :D

Last Phase, Rep LSC was never claimed, so new people joining, keep an eye on this role in case you want to join in. :)

Ground combat is starting to shape up, and I have no real solution on how to track the numbers. Working on it. Maybe a holodeck for the ground commanders?

Anyway, time for phase 4!

Music? Yeah, let's play something that may or may not be a clue.

RESOLUTION OF PHASE 3 ACTIVATIONS

SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Dirge Squadron conducts another high-speed attack against the defence satellite at Grek-22, deploying Discord missiles whose Buzz Droids systematically sabotage its targeting sensors and weapon power systems. Unable to interface directly with the ancient station, the droids nevertheless disable its offensive capabilities while leaving much of the installation intact.

Dirge Squadron then turns toward the abandoned foundry, approaching at maximum speed, intent on boarding said station.

[CIS-specific information gathered.]

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Republic fleet advances to the centre of the system and establishes a defensive position around the captured defence station. The Venators and Acclamators form a diamond around the installation. The remainder of the fleet forms a defensive square, with Carracks holding the outer corners, Arquitens forming the next layer and the DHCs occupying the inner positions. Tango Squad withdraws from the captured station and returns to the fleet.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Lance of the South blasts apart the asteroids obstructing its advance, using tractor beams to drive the resulting debris ahead as it pushes through the newly opened passage. Emerging from the gap, the cruiser acquires Dirge Squadron during its final approach toward the ancient foundry and immediately opens fire, launching missiles after the fleeing Vulture Droids.

Dirge Squadron reaches the foundry moments ahead of the incoming barrage, disappearing into its hangar before the missiles can overtake them. Deprived of their original targets, the missiles slam into the ancient station instead, detonating across its exterior and damaging the foundry as the Separatist fighters shelter within.

ATRAPOI ARMY GENERAL - COVERT ACTIVATION

Ismyrili travels ahead of the 1st Fleet aboard an unloaded transport sloop, accompanied only by his bodyguards and carrying no weapons, intending to seek an audience with Themlykos.

>!Upon reaching the borders of the Soul Lands, however, the delegation is intercepted by the Soul Sentinels and denied passage.!<

>!It is then that Ismyrili notices something troubling: despite the ancient prohibition against carrying weapons within the Soul Lands, the Sentinels themselves are armed with cortosis blades and autoslugger sidearms.!<

SEPARATIST LIGHT SHIP CAPTAIN - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Guilded Dagger continues its reconnaissance of the Republic fleet under cloak, dropping its shields and diverting additional power to the engines as it accelerates past and attempts to flank the Republic formation. Commander Zal maintains strict emissions control while seeking an advantageous position beyond the enemy fleet.

Meanwhile, the remainder of Task Force Dorn continues its advance toward the foundry at Cresh-24.

SEPARATIST LIGHT SHIP CAPTAIN - COVERT ACTIVATION

The Guilded Dagger continues its high-speed flanking manoeuvre under cloak, slipping [redacted] without revealing its presence. Commander Zal reaches [redacted] with an unobstructed line of fire at its intended target, but lacks sufficient time to initiate an attack. The vessel consequently remains concealed, holding position with its weapons silent, but ready.

SEPARATIST HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Reinforced by the Hawkbat, Restoration and two Vulture squadrons, Task Force Cresh moves south toward Usk-30 and enters the Atragrav cloud, taking position along its inner edge. The Vulture squadrons remain with the task force while the Shyyyo launches its remaining Tri-Fighters and HMP gunships to sweep the asteroid field.

The reconnaissance craft discover something unexpected among the drifting rocks: a small, pulsating probe of unfamiliar construction. Unlike the ancient installations scattered throughout the system, the device appears newly built and actively operating, though its technology is noticeably cruder than contemporary Republic or Separatist equivalents. Its purpose, and whatever signal it continues to pulse into the void, remains unknown.

[CIS-specific information gathered.]

SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The CIS 3rd Fleet advances northwest along the central asteroid belt toward the opening at Kresh-32, while its detached formations continue their respective operations. The Kingslayer launches waves of Discord missiles against the defence satellites surrounding the Orbital Relic; unable to seize control of the ancient systems directly, the Buzz Droids successfully sabotage and disable the installations.

Elsewhere, Condor Squadron advances toward the asteroid cluster at Trill-14 and holds position, while the Karkaris and Maritime continue toward Atrapos carrying [redacted]. Simultaneously the Emerald, escorted by Obsidian Squadron, continues toward the Soul Lands carrying Krosa Lim and Vai Lok in search of the Spiritseer.

Meanwhile, with the surrounding defences silenced, a Sheathipede shuttle crosses the perimeter and enters the Relic's hangar, deploying its B1 and B2 boarding party into the ancient station:

SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Separatist artillery answers the Atrapoi bombardment with sustained counter-battery fire, successfully locating and striking several hostile fixed positions.
The 1st Field Artillery Regiment suffers approximately 3% combat losses, the 2nd suffers 4%, and the 3rd suffers 2%.

Meanwhile, the 37th Special Artillery Regiment unleashes Defoliator ordnance across Unth-7/8, Vev-7/8 and Vorn-7/8. Vast stretches of jungle and woodland are consumed, burning away the vegetation and vast swathes of jungle and wildlife.

Behind the barrage, the 14th Armoured Division prepares for battle while the 12th Raxus Korps further strengthens its defensive positions.

SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - COVERT ACTIVATION

ATRAPOI ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Across Atrapos, the Tetrarchy's ground forces continue their manoeuvres as ordered. The 1st Division and Fleet advance toward the Republic landing zone, the 4th Division presses southwest toward the Separatists, while other formations reposition through Atrapos' subterranean rivers and caverns or deepen their defensive positions. The 2nd Fleet begins coordinated counter-battery operations, deploying Snapper interceptors to locate Separatist artillery positions and directing heavy missile fire against identified targets as several artillery batteries return fire.
The Field Artillery Regiment of the 44th Royal Reserve Brigade suffers 6% losses.

The Atrapoian Snappers descend upon what appear to be exposed Separatist artillery positions, camera pods searching for the batteries responsible for the earlier counter-fire.

They find them as the sky erupts:

SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - COVERT ACTIVATION

Concealed anti-aircraft batteries open fire simultaneously from prepared positions across the Separatist lines, revealing that the exposed artillery had been bait from the beginning. The Snappers suddenly find themselves trapped inside overlapping fields of flak and defensive fire, their reconnaissance run transformed within seconds into a carefully prepared anti-air ambush. Not one of the twenty-four Snappers survive the carefully planned ambush.

At Atrekapa, the response to the approaching Separatist craft is equally dramatic:

>!Hive-Rockets thunder from the city's cosmodrome, each carrying Spinnerette starfighters beyond the atmosphere.!<

>!Reaching low orbit, the launch vehicles burst apart and release seventy-two fighters, which immediately descend upon the approaching Maritime, Karkaris, Emerald and their escorting Obsidian Squadron.!<

[Atrekapa Cosmodrone revealed on the Ground Map.]

[CIS-specific information gathered.]

REPUBLIC SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMANDER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Omicron and Grey Squads are temporarily reassigned to General Vintillia's command, providing their specialist capabilities in support of her forthcoming operations. The remaining available personnel of Kabiin-III assist with construction and technical work around the Republic FOB.

Meanwhile, Pitch Platoon deploys alongside Scout Platoon Leth to conduct reconnaissance of nearby tunnel entrances and subterranean access points, remaining concealed and under strict orders to disengage if they encounter Atrapoian Knights or dangerous megafauna.

[GAR-specific information gathered.]

Dareth Zendra remains at the FOB, where ARC-8855 "Double" completes his requested alternative to a lightsaber for dealing with cortosis-armoured opponents: a custom vibrosaw sword.

REPUBLIC SQUADRON LEADER - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

General Starflare pushes ahead of the Republic formation, taking her Delta-7B directly into the outer envelope of the ancient foundry's defensive grid. Automated batteries track the interceptor as she crosses their fields of fire, but rather than engage, Astrid flies evasively along the perimeter while her astromech records targeting sweeps, fire-control emissions and operating frequencies.

With the station's defensive profile mapped, the telemetry is transmitted back to Flights Two and Three. The accompanying ARC-170s immediately put the data to use, flooding the identified frequencies with overlapping sweep, barrage and noise jamming. The foundry's tracking systems struggle beneath the concentrated electronic interference, significantly degrading their ability to acquire the approaching Republic craft.

Having completed the probing run without incident, Astrid breaks away from the station and returns toward the formation while Flights Two and Three maintain their electronic screen over the advancing Republic transports.

REPUBLIC ARMY GENERAL - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Construction at the Republic landing zone continues, with engineers expanding the fledgling base to accommodate future reinforcements while strengthening its defensive perimeter and observation posts.

SU-42 reconnaissance airspeeders from the 54th spread outward across the surrounding region, mapping and observing the terrain under strict orders to avoid contact and withdraw at the first sign of danger.

[GAR-specific information gathered.]

Meanwhile, General Vintillia begins preparations for negotiations with the Atrapoi. A protocol droid is requisitioned and loaded with everything thus far gathered concerning their language, while Vintillia receives Zendra and Iviin's report on the Kenryn Valley operation and begins reassessing Republic intelligence on the Atrapoi.

SITUATION REPORT

In orbit, the Republic Fifth Fleet has consolidated around the captured central defence platform, establishing a defensive formation within the surrounding Atragrav field. Separatist formations continue to disperse across the system, probing the Republic position and advancing upon several of the ancient installations scattered throughout the battlespace.

Contact with a Separatist boarding party sent aboard the Orbital Relic has been abruptly lost.

Above Atrapos itself, Atrapoi Spinnerette starfighters have been launched into low orbit aboard Hive-Rockets, intercepting the Maritime, Karkaris, Emerald and their escort before they can reach the surface.

Planetside, both invading armies continue consolidating their respective landing zones as Atrapoi forces manoeuvre against them. Heavy artillery exchanges have begun around Atrekapa, while Separatist Defoliator fire has set vast stretches of the surrounding jungle ablaze.

Meanwhile, reports of increasingly violent Adze activity continue throughout the southern hemisphere. The Cauldron-Born is moving toward the bloodshed.

NEXT PHASE

Phase 4 will end on Tuesday, the 18th of August:

CET (Central European Time): 21:00 (9:00 PM)

EST (Eastern Standard Time): 15:00 (3:00 PM)

PST (Pacific Standard Time): 12:00 (12:00 PM)

All PA/CAs must be submitted 24 hours before the time limit; so I have time to resolve it. Hard line on this rule!

---

MEME OF THE PHASE:

...Yeah, new subsection of the series. :P Might as well, lol.

Krosa Lim does this:

https://reddit.com/link/1vk2ew3/video/tyz9udht0fih1/player

>“Hello, Mara,” she said to the hologram. The miniaturized Togruta women smiled back, however even through the hologram Lim could sense the slight annoyance behind it. “Well hello Krosa,” Captain Ramara Dret said, that hint of annoyance behind her smile seeping into her voice, “I would have preferred you told me about your little ‘trip’ beforehand, instead of leaving me to find out from Goliath.” She snorted, “What a way with words the General has.”

>A slight pang of guilt hit Lim, her smile faltering. Yes, she should have said something, but it was to be a quick voyage, and nothing Dret needed to concern herself over.

>Right?

>“I’m.. sorry, Mara,” Lim said, genuine guilt for having not said anything earlier enveloping the words, “It’ll be a quick trip, and I’ll be back to the fleet in no time. Hopefully,” she began again, the smile returning, “If this meeting with the so-called ‘Spiritseer’ goes well, this campaign will end early.” Leaning closer to the projector, she added, “We might be able to sneak away for a day. Just the two of us.”

...Meanwhile, back in the shuttle, Vai Lok does this:

>Vai Lok paces in front of the holorecorder, hands behind her back, jaw tight. “Republic scoundrels!” she barks. “Jedi thugs! You fight for a broken system, neglectful and exploitative. You kill, you steal, you burn. Your Jedi only keep your own peace, following the republic rather than any real morality!” She raises a hand, held in a claw and lifting a clone helmet with the force. “You will serve it no longer. Your own atrocity fuels my power, and I and my dark mistress will crush you to dust!” At this, she closes her fist. The helmet crumples into scrap. “Officer and trooper and Jedi, you will be broken upon our blades, and your traitor Atrapi with you! Justice is coming, republic scum. Fear. Me.” She reaches her hand out and closes it. The recording shuts off.

Notes from the Narrator:

- Humble reminder to read the rules regarding how P/CAs work and please don't edit PAs after publishing them.

- PA/CAs are always resolved and clarified in chronological order as they were submitted and directly affects how certain events unfold.

- I’m only human after all, so if I've missed anything, please let me know. Any edits or retcons will have to be made the day after, but feel free to comment and I'll get back to you!

RESOLUTION OF PHASE 2 ACTIVATIONS

SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - u/Mattriculated - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Dirge Squadron reunites and continues its rapid advance toward Jenth-26, conducting a coordinated high-speed missile strike against the defence satellite at Jenth-28 as they pass. Successive Discord missiles overwhelm the ancient platform, disabling its weapon systems and leaving the satellite defunct. With the obstacle neutralized, Dirge Squadron continues toward Jenth-26 without committing to a prolonged engagement.

SEPARATIST SOC/G - u/catgirl_of_the_swarm - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Captain Vai Lok and her Commando Droid detachment are extracted from the surface by HMP gunship and return to orbit. Lok proceeds aboard the Separatist flagship Kingslayer, where she meets with Fleet Admiral Krosa Lim.

ATRAPOI TETRARCHY - u/Ahriman-119 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Atrapoi Tetrarchy begins a widespread redeployment across the continent, with the I, III, IV, V, VII and VIII Divisions advancing toward their assigned sectors while the II, IX, X, XI and XII Divisions fortify their existing positions. The I, III and IV Sky Fleets redeploy in support of the ground manoeuvres.

Meanwhile, Atrapoi skyships conduct long-range reconnaissance against both the Republic and Separatist landing forces, gathering intelligence on their respective army compositions while additional scans investigate the disturbance responsible for the sudden Adze migration. The intensive sensor activity comes at a cost: the scanning fleets reveal their positions, though the position of the 4th Fleet remains unverified.

[ATR-faction-specific information gathered.]

[GAR-faction-specific information gathered.]

[CIS-faction-specific information gathered.]

Following the destruction of the Kenryn Valley Beam Tower, the Tetrarchy formally declares Republic personnel responsible under Atrapoi law and demands their capture for trial, transmitting the declaration of the attack to both belligerent fleets.

The surviving garrison of the second Composite Beam Tower at Kenryn Valley [redacted] and [redacted] before withdrawing south to reinforce the nearby Atragrav installation in the Great Grass Sea.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SC - u/Rattfink45 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Lance of the South continues along the edge of the ionized Atragrav field, preparing to establish an ambush position behind the dense asteroid cluster ahead. Captain Antilles orders his forward batteries to begin clearing a firing corridor through the rocks, only for his weapons officers to report, with increasing confusion, that there are no asteroids there.

Captain Antilles can see perfectly well where they should be.

His charts agree with him.

The void outside the bridge does not.

Instead of the dense asteroid clusters, the Republic fleet can be seen advancing where the asteroids should have been.

Captain Antilles blinked once, and then twice. What?

Operation Boomtube is consequently placed on hold while the Lance of the South reaches the edge of the Atragrav field and its increasingly bewildered crew attempts to determine what, precisely, happened to the asteroid field.

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - u/Ok_Day8951 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Republic fleet continues its advance toward the centre of the system between the two major asteroid belts. Several ARC-170 squadrons deploy ahead to establish electronic interference around the defence platform, covering the insertion of Republic engineers that successfully seize the installation.

Meanwhile, Admiral Cutter broadcasts a message to the Atrapoi leadership, acknowledging the casualties inflicted during the Republic attack on the Composite Beam Tower and expressing his desire to avoid further hostilities. Cutter proposes cooperation against the Separatists and offers Republic support for Atrapos' continued independence in exchange for negotiations.

>The shuttle struck the station's hull with a heavy metallic thud, magnetic clamps locking hard against ancient plating.

"Seal confirmed and the jamming screen is holding."

>"Then we're going. Breach it."

>The shaped charge flashed, and a section of the access hatch disappeared inward in a storm of molten metal. Clone Marines poured through the opening, rifles leading, helmet lamps cutting narrow white beams through corridors that had stood dark for centuries.

>"First junction clear." "Second team, left." "Control chamber ahead. No contacts."

>They found the station's heart still alive. Alien symbols crawled across translucent displays while targeting tracks shifted continuously across a holographic representation of the surrounding battlespace. Republic vessels burned brightly among them.

>"Those are firing solutions."

>"Yeah. I noticed." The slicers were already at work.

>"Don't try to own the whole system. Just kill the recognition protocols."

>"Working."

>Outside, ARC-170s continued flooding the station with interference. Inside, targeting markers flickered, vanished, returned—then disappeared again.

>"Royal just dropped." "Acclamators are gone." "Carracks clear."

>A pause, with only the hums of ancient machinery to be heard.

>"Republic IFF is clean. Station no longer recognizes us as hostile."

>The engineer lieutenant stared across the alien displays for another moment before keying his comm.

>"Fleet Command, boarding team. Objective secure. Platform weapons remain operational."

>He glanced toward the firing controls. "They just aren't pointed at us anymore."

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - u/Ok_Day8951 - COVERT ACTIVATION

[redacted]

REPUBLIC SQUADRON LEADER - u/No-Evidence-9519 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Celestial Squadron establishes contact with Fire Team Nightingale and escorts the Republic detachment toward the foundry station. Flights Two and Three prepare a coordinated electronic-warfare screen while General Starflare moves ahead of the formation to probe the station's defences.

SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - u/SeBoss2106 -  PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The 12th Raxus Korps digs in, establishing a defence-in-depth around the Separatist foothold, while the 108th Reserve Division forms a defensive hedgehog anchored against the riverline.

The 37th Special Artillery Regiment is reassigned to reinforce the 14th Armoured Division, which advances north to secure the road, with particular attention given to the bridge near the jungle and the nearby bend.

Separatist forces are additionally ordered to engage any unidentified aerial contacts entering their airspace.

SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - u/141-Ghost-141 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The 3rd Fleet advances north along the eastern edge of the Atragrav cloud while reorganizing two reinforced detachments.

Detachment Cresh reinforces the Vaklu and the Shyyo with the Hawkbat and Restoration, while Detachment Dorn reinforces the Gilded Dagger with the Jos, Victori, False Prophet, Big Shot and Pocket Fortress. Both detachments additionally receive two Vulture Droid squadrons.

Meanwhile, the Restitution and Balancing Accounts open long-range fire against the defence satellite at Mern-41 with limited effect due to the distance and the asteroid field, while Condor Squadron continues reconnaissance across the south-western battlespace.

Fleet Admiral Krosa Lim and Captain Vai Lok depart aboard the attack shuttle Emerald for Atrapos, accompanied by six MagnaGuards, twenty-four BX Commando Droids and Obsidian Squadron's twelve Belbullab-22 heavy fighters.

SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - u/141-Ghost-141 - COVERT ACTIVATION

The Sphyrna-class corvettes Maritime and Karkaris detach from the 3rd Fleet and make for Atrapos, [redacted] [redacted] of [redacted] and [redacted] intended to [redacted] the [retracted].

The corvettes cross most of the distance toward the planet, but are unable to reach the surface in time.

SEPARATIST HEAVY SC - u/SupremeChancellor66 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Vaklu and Shyyyo counterattack the orbital defence satellite, with the faster Shyyyo manoeuvring to draw its fire while the Vaklu delivers controlled turbolaser salvos against the platform's weapon emplacements, attempting to disable its armament without destroying the satellite outright. However, the satellite seems to be unshielded and more frail than anticipated, and is destroyed completely.

Both vessels prioritize repairs to their damaged defensive systems before rendezvousing with the reinforcements assigned by Fleet Admiral Lim. The reinforced Task Force Cresh then sets course for Mern-26, investigating the unexplained changes in the surrounding asteroid fields.

REPUBLIC ARMY GENERAL - u/LemonCake2000 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The 77th Assault Corps consolidates around its original landing zone, establishing a fortified centre of operations at the crossroads south of the desert.

Engineers, auxiliary personnel, vehicles and LAAT/c gunships assist with construction while the 385th Expeditionary Legion moves northwest through the lighter jungle to rejoin the main army.

Reconnaissance elements establish a perimeter around the growing foothold, the 54th Support Legion digs in its artillery formations, and the 21st Assault Legion secures and monitors the roads leading into Republic-held territory.

REPUBLIC LIGHT SC - u/Alt_Historian_3001 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The still-cloaked Oblivion's Emissary moves at maximum speed toward Atrapos, preparing to deploy its Clone Commando complement to reinforce Republic ground operations.

During the approach, the vessel directs its sensors toward the central battlespace, searching for major warships, stations or other contacts of strategic importance while remaining concealed.

[GAR-faction-specific information gathered.]

REPUBLIC SOC/G - u/Codesterv3 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Kabiin-III remains at the Republic landing site while the commandos recover from the assault on the Composite Beam Tower. RC-5384 "Prince" is given a funeral according to the traditions of his former training sergeant while reporting the encounter with the Atrapi Knight to General Vintillia before the unit studies combat recordings from the raid and begins developing tactics and alternative weaponry for confronting cortosis-armoured opponents.

REPUBLIC SOC/G - u/Codesterv3 - COVERT ACTIVATION

Dareth, Iviin and the depleted Bral Squad conduct a concealed reconnaissance sweep around the Republic landing zone, extending their search toward the nearest known settlement.

[GAR-faction-specific information gathered.]

SEPARATIST LIGHT SC - u/AdAdmirable6589 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The cloaked Guilded Dagger advances toward the Republic fleet on a reconnaissance mission, attempting to determine its disposition while remaining undetected.

Meanwhile, the DP20 frigates and Diamond-class cruisers assigned to Detachment Dorn move at full speed toward the foundry at C-24, prepared to deploy security forces and contest the station should it already be occupied.

The False Prophet follows behind, maintaining a position from which it can reinforce either the Guilded Dagger or the foundry group if necessary.

SITUATION REPORT

As the Republic Fleet enters the centre of the battlespace and slice one of the satellites, the Separatist Fleet splits into several smaller flotillas. The defense satellite at Resh-32 is destroyed by the turbolaser fire of the Vaklu while the satellite at Jenth-28 is successfully disabled by the Buzz Droids of the 958th Fighter Wing.

Meanwhile, an unknown sensor ping close to the northern automated foundry have emerged as two Separatist Sphyrna-class corvettes race towards the planet, a flight of Belbullab-22s and a single Nu-class Attack Shuttle following them.

Planetside, several of the famed Atrapoi 'airships' can be seen in the far distance. Size and exact position cannot be conclusively decided, however.

NEXT PHASE

Phase 1 will end on Saturday, the 8th of August:
CET (Central European Time): 21:00 (9:00 PM)
EST (Eastern Standard Time): 15:00 (3:00 PM)
PST (Pacific Standard Time): 12:00 (12:00 PM)

All PA/CAs must be submitted 24 hours before the time limit; so I have time to resolve it. Hard line on this rule!

---

Notes/reminders from the Narrator:
- Humble reminder to read the rules regarding how P/CAs work.
- PA/CAs are always resolved and clarified in chronological order as they were submitted and directly affects how certain events unfold.
- I’m only human after all, so if I've missed anything, please let me know. Any edits or retcons will have to be made the day after, but feel free to comment and I'll get back to you!

RESOLUTION OF PHASE 1 ACTIVATIONS

SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - u/Mattriculated - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Dirge Squadron splits into two six-fighter elements, dispatching one flight to scout the structures at Peth-40 while the second investigates those at Resh-33.

[Faction-specific information gathered.]

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - u/Ok_Day8951 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Republic fleet advances to the centre of the system, rendezvousing with the Lance of the South before assuming a layered defensive square formation between the two largest asteroid belts. Carrack cruisers form the outer perimeter, with Arquitens light cruisers and Dreadnought Heavy Cruisers establishing successive defensive rings around the Venators and Acclamators at the core.

Republic starfighters deploy into a broad combat air patrol, with ARC-170s and Z-95s sweeping beyond the formation to establish space superiority, while V-19 Torrents remain close to the fleet to intercept any hostile strike craft penetrating the outer screen.

SEPARATIST FLEET ADMIRAL - u/141-Ghost-141 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The 3rd Separatist Fleet advances north in a disciplined arrowhead formation, with its heavy warships forming the spearhead and lighter escorts layered throughout the fleet. While Condor Squadron is launched to reconnoitre the derelict satellite at Resh-19, a Sheathipede shuttle carrying twelve B1 battle droids and portable sensor equipment is dispatched to investigate the Orbital Relic:

[Faction-specific information gathered.]

The remaining Vulture Droid squadrons deploy across the upper hulls of the Providence-class cruisers, ready for rapid launch, as the fleet's Munificent frigates activate their electronic warfare suites to obscure the precise disposition of CIS vessels.

REPUBLIC HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - u/Rattfink45 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Lance of the South maintains its combat air patrol while recovering and rotating Squadron A for continued flight operations.

Keeping the Atagrav cloud to port, their long-range sensors monitor for unusual disturbances or visual phenomena associated with starfighters traversing the ionized gas. Crew morale remains high, aided by a fresh supply of coffee. :)

REPUBLIC FLEET ADMIRAL - u/Ok_Day8951 - COVERT ACTIVATION

Republic reconnaissance expands beyond the fleet as Fire Team Nightingale, supported by two squads of Clone Engineers and three squadrons of ARC-170 starfighters, deploys to investigate the Automated Foundry at C-24.

[Faction-specific information gathered.]

Simultaneously, a second engineer detachment is inserted toward the foundry at Xesh-6 under the protection of three additional ARC-170 squadrons, coordinating their approach with General Starflare already operating in the area.

REPUBLIC SQUADRON LEADER - u/No-Evidence-9519 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

General Starflare's reconnaissance force continues its advance toward the Orbital Relic, maintaining its primary mission while responding to anomalous sensor contacts detected aft of the formation.

Astrid pushes ahead in her Delta-7B to scout the route, while a detachment of ARC-170s breaks away to investigate the mysterious blue-spectrum energy signature and re-establish communications with the main Republic fleet if possible. The remaining starfighters continue toward the Relic under heightened sensor alert, preparing for possible hostile contact.

SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - u/Mattriculated - COVERT ACTIVATION

Having completed their reconnaissance, the two elements of Dirge Squadron regroup and advance at maximum safe speed toward Esk-23, reforming over Mern-32 before continuing their investigation of the mysterious orbital contact. IG-L9 briefly considers pushing the droid fighters beyond operational limits but ultimately elects to preserve the squadron's combat readiness.

REPUBLIC LIGHT SHIP CAPTAIN - u/Alt_Historian_3001 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Following final systems checks, the Oblivion's Emissary activates its experimental stealth cloak and vanishes from sensors.

Having notified Admiral Cutter of its intentions, the corvette departs the main fleet to conduct an independent reconnaissance mission along the far reaches of the system.

REPUBLIC SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMANDER/GROUP - u/Codesterv3 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

The Kebiin-III and the Parallax detach from the Republic fleet to accompany the main invasion force, descending with the primary landing wave and establishing themselves at the designated landing zone to support the ground offensive.

REPUBLIC SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMANDER/GROUP - u/Codesterv3 - COVERT ACTIVATION

>Rain hammered against the angular hulls of the two stealth-modified LAAT/i gunships as they skimmed barely metres above the jungle canopy.
The storm had swallowed Atrapos whole. Sheets of water lashed across the cockpits transparisteel. Every few seconds, lightning tore open the night, revealing endless black treetops before plunging the world back into darkness. Thunder rolled through the mountains with enough force to make the troop compartment vibrate.
Inside, nobody spoke.

>Clone Commandos sat shoulder to shoulder along the benches, helmets lowered, weapons resting across their knees. Their armour was slick with condensation, their visors reflecting the intermittent glow of instrument panels. Between them stood Jedi Knight Dareth Zendra, one gloved hand gripping an overhead support as the gunship banked through the storm.

>The pilot's voice crackled over the intercom, "Target in sight."

>Ahead, emerging between curtains of rain, a pale shaft climbed into the heavens.

>A Composite Beam Tower.

>Even dormant, it dominated the jungle, its broad base surrounded by thick defensive walls and squat industrial buildings that had once serviced ancient mining operations. Floodlights should have illuminated the compound. Instead, only a handful remained lit, their beams distorted by the rain into pale ghosts drifting across the courtyard.

>The first LAAT drifted over the perimeter wall as the second followed only seconds behind.
Repulsors dropped to barely a whisper, neither craft switched on landing lights as their skids touched soaked ground almost silently. Before the engines had fully settled, the side doors slid open and Clone Commandos spilled into the rain.

>Squads Grey, Omicron, Bral, Trakad and Talon.

>Within moments the courtyard was alive with silent movement, squads peeling away exactly as rehearsed while the gunships remained crouched in the darkness like waiting predators.

>Then… Movement. A lone figure rounded the corner of a maintenance building. An Atrapoian.

>Broad shouldered, clad in layered steel armour darkened by rain, four muscular arms tightened instinctively around the strange rifle hanging across his chest. Four amber eyes swept across the impossible silhouettes standing in his courtyard.

>For one heartbeat… Nobody moved. Then the warrior drew a deep breath.

>"KRR'SST! CHRRRRTT! KRRRTH!

>His cry cut through the storm like tearing metal as it echoed across the compound. From somewhere beyond the walls came answering clicks. Then another, and another. The jungle answered him as the warrior snapped his autoslugger to his shoulder and squeezed the trigger.

>The rifle erupted with muzzle flashes that exploded white against the rain, illuminating the courtyard in violent strobing bursts. Heavy rounds ripped through the darkness, smashing chunks from walls and sending sprays of wet concrete into the air, but each flash robbed the Atrapoian of his own night vision, leaving him firing into shifting silhouettes between blinding bursts of light.

>A burst cracked back. Blue bolts punched through the rain with surgical precision. The DC-17m spoke only three times, yet the Atrapoian collapsed onto the rain-soaked ground, his autoslugger clattering from nerveless hands. For a single, impossible second, only the rain could be heard again.

>Then, across the compound, klaxons wailed to life.

>"Move!" Dareth's voice carried clearly through the comm channels despite the storm.

>"Grey, Talon, fan out. Hit their barracks, generators, anything that slows their response." Acknowledgements flashed in his earpiece.

>"Talon copies." "Grey copies."

>"Trakad," Dareth continued, turning towards the waiting gunships, "hold the extraction point. Nothing gets near those LAATs."

>"Understood." The squads dispersed without hesitation.

>Grey vanished into the darkness beyond the maintenance buildings, Talon disappearing in the opposite direction as Trakad established overlapping fields of fire around the gunships. Within seconds the once-quiet courtyard had dissolved into organised chaos.

>Harsh, guttural cries rolled through the rain. "KRR'SSK!" "TCHRRAK!" "KRRRTH!"

>The strange language echoed between the walls, answered by dozens more voices somewhere beyond the compound.

>"They're mobilising," Alpha-24 ‘Iviin’ reported calmly.

>"I know."  Dareth pointed towards the looming central structure.

>"Omicron and Bral. With me." The command element sprinted across the open courtyard. Heavy rain hammered against plastoid armour. Thunder cracked overhead, illuminating the beam tower in stark white for a fraction of a second before darkness swallowed it once more.

>Then the shooting began: Autosluggers barked from somewhere behind stacks of industrial machinery.
Heavy rounds tore through the rain with angry snaps, smashing against clone shields in showers of blue sparks. Return fire answered immediately. Brilliant blue blaster bolts streaked through the darkness, their light mingling with the white flashes of lightning and the violent blossoms of muzzle fire until the battlefield seemed to flicker between three different colours.

>The smell of ozone mixed with burning propellant.

>An Atrapoian warrior lunged from behind a loading crane, all four arms wrapped around an autoslugger. "KRRRTH!"

>His weapon roared, but the rounds ricocheted from clone shields as Omicron's lead pair answered with disciplined bursts. The warrior staggered backwards, armour glowing orange where blaster bolts punched cleanly through steel, before collapsing into the mud.

>The entrance to the tower stood open, and Jedi Knight Dareth Zendra crossed the threshold first.
The interior was dim, lit only by emergency lamps recessed into ancient walls. Rainwater dripped from the commandos' armour onto polished stone flooring as they advanced room by room with practised precision.

>"Left clear." "Right clear." "Moving."

>Another defender burst from a side corridor, and then another. Steel armour, four arms and long rifles firing deafening bursts that filled the confined passages with muzzle flashes.
The rounds slammed harmlessly against clone shields while disciplined volleys of blue energy answered them. The Atrapoian armour proved little defence against blaster fire; one warrior pitched backwards across a console, another crumpled against the wall before either could close the distance.

>The Republic advance never slowed, until… "Kandos!"

>A massive shape crashed from an adjoining passage. The Atrapoian hit the clone commando like a charging nexu, knocking them both to the floor. The warrior's four arms became immediately apparent as one seized Kandos' rifle before he could fire and another clamped around his throat.

>A third hammered repeatedly against his helmet while the fourth reached for a broad fighting knife hanging from the warrior's belt. They rolled across the stone floor in a tangle of armour and limbs.

>The clone drove a knee into the warrior's abdomen, but it barely slowed him. The Atrapoian was immensely strong. Pinned beneath nearly twice his own weight, Kandos managed to wrench one arm free and rip the vibroknife from his own chest rig. With a desperate thrust, he buried the humming blade beneath the warrior's breastplate.

>The Atrapoian lurched, and for a single heartbeat he remained standing over the clone.

>Then… SNAP-HISS.

>An orange blade burst into existence. Its warm glow flooded the corridor, reflecting from soaked white armour and polished stone alike. Dareth stepped forward in one smooth motion while his lightsaber described a single horizontal arc.

>The wounded warrior looked down in silent disbelief as the incandescent blade passed through steel, flesh and bone alike. A heartbeat later, the two halves of his body collapsed to either side of Kandos as silence returned to the corridor.

>Rain drummed faintly somewhere far above. Kandos accepted Dareth's offered hand and pulled himself to his feet. Neither man spoke.

>The orange blade remained humming in the darkness, its light dancing across the rainwater pooling on the ancient floor as the commandos pressed deeper into the heart of the tower.

>The blast door loomed at the end of the corridor, a seamless slab of ancient alloy inset with unfamiliar Atrapi glyphs that shimmered faintly beneath centuries of polish. Bral Squad stacked against the wall as Kandos and Twitch hurried forward, magnetic clamps snapping into place as they fixed breaching charges around the frame.

>"Charges set."

>Dareth gave a single nod. The explosion reverberated through the tower like thunder trapped inside stone as the reinforced door folded inward, smoke and dust billowing into the command centre as Omicron surged through first, rifles already raised.

>The defenders barely had time to react.

>Blue blaster bolts slashed across the room. One Atrapoian collapsed over a control console, another reached for his autoslugger before a DC-17m burst caught him square in the chest. A third rushed forward with a vibroblade only to meet Dareth's orange lightsaber in a single decisive stroke. Within seconds the room fell silent save for the hum of electronics and the distant crack of gunfire elsewhere in the complex.

>"Command centre secure."

>Omicron immediately spread through the adjoining corridors, establishing overlapping fields of fire back towards the entrance while Bral remained inside with Dareth and Iviin. Rows of ancient consoles curved around a central holographic display dominated by the beam tower itself. Glyphs danced across translucent panels as indicators pulsed in colours none of them recognised.

>"Can anyone read this?" Dareth asked. A chorus of silence answered him. One commando, RC-2728 "Fuse", stepped towards the primary console, his translator emitting the occasional burst of distorted Basic.

>"...power...stable..." "...mining..." "...containment..."

>Then only static.

>"It only translates spoken language, it can’t input writing," Fuse muttered in frustration. "...it doesn't know where to begin."

>Iviin stared at the sprawling display, following symbols that clearly, maybe rather, represented targeting solutions, power distribution and firing sequences. Dareth exhaled slowly.

>"So much for turning it on the other tower."

>"A job half-done," RC-5530 "Crash" muttered.

>"We settle for denying it to the enemy. Set the charges." The commandos dispersed without complaint, demolitions specialists already pulling shaped explosives from their packs.

>RC-5384 "Prince" remained by the shattered entrance, his rifle covering the corridor. Something felt… Wrong. He frowned beneath his helmet and switched to thermal imaging.

>Nothing, only cold steel. The storm outside had cooled the entire structure until everything merged into the same lifeless shade. Then he noticed it; a silhouette, barely perceptible, five metres above them.
His breathing caught. "...Contact."

>The word had scarcely left his mouth before the shape detached itself from the ceiling.

>It fell like a hunting predator. Prince barely managed to raise his rifle before an enormous vibrosword punched straight through his shield, through plastoid armour and clean through his torso. The impact drove him violently onto his back, the blade pinning him to the floor with a sickening crack.

>The room froze as rainwater dripped from the towering figure's armour as it slowly withdrew the blade. He stood nearly a head taller than the warriors they had fought below, his broad frame wrapped in silver-blue, layered plates unlike any armour Dareth had ever seen. A horned helm concealed his features, save for four pale eyes that regarded the intruders with absolute calm.

>The warrior spoke. "Krrrrrssst... tsssrkkt... kttrrrrrrrrrk..."

>The clones' translators crackled. Static and fragments, and then, at last…

>"...Be gone..." "...or..." "...be buried."

>Prince's body slid from the humming blade as Dareth ignited his lightsaber without a word. Orange light filled the command chamber. He attacked first, but the warrior met him head-on.
Their weapons collided with an explosive crack as the massive vibrosword caught the lightsaber without shattering beneath it. Sparks burst between them. Dareth pressed the attack, driving the larger warrior backwards with quick, precise strikes, but each blow was met with brutal efficiency. There was flourish in the warrior's style, and overwhelming strength delivered through impossibly disciplined technique.

>Dareth finally found an opening, and carved his blade across the warrior's torso.

>It should have cut him cleanly in half, instead, the lightsaber skidded sideways in a shower of orange sparks and for the briefest instant, both combatants stared at the bluish-silver armour.
"Cortosis," Dareth breathed.

>The room erupted when blaster fire hammered into the warrior from every direction. The bolts flashed harmlessly across the strange armour, they forced him to turn and weather the impacts rather than injuring him, but it was enough.

>Iviin appeared behind the warrior almost silently, driving a vibroknife between the rear plates of his cuirass. The Knight lurched, but then turned with startling speed, raising his greatsword.

>"Kssssrrrrt... kssssttrt... krrrssst."

>The translator struggled. "...By fire..." "...and blood..." "...die..." "...soulless copy."

>The blade descended, but not before Dareth stepped between them and had orange meet steel, and for a heartbeat neither weapon moved.

>Then Dareth twisted, slipping inside the warrior’s guard before driving the pommel of his lightsaber into the warrior's faceplate and finally decapitating him with a single stroke. The giant crashed to one knee, and then fell to the ground.

>Silence settled over the command centre once more, nobody spoke for several seconds until, finally, Fuse knelt beside the fallen warrior, studying the unfamiliar armour.

>"This wasn't a simple guard."

>"No," Dareth said quietly, looking down at the giant Atrapoian. "This was one of their Knights."

>Iviin glanced toward Prince's motionless body, still lying where the giant's blade had struck him down.
"Bring him home."

>No one questioned the order. Two commandos carefully lifted Prince onto their shoulders, his blood mingling with the rainwater still dripping from their armour. The chamber remained silent as the remaining demolition charges were armed. One by one, the commandos gave the fallen clone a brief glance as they filed past him, there would be time to remember later.

>Carrying their brother between them, the strike force withdrew through the smoke-filled corridors and regrouped with the remaining squads at the waiting LAAT/i gunships.
As the ramps closed and the transports lifted into the storm, Dareth looked back through the open hatch at the towering silhouette disappearing beneath sheets of rain.

>Less than a minute later, a bloom of white-orange fire tore through the heart of the tower. The ancient structure groaned, leaned, and finally collapsed into its own foundations, its emerald beam extinguished forever as the Republic gunships vanished into the rain-dark sky.

Under cover of darkness, Jedi Knight Dareth Zendra leads a stealth insertion by Grey and Omicron Squads against the Composite Laser Tower at Kresh-36. A communications jammer isolates the installation before Republic commandos breach the tower, overwhelming the defenders and seizing the control room.

However, they are unable to redirect the tower due to the complicated controls, and are therefore not capable of destroying the second installation. Instead, they demolish the captured tower with explosives and exfiltrate to the main landing zone. One Clone Commando, RC-5384 "Prince", was lost when ambushed by an imposing 'Knight Hussar'.

SEPARATIST HEAVY SHIP COMMANDER - u/SupremeChancellor66 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Task Force Cresh advances through the asteroid field at increased speed after the Vaklu temporarily diverts power from its shields to its sublight engines, allowing the heavy cruiser to maintain formation with the Shyyyo. As the Shyyyo's Droid Tri-Fighters approach the ancient defence satellite, the platform abruptly activates, opening fire with heavy turbolasers and ion cannons. The agile starfighters evade the initial barrage, but a concealed bank of concussion missile launchers unfolds, destroying half the squadron.

[This narrative blurb was written by Ahriman, thanks a lot!]

>The Vaklu’s thrusters swelled, the quickly overheating nozzles allowing the massive brick of a ship to stay in formation with its smaller companion. Twelve Tri-Fighter Interceptors raced ahead of the formation bearing down upon the dormant satellite.
Or at least it had been dormant until the massive turret rotated to face the encroaching starfighters, each degree it turned evoking a mechanical click before it finally settled on its angle of fire. The Tri-Fighter squadron formation shattered immediately, deftly dodging the heavy turbolaser fire that spat out of the turret’s barrels a moment later. Likewise the capital scale ion cannons that fired right after were easily outmaneuvered by the Interceptors. The Interceptors reform above the satellite, preparing to dive in for a strafing run while flying above the turret's angle of fire. Suddenly, along the edge of the circular superstructure of the turret concussion tens of missile launchers unfold. The missiles catapult from their tubes, streaking towards the Tri-Fighters who break off their attack in an attempt to evade.
Four fighters are caught in the initial barrage, detonating in their spherical droid brains and sending their curved wings flying in every direction. Another manages to evade its first missile before another arcs behind it and catches it in the engine block, causing it to detonate after a moment of drifting uncontrollably into the void. Another still dodges its missiles but dives into the turret's line of fire and is reduced to atoms as it fails to dodge the heavy turbolaser. The remaining six circle around the satellite, going in for strafing runs that do little more than scratch its metal.
As Task Force Cresh enters the satellite’s firing range it turns its attention towards the Vaklu, raking its hull with turbolaser fire that is just barely resisted by the reactivated shields before they are subsequently deactivated by the turret’s Ion Cannons. The bridge crew of the Vaklu are nearly knocked off their feet as the ship is rocked by the impacts of the turret’s main guns, before abruptly the fire stops as the turret turns its sensor eye to the Shyyyo, hurling bolts of plasma at the corvette.
The surviving droids press their attack, strafing the platform to little effect. Ignoring the remaining six starfighters, the satellite pivots toward the approaching warships, scoring several hits against the heavily armoured Vaklu before slewing its weapons toward the Shyyyo as Task Force Cresh prepares to return fire.

SEPARATIST SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMANDER/GROUP - u/catgirl_of_the_swarm - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Captain Vai Lok deploys an HMP-supported platoon to Unth-11, establishing a concealed observation post overlooking the nearby road network. The droid detachment is ordered to avoid contact wherever possible, prioritising reconnaissance and reporting over direct engagement.

SEPARATIST SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND - u/catgirl_of_the_swarm - COVERT ACTIVATION

While the IG-86 detachment moves to scout and secure the nearby land bridge, Vai Lok leads her Commando Droid squad towards the city to gather intelligence.

SEPARATIST LIGHT SHIP CAPTAIN - u/AdAdmirable6589 - PUBLIC ACTIVATION

Commander Kren Zal orders his Lupus-frigate on a wide flanking approach, using the asteroid field to mask his advance from the Republic. Maintaining strict emissions control, the force proceeds under cloak with targeting systems held offline while missile batteries are brought to readiness.

REPUBLIC ARMY GENERAL - u/LemonCake2000 - PUBLIC/COVERT ACTIVATION

The 77th Corps begins its planetary assault, descending on the planet to establish a secure beachhead across the Dorn/Esk 36–37 grid squares.

https://reddit.com/link/1v8eur4/video/1yr876mxgufh1/player

Under the command of General Eucris Vintillia and Commander Spade, Republic forces rapidly disembark. Although the exact order of battle has yet to be confirmed as not all ground forces managed to reach the planet, current intelligence indicates that the 77th Assault Corps consists of the following principal formations:

The 21st Assault Legion, the 54th Support Legion and the 385th Expeditionary Legion.

[Faction-specific information gathered.]

SEPARATIST ARMY GENERAL - u/SeBoss2106 - PUBLIC/COVERT ACTIVATION

The Separatist Droid Army establishes its primary landing zone at Vorn-11, securing a foothold in the southern hemisphere.

Selecting terrain distant from the Republic's main landing sites, Major General Hyrem Lurker orders his forces to consolidate their position while probing the surrounding region. Reports of internal divisions among the Atrapoians prompt a cautious advance, with reconnaissance and intelligence gathering taking precedence over immediate offensive operations.

While the precise composition of its subordinate formations remains unknown, the current Separatist landing force is known to include the following major formations:

The 12th Raxus Korps, the 14th Armoured Division and the 108th Reserve Division.

SITUATION REPORT

Both fleets slowly creep towards the middle, and each other, while the opposing ground armies have settled in their respective landing zone, far from each other.

As several CIS navy assets discover the hostility of the dormant satellite defenses, the Lupus-class "Guilded Dagger" and the IPV-C2-class "Emissary's Oblivion" both disappear from any and all scanners... Their current whereabouts are unknown, except to their respective captains.

NEXT PHASE

Phase 1 will end on Saturday, the 1st of August:
CET (Central European Time): 21:00 (9:00 PM)
EST (Eastern Standard Time): 15:00 (3:00 PM)
PST (Pacific Standard Time): 12:00 (12:00 PM)

---

Notes/reminders from the Narrator:
All PA/CAs must be submitted 24 hours before the time limit; so I have time to resolve it. Hard line on this rule!
- Humble reminder to read the rules regarding how P/CAs work.
- PA/CAs are always resolved and clarified in chronological order as they were submitted and directly affects how certain events unfold.

Due to balancing issues and an underestimation of the work required to get Ground Combat going, I've decided to start Phase 1 without Ground Combat. So Ground Combat will drop in Phase 2.

For this reason, the roles of Army General for both factions will remain with the original claimant of Phase 0*. All other roles, however, are free to claim as per the rules.*

RESOLUTION OF PHASE 0 ACTIVATIONS

[The entire Resolution section was written by u/Ahriman-119, thanks a lot bruv]

REPUBLIC HEAVY SHIP COMMAND - u/Rattfink45 - COVERT ACTIVATION

>As the Headhunter Squadron circles in to investigate the unidentified green cloud at the tail end of their combat air patrol they ping their sensors to the gaseous mass and receive...Nothing?
This is Fathier-1, I’m not picking up any sensor readings from the cloud, permission to move in for a closer look command?
Captain Antillies’ voice came over the comm to respond with a slight crackle “Authorized, but pull out if there’s any danger to you or your pilots
Falthier-1 responded with a quick “Yes Sir” before banking his Z-95c towards the cloud with his wingmates following close behind.
As soon as the first fighter hits the edge of the field its shields disappear while its sensors register a thousand different signatures that seem to match his own.
“Command, we’re experiencing major interference with our shields and sensors, they seem to be deflecting our sensor pings.”
A burst of static followed by a “Repe– Fal–r Squ–dr– we c–t re-d you” is the only response Falthier-1 receives.
Blast! comms too?” Knowing his wingmates will follow his lead despite the fact that their fighters must be experiencing the same technical problems as his, Falthier-1 banks out of the cloud and into cold space once more.
Falthier squadron returned to the Lance of the South for debriefing, sharing the strange effects the gas had on their fighters.

[Faction-specific information gathered.]

SEPARATIST LIGHT SHIP COMMAND - u/AdAdmirable6589 - COVERT ACTIVATION

The Guilded Dagger breaks from the main Seperatist fleet and burns ahead, It quickly slips out of view as the cloaking field washes over it blending it with the blackness of space. Meanwhile within the ship sensor stations scan for potential hostiles but when they attempt to scan past the strange green gas that permeates the local space all it receives is a null response.

Captain Kren Zal, deciding not to risk potential discovery in case the gas interferes with his cloaking device, orders his ship to steer clear of the cloud and continues to sweep the area for potential hostiles. There are no further disturbances as the ship glides along the edge of the gas field.

SEPARATIST SQUADRON LEADER - u/Mattriculated - COVERT ACTIVATION

Dirge squadron, splitting into two six fighter elements to cover more space scouts north and west of the main separatist fleet though they encounter nothing more than the strange space gas reported by the Guilded Dagger.

REPUBLIC SQUADRON LEADER - u/No-Evidence-9519 - COVERT ACTIVATION

The 149th Fighter Squadron moves south of the main republic fleet, sticking to the west side of the nearby Atagrav cloud while moving toward the strange foundry station.

SEPARATIST HEAVY SHIP COMMAND - u/SupremeChancellor66 - COVERT ACTIVATION

The Vaklu forms up with the Marauder Corvette Shyyyo to form Task Force Cresh. The newly formed task force then moves to investigate the strange defense satellite detected on the other side of the Atagrav cloud.

SITUATION REPORT

Both fleets have finished mobilized, and are ready to deploy further into the Atrapos Star Cluster. Individual ship commanders and squadrons are performing limited reconnaissance maneuvers while staying clear of the Atragrav Gas Fields.

The Dreadnought-class Heavy Cruiser "Vaklu" together with a flight from the 958th Fighter Wing is patrolling ahead of the fleet as the Lupus-class Missile Frigate "Guilded Dagger" is scouting eastward towards the planet of Atrapos itself.

Meanwhile, the "Blue-nosed Bastards" of the Republic 149th Starfighter Squadron is scouting southward towards one of the mysterious automated foundries as the recon flight of the Victory I-class "Lance of the South" finishes its sweep and returns valuable sensor data to its commanding officer.

System Entry Briefing — 20 BBY

The remote Atrapos system has remained absent from galactic affairs for millennia. Hidden beyond the major hyperspace lanes and protected by its isolation, the jungle world has long escaped the attention of both the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.

That changed when extensive cortosis deposits were confirmed beneath the planet's surface.

Within weeks, Republic Intelligence and Confederate espionage independently verified the reports. What was initially dismissed as another unsubstantiated frontier rumor rapidly became a strategic priority. Control of Atrapos, and its seemingly inexhaustible cortosis reserves, could fundamentally alter the balance of the Clone Wars.

Neither side intends to allow the other to claim it uncontested. Now, two rival task forces emerge from hyperspace almost simultaneously on the edge of the Atrapos system.

Initial reconnaissance has revealed a system unlike any previously surveyed. Ancient orbital structures, unexplained energy signatures and extensive defensive installations surround the planet. Long-range scans identify indigenous military activity, yet the civilization responsible appears absent from every known Republic archive.

They call themselves the Atrapoi Tetrarchy.

PHASE 0 — MUSTERING FOR WAR

Phase 0 is the opening phase of Order of Battle II. Before the first shots are fired, each faction must organize its command structure, assemble its military forces and introduce the characters who will lead them into the campaign. This is also an opportunity for players to establish personalities, rivalries and strategic intentions before operations begin.

Phase 0 is a special startup phase. Its rules do not establish precedent for later Phases. Decisions made here, however, will shape the entire campaign.

Each faction may have the following Roles during Phase 0:

  • One Fleet Admiral
  • One Heavy Ship Commander
  • One Light Ship Captain
  • One Squadron Ace Leader
  • One Army General
  • One Special Operations Commander

Roles are claimed publicly on a first-come, first-served basis and must be confirmed by the Narrator before the player may begin acting.

Future players claiming a Role/OC are expected to portray continuity of leadership and remain broadly consistent with the doctrine and personality established during Phase 0.

Each role receives one Public Activation and one Covert Activation in this Phase**.** In Phase 0, these Activations are used primarily to organize military assets, establish command structures and privately submit information to the Narrator where required. The Covert Activation for this Phase will be heavily restrained, please adhere to the information given to you once your Claim have been confirmed.

Players who do not Claim an active Role are still encouraged to participate by creating their own Original Characters, vessels, squadrons or military formations. These submissions form a shared pool of potential commanders, replacements and supporting characters that may be incorporated into the campaign with the Narrator's approval.

How to claim a Role:

To claim a command role, simply reply to this thread with your intended faction and role. For example:

>"I claim Fleet Admiral for the Confederacy of Independent Systems."

or

>"I claim Army General for the Galactic Republic."

Please wait for the Narrator to confirm your claim before posting your Public Activation. A confirmed claim will look something like this:

>Claim confirmed. You are now the acting Confederate Fleet Admiral for Phase 0.
Please submit your Public Activation as a new comment in this thread, following the instructions for your chosen role. If your role receives a Covert Activation or any additional Phase-specific instructions, these will be sent to you privately by the Narrator. Please keep an eye on your inbox.

Once confirmed, no other player may claim that role for the same faction during the current Phase. Roles are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

All Original Characters, vessels, squadrons and formations created during Phase 0 become part of their faction's shared roster.

Although individual players may come and go throughout the campaign, these military assets remain part of the ongoing narrative. Players assuming a previously established role are expected to portray reasonable continuity with the personalities, command philosophies and histories created by earlier participants.

ADDITIONAL OC SUBMISSIONS (REPLACEMENTS)

Once all command Roles have been claimed for Phase 0, any remaining players are encouraged to contribute by creating additional Original Characters, vessels, squadrons or military formations.

These submissions represent potential replacement commanders and military assets. They have no immediate mechanical impact and do not become active unless incorporated into the campaign by the Narrator.

Not every submission will be accepted into the active order of battle. Acceptance depends upon available force structure, campaign requirements and the military organizations created during Phase 0. The Fleet Admiral determines the fleet's composition, while the Army General organizes the ground forces. Consequently, submitted ships, squadrons and formations must fit within those organizations to become active participants in the campaign.

Think of these submissions as contributing to a shared roster rather than creating personal claims. Any accepted OC, vessel, squadron or formation may later be commanded by another player under the campaign's first-come, first-served role system.

Submissions that fill underrepresented roles, such as escorts, auxiliary formations or squadrons, are generally more likely to be incorporated than additional flagship-level commands.

What Happens Next

Once all Roles have been claimed and Phase 0 Activations have been submitted, the Narrator will publish the Phase 0 Resolution.

This marks the formal beginning of the campaign. Initial fleet deployments, army dispositions, strategic developments and the results of all Phase 0 Covert Activations will be revealed, after which Phase 1 begins.

Phase 0 concludes at 21:00 CET on Friday, 17th of July, at which time the Phase 0 Resolution and the Phase 1 Prompt will be published.

The decisions made during the coming hours will shape not only the fate of Atrapos, but perhaps the future of the Clone Wars themselves. The opening moves of the campaign now lie in your hands.

Good luck, Commanders.

In less than 30 hours... Order of Battle II: Shadows of Atrapos are about to begin!

Curious on Order of Battle?
Read the intro post or keep reading:
Order of Battle II is a collaborative strategy and narrative campaign set during the Clone Wars.

Unlike a traditional roleplaying game, Order of Battle focuses on operational command rather than individual heroics. Every Phase, players issue orders as military commanders, coordinating fleets, armies and special forces in pursuit of their faction's objectives.

Victory depends less on writing style and more on planning, reconnaissance, logistics, cooperation and adapting to an evolving battlefield.

You are not writing what happens. You are writing what your commander attempts.

HOW A PHASE WORKS

STEP 1 - Claim a Role

Players claim an available role within their faction. Each role may only be claimed once per Phase and Claims are honoured on a first-come, first-served basis. Wait for the Narrator to confirm your Claim before committing.

  • Fleet Admiral
  • Heavy Ship Commander
  • Light Ship Captain
  • Squadron Ace Leader
  • Army General
  • Special Operations Commander

(Note: Phase 0 will contain special rules for creating OCs.)

STEP 2 - Submit your Public Activation.

A Public Activation is your official declaration of intent.

Describe what you intend to do, how you intend to do it and why you are doing it. Include risks whenever appropriate and do not describe the result. Once posted, Public Activations are considered final.

STEP 3 - Receive & Submit your Covert Activation.

The Republic and the Confederacy receive two Covert Activations per faction each Phase. These are distributed by the Fleet Admiral and Army General, respectively.

Covert Activations are submitted privately to the Narrator.

They may support, expand or slightly modify your Public Activation. They may not contradict it and every Covert Activation must include a meaningful cost, limitation or risk.

STEP 4 - Resolution

After all Activations are submitted or the time has run out, the Narrator(s) resolves the Phase.
These are the internal rules that govern all adjudication:

  • Preparation beats improvisation.
  • Specialization beats generalization.
  • Position beats raw power.
  • Covert actions may misfire or succeed imperfectly.
  • No player declares success, only intent.
  • Writing flair does not trump constraints, but is highly encouraged anyway.

STEP 5 - NEXT PHASE

The Narrator publishes:

  • Updated maps.
  • Casualties.
  • Discoveries.
  • Consequences.
  • Narrative developments.

Then the cycle repeats and the next Phase begins.

BEFORE CLAIMING A ROLE

Roles are publicly claimed at the start of each phase on a first-come, first-served basis.
Unless otherwise specified by the Narrator, roles do not remain fixed between phases and may be claimed by different players.

While roles may be claimed by different users between phases, the assets, damage, and narrative state created by previous activations persist unless explicitly altered by play or the Narrator as a part of a balancing issue.

Every role available has a different purpose. Choose the one that best matches how you enjoy playing.

The Fleet Admiral commands the faction’s entire navy and distributes the Covert Activation while the Squadron Ace Leader commands an elite fighter, bomber or gunship squadron.

The Heavy Ship Commander commands a single major capital ship, while the Light Ship Captain commands a smaller and highly specialized vessel.

The Army General commands the conventional ground forces on the planet of Atrapos and distributes a single Covert Activation, just like the Fleet Admiral.

The Special Operations Commander commands a Special Operations Group that supports the Army General with high-risk missions and deep reconnaissance.

FINALLY - REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN…

…This is structured storytelling with adversarial intent, as decided and written by you, the players. We’re here to have fun and create a compelling story that revolves around our mutual love for Star Wars ships, designs, characters and lore! <3

Curious about the line-ups? Aren't we all!

To be clear, the rules are more like guidelines, than actual rules. They can help you navigate how things will be resolved, and how the Narrators will think/adjudicate, but they're not set in stone.

See you in 30 hours!
Let the battle commence.

8 DAYS REMAIN... until 'Order of Battle II: Shadows of Atrapos' begins, a RPG/RTS play-by-post for r/StarWarsShips!

Order of Battle II is a thread-based RPG/RTS similar in spirit to Town of Salem, or the internet forum-derivative Mafia Universe, and heavily inspired by various game mechanics found in Star Wars: Empire at War, Star Wars: Rebellion and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.

Over a series of weekly threads, players assume the roles of Fleet Admirals, Ship Captains, Squadron Leaders and Army Generals.

Each phase, players issue orders, conduct secret operations and attempt to outmaneuver the opposing faction. The battle is then resolved narratively by the Narrator using established principles, canon/legends feats, maps, previous actions, and the evolving state of the conflict.

Roles are publicly claimed at the start of each phase on a first-come, first-served basis and the first Phase of combat begins on Friday, the 10th of July, at 21:00 CET.

For Order of Battle II, the scope of the battle have been greatly expanded to also include Ground Combat on the fanon planet of Atrapos (a creation of u/Ahriman-119, all credit to him), where the native Atrapoians fiercely will defend their territory against any and all invasion forces.

While the full rules for Ground/Space Combat, creating Original Characters, Ship Modifications and Ship Tiers/Fleet Composition will be revealed and posted at the end of the week, I do have a exhaustive sneak peek for the Lore Dump™ Nerds that want to read up on the planet and species!

I give you 20 pages of world-building, hints at actual gamplay mechanics and observations/recommendations that may serve a purpose during ground/space combat:

Public Copy of "Planetary Intelligence Report: Atrapos"

It contains valuable information about the planet, the species and its native fauna. There's information about the military capacity as well. Consider it an extensive intelligence dossier from where you can draw assumptions and prepare yourself for the coming battle.

Honestly, I spent more time on it than necessary, because most won't refer to it or read it all, but hell, it was a fun writing challenge.

Disclaimer: The dossier reflects the best assessment presently available to Republic Intelligence. Owing to Atrapos' isolation, extensive subterranean infrastructure and numerous unexplained phenomena, commanders should expect portions of the assessment to prove incomplete or inaccurate during future operations.

Shamelessly stolen from Stellaris, just like the Header image.

Ground map

The space map received fair critisism for being inconsistent and low-effort during OoB I, so this time I put a lot of effort into both maps and used various Map Creation tools readily available on the internet and/or Designer to produce two highly detailed maps with a grid-based system so one can determine movement and range easier.

I chose a topographical version for ground combat because I want to highlight the different biomes, since they'll obviously affect how certain ground units operate, while for the space map I just worked with png files in Designer straight up and combined various assets from internet. The backdrop is a NASA photo, while the planet is from Stellaris.

https://preview.redd.it/uaecaycdptah1.jpg?width=6720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef9cc1cfc8bfd10f5181ab90378fd133af63fd14

The approximate location of Atrapos on the galaxy map.

As previously stated, all mechanical rules regarding movement/combat and OCs are coming at the end of the week, so people have a few days to read up before committing!

Any questions or hype comments are more than welcome!

Order of Battle II: Shadows of Atrapos | A r/StarWarsShips Fleet Narrative Game

...Exactly a hundred days after the first Order of Battle finished...

Finally, we have returned.

If you're not caught up on what Order of Battle is, I suggest you take a look at the original posts, which can be found below, or just keep reading:
Intro post, OoB 1.
Final post & and list of links to all previous phases, OoB 1.

WELCOME BACK to Order of Battle II!

OoB2 is a thread-based RPG/RTS similar in spirit to Town of Salem, or the internet forum-derivative Mafia Universe. Heavily inspired by the various contributions by u/Wilson7277 and his Galactic Vanguard, thank you for rallying us into keeping this community alive. This is my way of contributing.

The first Order of Battle lasted almost three months, generated more than 57,000 words from over ten contributors, and culminated in one of the largest collaborative battles this subreddit has seen (the aforementioned Galactic Vanguard being the obvious, and largest, exception).

Over a series of weekly threads, players assume the roles of Fleet Admirals, Ship Captains, Squadron Leaders, and Army Generals.

Each phase, players issue orders, conduct secret operations, and attempt to outmaneuver the opposing faction. The battle is then resolved narratively by the Narrator using established principles, maps, previous actions, and the evolving state of the conflict.

In Order of Battle II:
– Preparation beats improvisation.
– Specialization beats generalization.
– Position beats raw power.

Narrative writing/flair will not overcome poor strategy, but it is highly encouraged nonetheless. There's some amazing writers in this sub, just check the older posts. Like, holy kriffin' shit.

This thread is meant to gauge interest, and to answer any questions, before the first phase of combat begins on Friday, the 10th of July, at 21:00 CET.

ORDER OF BATTLE is...

turn-based, faction-versus-faction narrative game set in Star Wars space/ground combat.
The two opposing sides are:
The Republic Navy (and the Grand Army of the Republic), versus the Confederacy of Independent Systems Navy (and the Separatist Droid Army).

The year is 21 BBY and the Republic is on the offensive, but is lacking vital resources to keep the war machine running.

While preparations are being made to sign a treaty with Malastare, agents of the Republic Intelligence have revealed the existence and location of the planet of Atrapos. Hoping to gain access to the largest known deposits of cortosis in the galaxy, the Republic and CIS quickly mobilize whatever naval assets can be spared and race towards the planet.

The fierce Atrapoians, however, have defended their planet and isolationist ways for millennia, and neither cloned freaks nor soulless robots can be allowed to threaten their ways.

The Republic, the Confederacy, and the Atrapoians will all shape the course of the coming battle. Who prevails will depend on the decisions made by the players.

Not quite just like the simulations, this is structured storytelling with adversarial intent, as decided and written by you, the players.

So, with that out of the way, let's explain the rules. :) Enjoy!

---

ROLES (per side)

Each faction has five roles, and thus five Activations per phase:

Fleet Admiral
– Strategic authority, decides how and when to use their fleet assets.
– Composes the fleet under fixed composition rules.
– Chooses which role receives the Covert Activations each phase.

Two Ship Commanders
– Commands one capital ship each, created outside the fixed fleet composition rules.
– Manages internal issues and ship modifications.
– Defines strengths and weaknesses of their ship.

Squadron Leader
– Commands a single fighter squadron (or wing, within limitations).
– Defines specialized capabilities and liabilities.
– Serves as the faction's primary reconnaissance, interception, and precision-strike asset.

Army General
- Tactical authority on the ground, decides how and when to use their ground assets.
- Has to conduct ground warfare with whatever assets the Fleet Admiral brings along.
- Claimable once ground combat commences (which may take a phase or two).

Roles are publicly claimed at the start of each phase on a first-come, first-served basis. Unless otherwise specified by the Narrator, roles do not remain fixed between phases and may be claimed by different players.

IMPORTANT: While roles may be claimed by different users between phases, the assets, damage, and narrative state created by previous activations persist unless explicitly altered by play or the Narrator as a part of a balancing issue.

Maps

Two public, schematic battle maps, divided into abstract zones (one for the space above and around Atrapos, and one for the ground battle) will serve as the 'fields' of battle.

– Assets occupy zones of control, not coordinates.
– Moving between zones requires a declared Activation.
– The Narrator alone updates the maps.
– The maps affects outcomes but does not mechanically decide them.

Phase Structure

Each phase follows the same basic loop:

1. Public Activations (All Roles)

A user publicly claims one of the five roles, which is then confirmed by the Narrator.

Each role posts one constrained narrative action in the thread, following that phase’s prompt. A so called Public Activation:

A Public Activation is an official declaration of intent, describing what your character, ship, squadron, or asset is attempting to do during that phase. Public Activations must describe intent, not outcome and operate within the limits of the role and the phase prompt. It should be written as a single coherent course of action and include tradeoffs, constraints, or risks where appropriate.

Public Activations are binding. No editing is allowed. If an edit is discovered, that particular activation will be disqualified unless explicitly explained by the writer (or approved by the Narrator).

Example
A user writes in the thread: "I, u/Storytellerrrr, claim the role of Squadron Leader, CIS Navy."

The narrator then confirms the claim by replying to the comment:
"Claim confirmed. You are now the acting CIS Squadron Leader for this phase.

Please submit your Public Activation in a new comment, following the current phase prompt and constraints. If this role is eligible for a Covert Activation for this phase, you will be informed via a private message by the Narrator, so keep an eye on your inbox."

The user who claimed the role then proceeds to post a separate comment, with the public activation:
"Squadron Example 1 conducts reconnaissance sweeps ahead of the fleet while avoiding decisive engagements. This may reveal enemy movements but risks early detection."

2. Covert Activation (Two per Side)

The Fleet Admiral then chooses two roles on their side to receive a Covert Activation.

Covert Activations are more limited in scope, but allow you to conduct extra and/or secret maneuvers, or otherwise act again, outside of the Public Activation.

Covert Activations should describe intent, method, preparations, and, where appropriate, the character's motivations or concerns.

You must also include a cost, risk, limitation, or a tradeoff. You may modify or reinforce your Public Activation if you wish, but may not contradict or override it completely. If you have been forwarded a Covert Activation from your Fleet Admiral, the Narrator will let you know, so keep an eye on your inbox.

The covert activator may freely discuss with the narrator how to formulate his Activation, and what's within the scope of the prompt.

The Admiral does not get a Covert Activation by default, but may choose to give it to him/herself.

---

Obviously, you are free to discuss with your fellow Officers what your course of action should be, before posting your Public/Covert Activations, and are encouraged to roleplay within the constraints of the prompt.

3. Resolution

After all Activations are submitted or the time has run out (24 hours before the next Phase), the narrator resolves the phase by combining:

– Public Activations,
– the Covert Activations as modifiers, not overrides,
– the battle maps,
– consequences, damages, advantages, and emerging problems.

Outcomes are partial, directional, and consequential, not binary wins.

(If a role is not claimed during a phase, it is treated as acting conservatively and reactively, with no special initiative.)

4. New Prompt

The Narrator then posts:
– The updated map,
– narrative results,
– the next phase’s public prompts.

Cycle repeats.

Narrative Resolution Principles

I will do my best to narrate an outcome that's fair and engaging and various Star Wars RTS games will be used for limited simulations, and Canon/Legends feats will be heavily relied upon.

But these are the internal rules that I will be following on top of that, and they govern all adjudication:

– Preparation beats improvisation.
– Specialization beats generalization.
– Position beats raw power.
–Internal weaknesses surface under stress.
– Covert Activations may misfire or succeed imperfectly.
– No player declares success. Only intent.
Writing flair does not trump constraints, but is highly encouraged anyway.

Victory & End State

There is no fixed win condition by default.

The game ends when:
– One faction is narratively or mechanically broken or routed.
– A strategic objective, if explicitly stated, is achieved or lost.
– The battle reaches a natural conclusion.
– The Narrator declares a conclusion because of aforementioned reasons.

---

And that's all, folks :)
