AI in Design Practices.

Curious how everyone here is actually using AI in practice. Not talking about Nanobanana renders or ChatGPT writing emails, I mean tools that have genuinely saved you time or improved your workflow. Dropping a few questions , would love to know what's been up at your architecture/ design practice:

- What AI tools are you using regularly?
- At what stage of a project do they help the most?
- Any workflows you've built that you'd genuinely recommend?

Personally I'm interested in using AI to automate the repetitive parts of practice so there's more time for design thinking and client interaction.

Architect here. Ask me anything.

Hi everyone 😄

My partner and I run a young architecture and interior design practice, and I thought it might be fun to do an AMA here.

One thing we've realised is that for most people, building a home is something they do maybe once in their lives, so it's completely normal to feel lost at different stages of the process.

If you're currently planning a home, renovating one, or even just thinking about it, what's the part you're struggling with the most?

  • Finding the right architect?
  • Understanding budgets and construction costs?
  • Dealing with contractors?
  • Approvals and permissions?
  • Knowing where to even start?

Happy to answer questions, share what I've learned from practice, or offer a second opinion if you're stuck on something.
