Lecture only or Lecture and Lab for DIY postbacc

I am starting a DIY postbacc this year.

I already finished all my basic prereqs in my first undergrad with a C or higher. Now, I mostly want to take upper-level biology courses (like Immunology).

Every class is offered with and without a separate lab. I do not have a job right now, so I have the time, but I am wondering if there is any real point to taking the labs.

My Questions:

  • Do admissions committees care about upper-level labs, or do they only care about lecture grades and total credits?
  • If I skip labs, my fall credit load drops below my 15-credit goal (I already did 8 credits this summer). Is it worth adding the labs just to pad the credits?

For example: Should I sign up for the Immunology lab alongside the lecture, or just stick to the lectures? thank you.

Minor parking garage accident: $1,025 estimate. Should I pay privately or go through insurance? (Florida)

I'm a 22-year-old driver on my parents' State Farm policy and recently had a minor accident in a parking garage. I accidentally hit a parked car at a very low speed while reversing in a parking garage.

I stayed at the scene, found the owner, exchanged contact and insurance information, and filed a police report. No one was injured, and I didn't receive a ticket or citation.

The damage was a cracked rear bumper on the other vehicle (2009 Honda Civic). The owner recently sent me a written estimate from the body shop for $1,025.30 to replace and repaint the bumper.

So far, neither of us has filed an insurance claim. The owner has been cooperative, and I'm considering paying for the repair directly instead of involving State Farm.

My main concerns are:

  • Since a police report exists, is there any realistic chance State Farm finds out about the accident during a future renewal, even if no claim is ever filed during my policy renewal or something?
  • If I pay for the repair myself, should I insist on a signed release of liability/property damage release before paying?
  • At around $1,025 in damage, would you personally pay out of pocket or go through insurance?
  • Since I'm in the "at-risk" bracket for age, since I'm 22, would my premium increase a lot?
  • If I decide to pay out of pocket, I intend to meet the owner and have them sign a Property Damage Release of All Claims Form (Florida HSMV 74014) before I swipe my credit card at the body shop.
  • I don't know if I have any other questions, not entirely sure what to do.

I really, really do not want an at-fault collision on my insurance record. I have a completely clean driving history right now, and am a college student.

Any advice from people who have been in a similar situation would be appreciated.

Has anyone taken College Physics 2 (algebra-based) over the summer A or B (6-weeks)? How hard would it be?

How much harder is College Physics 2 compared to College Physics 1 as a 6-week course (algebra-based)?

Rn I'm in College Physics 1 in Summer A, and I'm about to finish with an A (fingers crossed). And I was thinking of taking College Physics 2 in Summer B so I can finish physics this summer. I feel like Physics 1 wasn't incredibly hard b/c it isn't hard to conceptualize the stuff since we've experienced it in life before, and the math was somewhat plug-and-chug. But Physics 2 has more abstract concepts, so idk if I should do it. And btw, it's with Constance Doty.
