Can we get white theme for website as well?

A bit unusual and offputting that I use main app in light theme but have to use black background on the desktop website.

It felt terrible

Hey guys. I'm sorry to post this horror, but it is what it is. Quick question: is this ruined or could be saved?

Couple days ago tried soldering for the first time, and it was either faulty iron, or faulty solder, or me, or all at the same time.

First time I turned on the iron it was working okay. I didn't know I had to tin it, so I just went around my business unsoldering old stuff. Then I turned it off for the night and next day, when I had to solder on new stuff, the iron was black and absolutely not melting any solder.

After that I've read about tinning. So I cleaned the tip as good as I could and tried tinning, but the solder would simply not melt. In desperate attempt to get at least anything I wrapped solder around the iron and left it for a while. It did not melt. To end the misery of the day I hit 500 degrees to solder some stuff, got it done and put the iron away. I added a plastic cap over it.

The last pictures are from today, iron sitting in a drawer with a plastic lid on, still got some rust on it somehow.

Khm, should I mention the fact that I used soda, water and sponge to get rid of black oxide before trying to tin it again?..

Anyway, many mistakes but it was just not giving up. Solder was kot melting at all even after clearing the tip. Please help identify what the root problem is here and if I could fix it at this point.

Looking for a better alternative of Armand Basi - L'EAU POUR HOMME

TL;DR: Looking for a fragrance that would match Armand Basi - L'EAU POUR HOMME mid and base notes without stingy top notes.

Hello everyone,

I just got into fragrances world consciously recently, so looking if you could help with a pick.

I recently picked up and old bottle of Armand Basi - L'EAU POUR HOMME that I haven't used in like 5-6 years. I had it on my shelf and since I needed a scent for hot summer I decided to give it a go. My experience so far is this:

  • Opening is too stingy, too acidic, too artificial, too alcohol-rich, my brother got super disgusted when he heard the smell right after I applied it and I'm not a fan of it either.
  • The mid tones, after like 30-40 minutes are more pleasant and smell sweet+fresh, it's the same thing as what opening has but without stinging you.
  • the base/ending(after like 1 hour and beyond) is just magnificent, this is my favorite part of it. it's sweet but not overly sweet, just softly, blooms on hot skin very nicely evaporating those acids away. The freshness is not there anymore, but it feels like it turns into a very pleasant evening cologne. One downside is that this smell is very very close to the skin, maybe I'm just used to it, but even when given to a different person to try they said that the smell is very weak and they could only smell it directly from closeup.

Although the bottle has been on a shelf for 5-6 years, but I remember that the opening always smelled like that, and I believe the opening is the thing that was keeping me away from it.

Another interesting observation is that those top and mid notes stay for days if sprayed on clothes, but vanish if sprayed directly on body. Which is also a negative thing, since I really don't like the top notes.

I'm looking for a fragrance for a hot summer that would replicate these exact mid and base tones, but would not give me those stingy opening notes that just provoke rejection. Does anyone have anything in mind?

P.S. Unrelated to what I said above I want to try Mont Blanc Legend Spirit just cause everyone recommends it for summer. Would it match the criteria or is it different?

HGS (PttBank) Top-up is a nightmare, what can I do about it?

Hello folks, asking Turkish truck drivers and logistic company owners.

I'm a truck driver and I carry goods through Turkey. To have the right of road usage I had this HGS sticker installed on my windshield and every time I enter Turkey I have to top up my HGS balance for convenience. It can be done in place(which is not convenient since I'd like to keep cash) or online. And the online service is just astonishingly terrible. Any time I'm trying to top-up my balance, I pass the 3DS check and I get various errors. I tried different VPNs and devices and browsers and nothing seems to help. Sometimes it passes through, but most of the time I get these errors. Most of the time it happens when I'm adding 1000+ TL. The first error is just downright ridiculous, it doesn't even explain what the issue is. The second error is wild since I've used this specific card many times before. Sometimes I get a third type of error, saying my IP address is fraudulent (when I'm not using any VPN)

Is there anything that could be done about this? It's the first time I have to fight a system to give it my money tbh.

GetClera and clera-match email domain warning

Hey folks, just thought I'd share this here. I got an email recently(first one was automatically marked as spam) from Clera employee asking about "position at a certain company" and whether I'm interested. After 1-2 back and forth I realized that the emails are mainly AI-generated, but nevertheless gave it a chance and shared my CV, inviting for a live talk. After which I got an email from "talent@getclera.com" like this(picrelated). I never gave any consent to be signed up for a talent agent, never gave consent to store my CV or share it with an AI model.

The reason I shared my CV was because email contained this phrasing:

>Here's what I'd suggest: if you can share your CV, the team will review it and take it from there.

So, it was intended to be forwarded to the team in a mentioned company, not to store it in a talent pool for an AI agent.

So, just reminding to check out the reviews online for email domains when you get invites to share CVs. Don't be like me.

And for anyone else who experienced this: I'm not familiar with legal side of this, but if you wanna gather and do something about it, I might join (depending on whether I can since I'm not from US).

P.S. This was raised once on r/theprimegen (found through search) but it didn't get much resonance.

Looking for Discord servers for early founders, SaaS and startups [i will not promote]

Hello, I'm an aspiring entrepreneur/product builder. I've read some amount of literature, watched courses and made some attempts at building software products. However, I lack problem-seeking skills. I've recently picked up "Running Lean" and seeing it start with a solution in search of a problem inspired me at first, but it all faded out quickly, since I don't know what to do with my own SISP. I tried listing problems that I have myself and drawing canvases for them, but grinding this on my own feels like I'm walking a crop field blindfolded.

Does anyone know if there are any discord servers dedicated to this, entrepreneurship or saas building or startups? It may not solve the problem mentioned above, but I need a place where I'd be able to communicate to other less and more experienced folks freely in text or voice modes. I couldn't find any Wiki for this sub that might contain it, sorry if I missed it.

Idk how safe it is to post my username here, so I'll just DM if anyone has a suitable server, thank you in advance.

This is mainly addressed towards people who've never been to therapy before and somehow ended being in this community. I found this sub just recently, but now I can't remember how I got here. I know for sure that I was researching related topics and somehow found a post on this sub. Now I wonder how others figured it out, because I've lived for so long not realizing that this is a real common issue and that means there are even more people out there in same situation.

How did you figure it out, what was the process that brought you to conclusion?
