Vintage One Piece at card shows
I came across this today at Cardcon (Melbourne card show). Are you seeing more vintage One Piece at card shows, or still mainly modern?

I recently picked this item up and thought it was pretty cool. It’s a 2002 Naruto vending insert (Japanese). My understanding is that these can get graded from BGS and CGC. Has anyone else picked up any of these? I think they are a cool part of history 😊
PSA were promoting their vault services, and they used a 2005 Luffy Gold Rare PSA10 in the photo.
I am noticing that vintage OP is being more and more accepted by others. It has come a long way in the last 6-12 months
Picked up this vintage Luffy card and noticed it has a spelling error. Instead of saying "Far Away" it says "Far Awey" which I thought was really cool.
This card is from the 2000 One Piece Data carddass master set.
Are there any error cards in Vintage OP that you have found like this? Feel free to share!
Just saw that a One Piece vending machine display - first stage sold for around 10k US.
Most of these Japanese vending displays were either destroyed over the years, or had the bottom section cut from below after use. Finding these today have been incredibly difficult to find.
These vending displays can be authenticated by CGC. A very cool piece of OP history! I like that it’s also got the luffy c01 rookie at the front too.
A couple of huge vintage OP sales from the 2005 One Piece - The Quest Begins set today.
There is definitely a lot more eyeballs and big collectors/money joining this space!
2008 V Jump Fiesta - Goku/Luffy/Naruto - PSA 9
Just a cool looking card 💪
The One Piece Vintage card market has seem some strong sales over the last few weeks. A CGC 10 - 2005 One Piece - Luffy Gold Rare - #Ch001 just sold for $15k AU
it will be interesting to see what a PSA 10 copy of this card will sell for in the future 🙌
One Piece Vintage - AR Formation pack - 2012
One of my favourite vintage OP sets.
Credit to 1onecards on IG for sharing the video 🤘
Photos are from 2012 One Piece AR Formation pack. These cards were made by Bandai and have ‘King Rares’ as the chase cards. It’s a cool part of One Piece history.
The card pulled is a Sanji King Rare 🤘
A huge sale for the 1999 One Piece - Luffy c01 - PSA9.
The vintage one piece market definitely seems to be heating up!
What are you all buying/focusing on at the moment? In my view the rest of the cards in the 1999 Hyper Battle set (even commons) seem reasonably priced to pick up/cards I am looking at
Huge sale for the 2005 One Piece - Zoro Tournament Winner Foil - the final sold price being $10,100US
The demand for low population/scarce cards in vintage OP continues to be very strong.
Is there any other cards or sets in vintage OP that are being overlooked or not getting as much love as it should be?
One Piece Card Game 2003 - BN-07 - Tournament Quiz - Luffy
Love the art and look of this card 🤘 looks even better in a Pristine 10 CGC slab
These two cards are from the 2008 Dragon Ball x One Piece collab from Weekly Shonen Jump 40th anniversary in 2008.
I was very fortunate to receive CGC Pristine 10 grades for these cards. I wonder if One Piece will collab with Dragon Ball in the future or maybe another powerhouse like Pokemon?
I also think the connecting type cards are cool.
Hey everyone,
The OP vintage community continues to grow (we’ve just passed 900 members), we’re making an important change to keep things moving in the right direction.
From this point forward, buying and selling will no longer be allowed in this subreddit.
Our goal is to shape this space into a hub for:
Sharing your One Piece vintage collections
Learning more about rare pieces and history
Discussing market trends in this space
We’ll still highlight notable sales and shifts in the market, but direct selling posts will no longer be permitted.
We believe this will help keep the focus on what makes this community special—knowledge, appreciation, and passion for One Piece vintage.
We’d love to hear your thoughts. If you have suggestions for what you’d like to see in the sub going forward, drop them in the comments below.
Thanks!
