I recently took a temp contract with to do wireline in Alaska from November to April. I was curious if anyone has any advice for my first time in deadhorse. What did you guys think about your time there? what were the camps like? Any QOL items you would recommend bringing, what gear do they provide(they told me they provide everything i don’t believe it)

The company is paying for travel to and from home with a 3 and 3 schedule. The work is mainly going to be pipe recovery and open hole logging. Personally Im excited about the opportunity to learn some new things and experience a different kind of wireline than what I do in the DJ

Im looking at buying 2013 from a friend. He got the car with 188k and has done some upgrades and maintenance on it. It has a malone 2.5 tune. He has done a fully valley reseal along with other basic maintenance oil, brakes, fuel filters, etc. He also has a cp4 disaster kit and SUSTdi parts to install in the valley(unsure what this means). It needs 1 new injector, the window shade motor needs some work, it needs a new wind shield, and it has dent on the left side rear door.
Im not sure what exactly i should offer him for it. Ive been wanting to get a cayenne for a while now and this seems like a good opportunity to get my first reliable porsche

I was curious what you guys do for food on long hitches. I personally find it hard to stay away from the gas station and fast food after I run out of my meal prepped food. I was wondering if anyone has some advice or food thats quick and easy to make in a hotel.

Today I went to start my 87 944s to take it to my storage unit and it would not start. It has spark, the firing order is correct 1-3-2-4. But I don’t think it’s getting fuel. My dad and I cracked the return line and no fuel came out when we were cranking. Im kind of stumped I think is either a speed and reference issue or something in the fuel system, it doesn’t sound like the fuel pump or injectors are going but I have tac bounce when it cranks. Any ideas on what it could be or where to start?
