question about how awards are handed out in JLIEC

so we'll receive shortlisted results on July 7th (July 6th for me rn), so it'll tell you if you're shortlisted or not. And then october?? or in a few months we'll find out the actual awards? Like whether we get commendation, high commendation, very high commendation or 3rd, 2nd, 1st or grand prize?

thought about the jli interview

i was thinking about the interview because planning to do it tomorrow after i reread my essay and note down some things about it. lowkey wheres the people who did public policy q2 wya please send prayers /silly /j

but like doesn't it give you 30-45 seconds to think about your response, what if someone just uses that time to throw the question in ai. and then repeat what the ai says?? isnt that very possible 😭😭

someone out there bound to do this right

does anyone have advice for the JL interview

I'm planning to do it today or tomorrow and I did public policy Q2.

So far I haven't really seen anyone from public policy discuss their experience so I am kind of worried haha. From what I know:

  • First question is why I chose that subject/specific topic
  • Next questions will be based off:
    • what i said in previous questions
    • asking me to elaborate on arguments/logic in my essay (eg. restate thesis)
    • related real life examples?? of public policy i assume, to test my knowledge in that subject
    • counter arguments and how you would respond to them
    • or just taking something from your essay (eg. a person mentioned) and hyperfixating on that?
  • But might throw you repeated questions, like previous ones but reworded to throw you off??

If any part of my understanding is wrong please let me know ^^' I appreciate any advice !!

i keep seeing posts debating whether it is a scam or a legit competition (hashtag kalakar), and im starting to believe that it is a scam because ive registered for the competition and as per their website, a submission link is sent within 48 hours of payment. however it has been over 48 hours, no submission link. all ive received is confirmation of payment (the receipts). I've contacted them via instagram & email this morning but no response yet.

ive seen a lot of positive experiences with this competition so im not sure if something went wrong on my side hm.
