3 Mustard Taste Test

First time trying these three mustards: Maille Dijon Original, Woeber's Hot & Spicy Mustard, and Kosciusko Spicy Brown Mustard. Delivery system was Kayen jumbo beef and pork skinless hot dogs. I rate them all delicious.

I am usually a spicy brown mustard person. I found the Woeber's had the most kick. The Maille had a wonderful smoothness to it. I want to try it on a turkey sandwich. Kosciusko is a solid spicy brown mustard. I recommend them all.

St Joseph's sub (Italian) Virgilio's Italian Bakery Gloucester, MA

Worked a job site in Gloucester, MA two days last week. The site was 2/10 of a mile from Virgilio's. Both days' lunch was Italian subs. Ham, capicola, mortadella, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions, tomatoes, oil and seasoning. And it's a bakery so it is a fresh sub roll. One of the best Italian subs out there.

Virgilio's calls their classic Italian sub a St Joseph.

Apple Cider Donut bread with Cabot sharp white cheddar

I stopped by Tendercrop Farm in Newbury, MA. At the in shop bakery they had Apple Cide Donut bread. I had never seen this before. I purchased a loaf and thought, what better way to try this then to make grilled cheese. I paired it with Cabot sharp white cheddar and Truly salted butter. The result was not great. The bread was kind of grainy and very sweet. It did brown up nicely. I rate it 7/10.

Tuna on plain bagel

Plain bagel toasted from a small local chain called Bagel World, tuna salad from another small local chain called JPace, Mike's Amazing mayonnaise, Mount Olive Majestic Picklery maple bourbon bread and butter chips, baby lettuce.

Toasted bagel twice. Applied a layer of mayo to each half, then applied a layer of tuna to each half. A layer of pickles on each half, then lettuce in the center. I find that the tuna has better grip when adjacent to the toasted bagel. Otherwise, it tends to squirt out as you bite into the bagel.

Hot day yesterday, so kept it simple

With record breaking heat in Massachusetts yesterday, I kept dinner simple. Martins potato bread, Certified Angus Beef London Broil roast beef, Cabot white sharp cheddar, Mike's Amazing mayonnaise, McCormick black peppercorn grinder, Cape Cod sea salt and vinegar potato chips on the side.
