I'm going to buy a Realme GT 7 soon, but I read many posts about the battery draining and heating and I'm wondering how bad it is.
I currently have an old Realme 7 5G. The last update is UI 3.0. It always worked fine and it starts heating only when I use videogames like Genshin Impact, but it never lagged. However, it's time to get a new phone because it's starting to break after so many years (it was released in 2020). The connection is getting unstable and the start button is breaking.
According to many websites, Realme GT 7 has a top processor, so how is it possible for it to overheat and have battery draining? Is it really that bad or are people exaggerating? If I buy it I will have to keep it for at least 4 years, I can't buy a phone that is already worse than my old smartphone.
Questions about Realme GT 7
I'm going to replace my 5 years old smartphone soon and at the moment I'm interested in the Realme GT 7, but many things have changed during the last years.
My questions are about:
- headphones support
- alarm clock
- gaming/overheating
I noticed Realme GT 7 doesn't support headphones and that's a pity because a couple years ago I bought some expensive professional headphones and I don't want to go back to my potato air pods... Is it only Realme or did most companies remove the support for headphones?
The alarm clock of my current phone (Realme 7 5G) is able to turn on the phone on its own. Is it still possible? I usually turn off my phone during the night and then it turns on by itself in the morning to wake me up.
I sometimes play a game (Genshin Impact). I do not intend to use the maximum settings, but I would like to use the medium ones without overheating the battery. My actual phone becomes fire, especially during summer but I'm aware it's a potato phone nowadays. Tbh the processor of Realme GT 7 looks pretty good, but I read some previous posts suggesting the Realme GT 7T. Is it only to get the maximum performance or is the Realme GT 7 really not suited for videogames?
Do you remember other particular small changes? (like the one about the alarm clock)

Lohen's talents are 1/9/6.
Artifacts: Rising Winds with atk/cryo/crit dmg
Stats with Missive Windspear:
- 2276 Atk
- 56,7% crit rate
- 215,9% crit dmg
- 117,5% ER
Note: Skyward Spine obviously has 8% extra crit rate and the attack depends on the base attack of each weapon. White Tassel capped the crit rate, so I had to change the artifacts stats. In the end I removed 3% crit rate, 9,9% atk and I added 7% crit dmg.
The team is:
- Lohen C0R0
- Nicole C0R1
- Xilonen C0R1
- Dark Durin C2R1
The rotation is: Nicole EQ, Durin EQ, Xilonen E, Lohen E CaCa E CaCa E CaCa E CaCaCaCa.
First of all: I found out that Charged Attacks deal way more dmg than Normal Attacks.
The difference is so relevant that even weapons like White Tassel (48% NA bonus) and Skyward Spine (12% NA speed) deal more DMG with charged attacks instead of normal attacks.
Also, the burst at the moment is a DPS loss, but maybe it's because I didn't level up this talent yet.
Most of the DMG comes from Durin, so I presume that's the reason why the weapons are pretty close to each other. Unfortunately I don't have his BiS weapon, but considering it's the only weapon that buffs charged attacks, I suppose it will make a relevant difference.
DPS summary:
- Staff of Homa: 186k
- Skyward Spine (charged attacks): 179k
- Missive Windspear: 175k
- White Tassel (charged attacks): 173k
- White Tassel (normal attacks): 150k
- Skyward Spine (normal attacks): 145k
- Beginner's Protector: 141k.
In the end it turned out the base attack of the weapon is not that impactful, I guess it's because Nicole already buffs it and other supports debuff the enemy by a lot. Basically, Lohen's a driver and its base attack is only one little element of the entire DPS.
It would be very helpful if some C0R1 owner can try the same rotation with both his BiS weapon and one of the other listed weapons, so we can see the difference.
We can only walk and even so the game does not record our video because the cutscenes are pre recorded by Mihoyo. I think it's probably one of the laziest events I've ever seen in this game 😭
