What does the future of the FP look like?

Lately I’ve noticed a lot of exciting open source hobbyist projects using the FP, and it got me thinking about how the camera will hold up in the long term.

Though I’m biased, I really believe that even though it’s been discontinued, the FP, and especially the FP-L will remain not only an incredible value, but also one-of-kind tools for those of us looking to shoot photos or make films without all of the bells and whistles found on modern cine cameras.

Is asking to change my rent payment day considered unusual or bad in some way?

Last year I returned to Ireland after living and working for many years in America. Got an apartment thanks to a family connection, but for some reason, right from the beginning the property manager for the building has treated me in a very off manner that has never made sense to me.

For example before moving in, I provided her with absolutely all of my financial records from the states, showing that I made good money and have very decent savings, but she still has always treated my partner and I like we're irresponsible broke college students, rather than two thirty-somethings who previously rented in the hyper-expensive San Francisco Bay Area for nearly a decade.

This treatment has taken the form of frequently asking me about how I'm managing financially, being concerned about my partner finding a job, and other things that to me are just a bit rude/invasive.

Anyways, last week I sent her a message asking if I could change my rent payment day, as I'd recently accepted an offer for a new position where I get paid literally one day before rent is due (on the 24th). To this, she has left me on read for a full week, when she usually gets back to me after a few hours.

Am I breaking some unspoken rule here? I told her it was no problem either way, as it's just a simple preference for me to pay my rent after getting paid, but I don't know with this person.

Powerful Windows PC randomly freaks out while using Blender (basic modeling, no rendering) leading to the need to constantly restart PC.

The cursor moves at a completely normal speed, but the rest of the OS begins moving at a speed of around one frame every 10 seconds. Sometimes Blender will work fine for an hour or two before it happens, and other times It'll only work for a few minutes. This all started happening relatively recently when I upgraded my GPU and power supply.

I'm on Windows 11 and have all of my drivers updated. Specs below:

GPU: MSI 3080TI

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

PSU: CORSAIR RM850x

Gaming performance has been completely normal, and I haven't been able to replicate the issue on any other creative applications including Adobe's 3D/other creative apps. It seems to be only Blender and DaVinci resolve bringing on this issue.

Any help would be very, very appreciated!

Certain creative applications (Blender, DaVinci Resolve) cause Windows to suddenly slow down to a crawl and with no way to recover except rebooting.

For context, I don't speak Portuguese and have never been to Brazil, but I really love the music of Milton Nascimento, Elis Regina, and others of that era. I even listen to really old genres like Choro and have a huge amount of respect for Brazilian music.

Anyways, I recently had lunch with a young-ish Brazilian couple and when one of them mentioned they were from Minas Gerais, I replied "like Milton Nascimento!". The guy was kind of confused, and when I clarified that I meant the musician, he didn't seem to know who he was.

I know it's silly of me to assume anything about a place I've never been to, but I was a bit surprised as I had thought that Milton was a pretty big deal.
