Noise in my apartment is absolutely wrecking my focus and I’m so tired of fighting my own environment

I don’t know how to explain this without sounding dramatic, but the noise in my living space is making my brain feel like it has 47 tabs open and every single one is playing audio.Traffic, hallway sounds, people talking outside, building creaks, random thumps from neighbors — it’s not always loud, but it’s constant. And once I notice it, I can’t un-notice it. I’ll sit down to work, hear one sound, and suddenly my focus is gone. Then I get angry because I’m behind, then I get tired because I’m angry, and the whole day falls apart.I’ve tried noise-canceling headphones, soft music, white noise, and changing where I work. Sometimes it helps, but sleep headphones get uncomfortable after a while, especially when I’m already overstimulated. I’m wondering if smaller focus earbuds, calming audio earbuds, or noise-canceling earbuds would be easier to use throughout the day without feeling like I’m wearing “gear” all the time. For other ADHD women or noise-sensitive people, what actually helps when you’re stuck in a noisy home and can’t move right away? I don’t need a perfect setup. I just need something that gives my brain enough quiet to function.

How do you reduce city apartment noise without feeling totally cut off from everything?

I live alone in a city apartment, and the noise is starting to wear me down. It’s not one huge problem, more like a constant mix of street noise, people in the hallway, footsteps upstairs, and random music from nearby units.I’ve tried earplugs, white noise, closing the windows, and even adding a heavier rug. Some of it helps, but I don’t love feeling completely blocked off from the world. Since I live by myself, I still want to hear important stuff like my phone, the doorbell, or something unusual happening nearby.Has anyone found a good middle ground? I’ve been wondering if open-ear sleep earbuds, noise-reducing earbuds with transparency mode, or something similar would help lower the background noise without making me feel unsafe or totally isolated. Not looking for perfect silence, just something that makes the apartment feel calmer while still letting me stay aware of what’s going on.

Bridesmaids, what’s the BEST gift you’ve ever received?

I’m looking for gift ideas for my lovely bridesmaids. I asked my mom for suggestions, and she mentioned covering their hair or makeup costs for the wedding. But i still want to give them something extra so they know how much I appreciate them.

Does anyone have anything that they gave to their bridesmaids that they loved?

I’ve been messing around with some old iPhone 6 and 7 units lately. Usually, for iCloud bypass/Activation Lock, I’d go the manual route with a custom ramdisk or Silver, but the success rate is so hit-or-miss depending on the macOS version you're running.

I recently tried out Passixer on a few of these legacy devices. I was skeptical, but it’s actually a solid wrapper for these exploits. It handles the recovery/DFU handshake much more consistently than the manual scripts I’ve been using. For anyone here who is trying to recover their own old hardware and doesn't want to spend 4 hours debugging dependencies on a Linux distro, it’s a surprisingly decent shortcut. Has anyone else compared the success rates of these automated unlockers versus manual SSH/Ramdisk methods?
