Shipley Nature Center wheelchair accessible?

I'm looking for fun outdoor spots to take my mother, who is 85, in fragile health, and uses a wheelchair. She has Lewy Body Dementia and very limited mobility, so taking her out is a big deal that requires a lot of planning.

I know the Shipley Nature Center mostly has trails covered in wood chips, but are there areas that are more accessible? We wouldn't go through all 18 acres anyway, but I'm hoping that there are some interesting things close-ish to the main building that we could explore. We'd be there about an hour.

Are the center and gift shop alone worth the trip? Do the best things to see require long distances on the trails?

Thank you!

Number 75 on waitlist for Anatomy/Physiology. Do I have a chance at all?

Hi guys. I am new to OCC (Going back to college after 15 years for the SLPA program!) and I need a refresher on waitlists. I am currently at #75 for Jill Parsell + Sally Ahad's Biology A221. Do I have any chance at all of getting in, even if I show up to class on the first day?

Also, any advice, wisdom or warnings about the following classes and professors is much appreciated:

- The aforementioned class that I probably have no chance of getting into :)

-Medical Terminology w Guido Sendowski

-Principles and Practices of Teaching with Jenny Chaiyakal

Thank you!

Jaime

Help me create my wedding playlist!

Hey, guys! I'm looking for some unique song suggestions for one of my wedding playlists. This is the music that will be playing during the reception dinner.

Picture it: Sunset, a botanical garden in Arizona, a casual/quirky wedding with guests in Hawaiian shirts, thrifted vintage mugs and bourbon glasses as guest gifts (+ temporary tattoos of our cats), prickly pear margs, and everyone having a grand time.

I'm going for a tiki/instrumental/elevator music/surf rock/ latin/ classic jazz/ bossa nova vibe, if you can believe it. Here is my playlist so far:

  1. All My Loving - Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass
  2. Latin Golightly - Henry Mancini
  3. Jungalero - Les Baxter
  4. A Man and a Woman - Ferrante & Teicher
  5. Till There Was You - Peggy Lee
  6. Ladyfingers - Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass
  7. Caravan - Chet Atkins
  8. Quiet Village Bossa Nova - Martin Denny
  9. Bonzai Washout - Dick Dale
  10. Wicked Game - Messer Chups
  11. Moonglow & Love Theme - Morris Stoloff
  12. Shooting Star - Les Baxter
  13. Summer Samba (So Nice) - Walter Wanderly
  14. Lollipops & Roses - Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass
  15. On The Street Where You Live - Peggy Lee
  16. The Hukilau Song - The New Hawaiian Band
  17. The Enchanted See - The Islanders
  18. Theme from "Endless Summer" - Sandals
  19. Plantation Inn - Mar Keys
  20. Green Onions - Booker T. & The M.G.s
  21. Tequila - The Champs
  22. So This is Love - Dave Bruebeck

Any suggestions are very appreciated!
