Countryman club Lonodn?

Hi all,

I’m new to MINI and was wondering if there are any Countryman-specific or general MINI clubs in and around the South West London area, either here on Reddit or on other platforms.

It would be nice to meet up and make some friends, go on drives, admire each other’s cars, and just do the usual stuff car clubs do!

Would love to hear about any groups or meet-ups you’d recommend.

First Mini- Big change

Hi all,
I’ve just bought a new 2026 MINI Countryman S with the Level 2 option, and it seems like a big upgrade in terms of tech and features compared with my BMW 3 Series Shadow Edition. I did my research, spoke to you guys, and didn’t find any issues or negative comments that would have changed my decision. Considering that my older car lacked some basic features such as a reversing camera, front sensors, auto-folding mirrors, and Apple CarPlay, the move was definitely needed.

That said, despite having the same engine as the BMW X1, it feels quite different because of the height, gearbox, and just the overall design of the car. I was wondering if anyone else felt this massive change initially but eventually got used to it?

Sale advice

Hi all,
This isn’t an advertisement. I’m genuinely looking for some advice on what I should realistically expect to get for my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve got a 2018 BMW 320i Shadow Edition with the M Sport package (brakes, suspension, and steering), and it’s done just under 20,000 miles.
How much do you think I should expect to get for it in the UK?

Thanks in advance!

Car for life?

When you bought your brand new, or new to you, MINI and had driven it for a couple of years, did it become a car you wanted to keep forever?
If the need arose, would you buy other cars but never sell your first MINI?

Does owning a MINI have that kind of effect on you, where it feels more than just a car?

Countryman SE 2026 help

Hi all,
Could you please help me by answering the questions below honestly? This will be my first ever MINI and my first electric car, and I’ll be switching from a 2018 BMW 320i. Also, I’m going for the Level 1 pack.

  1. Is the car powerful enough? Do you notice any lack of power on hilly roads, especially when it’s fully occupied?
  2. Are you happy with the infotainment system? Have you experienced any lag or freezing? Is controlling the AC through the screen annoying, or do you get used to it?
  3. How is the car on longer journeys? How have you found the charging time, charging experience, and overall efficiency on long-distance drives?
  4. If you have the Level 1 Pack, how would you rate the speaker quality?

Thanks in advance!

Practice to FP&A

Hi all,
I’m thinking about moving from practice (management accounts and final accounts preparation) into an FP&A/industry role, partly because I’m finding the work repetitive and partly due to the salary difference.
I’m not in a rush to make the move, but I’m still unsure how successful the transition will be and what I should know or prepare for beforehand. What skills, knowledge, or experience would you recommend I develop while I’m comfortable in my current role, so that moving into a completely different position is as smooth as possible?

Thanks in advance!
