Ivabradine starts working only 3–4 hours after taking it?!

Does anyone else feel like Ivabradine starts working only 3–4 hours after taking it?

It takes a while before I feel my heart rate actually go down after I take my dose.

Increased Ivabradine to 5 mg and now I’m scared to sleep — are these heart rates too low?

I was diagnosed with POTS and my doctor prescribed 10 mg of Ivabradine, but because I have a lot of anxiety around medications, I only took 2.5 mg for about two months. It didn’t help much — my heart rate would still rise easily and stay around 80–90 even while sitting, and I constantly felt shortness of breath.

A few days ago I increased it to 5 mg once daily, and it definitely lowered my heart rate a lot, but now I’m honestly really scared. My resting heart rate while sitting is around 59–65, and during sleep it drops to around 53. I’ve become afraid to sleep because of it.

I also feel strangely calm/light physically, almost “too calm,” and that has increased my anxiety even more. Has anyone else experienced this on Ivabradine? Are these numbers considered normal or too low?

Honorlock

My professor sent an email saying he has to review the Honorlock recordings and flags from the final exam before posting final grades. Does this mean people are in trouble automatically if they got flagged, or is this normal?🥹

Hi everyone, I don’t know what’s happening to me and I’m not diagnosed yet. It’s 3:30 AM right now and this happens to me almost every night. I wake up suddenly from sleep with a very strange feeling in my throat. It’s hard to describe, but it feels like dryness or something rough, almost like there’s dust or sand in my throat. This makes me start coughing immediately, and then my heart starts racing very fast. I also feel short of breath, like I’m choking or about to die. It’s extremely scary. This always starts with that rough/sandy feeling in my throat while I’m asleep, then I wake up coughing and feeling like I can’t breathe. I’m really scared and I can’t sleep because of this. Has anyone experienced something similar? What could this be?

Has anyone else experienced their heart rate going really high just from coughing, even once? Like 140+ or even 160 sometimes? It scares me a lot. Sometimes I wake up from sleep because I cough and my heart rate suddenly jumps really high. Is this normal with POTS or has anyone experienced something similar?

i have been having some scary episodes and I’m trying to understand what’s going on. Sometimes I wake up from sleep with a light cough, or a weird feeling in my throat that makes me cough. Right after that, my heart rate suddenly jumps to around 150–160 bpm. I also feel a strong heat in my body, nausea, and like I might faint, and I get an urgent need to go to the bathroom multiple times. The high heart rate lasts about 30 minutes then slowly comes down. I was recently told I might have POTS, but these episodes feel very sudden and intense, especially from sleep. Has anyone experienced something like this? Especially the cough or throat feeling triggering a strong heart rate spike?
