First Cartier Purchase!

Just bought my first Cartier ring during my Paris layover! I’ve had the classic LOVE ring on my wishlist for a while, but I honestly wasn’t 100% sure I was going to buy it when I stopped by the Cartier boutique at Paris CDG during my layover.

I ended up having such a great experience that I went for it. The SA was incredibly patient and never made me feel rushed or pressured. Since this was my first Cartier ring, she walked me through everything and let me try on as many options as I wanted. She brought out different sizes so we could figure out the best fit and showed me the different metals so I could compare the white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold in person.

She was also super informative and explained things I wouldn’t have even thought to ask about, especially sizing and how things like swelling can affect the fit.
I ended up choosing the classic LOVE ring and I’m so happy with it. I really only went in to look since I had some time to kill during my layover, and somehow I walked back out with a Cartier bag lol.

10/10 experience at the CDG boutique. Such a fun and unexpected first Cartier purchase. ❤️

Purchased my first Chanel in Paris on my birthday!!

A few weeks ago I posted asking for advice about buying my first Chanel in Paris. I wanted to come back and share my experience now that I’ve officially joined the club. 🖤

I ended up purchasing the Medium Classic Flap in black caviar leather with gold hardware from the boutique at 19 Rue Cambon during my birthday trip to Paris last week.

Based on some of the advice I received, I decided to book an appointment in advance. When I arrived, I was asked to wait briefly before being assigned a sales associate. Once I met with her, I told her what I was looking for and she took me upstairs to browse. My SA was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and never made me feel rushed. She showed me several bags and accessories, and even took the time to show me pieces I was simply curious about. She answered all of my questions and made the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Since it was my birthday, she also gifted me a Chanel lipstick, which was such a thoughtful touch.

I know I’ve read stories from people who felt intimidated or uncomfortable while shopping at Chanel, so I wanted to share a positive experience. I genuinely didn’t feel intimidated at all. Everyone I interacted with was kind and welcoming, and I never felt pressured or judged.

The entire experience exceeded my expectations and honestly ended up being one of the highlights of my birthday trip. It was the perfect way to celebrate, and I’ll always associate this bag with an amazing memory in Paris.

Thank you to everyone who shared advice on my original post!

First Chanel purchase in Paris (Medium Classic Flap) — any tips?

Hi everyone!

I’ll be in Paris next month for my birthday and I’m planning to purchase my first Chanel bag. I’m hoping to buy a Medium Classic Flap in black caviar leather.

I was wondering if anyone has any tips for the boutique experience in Paris. Do I need to make an appointment in advance, or is it generally okay to walk in? Are there certain boutiques that tend to have better stock or shorter wait times? I’m definitely hoping to get it at 31 Rue Cambon lol.

I’m planning to shop early in my trip in case I need to visit more than one location, but I’d love to hear about others’ experiences and any advice you wish you’d known before purchasing your first Chanel in Paris.

Thank you!

Mini Anjou: Burgundy or Blueberry Purple?

I’m planning to purchase a Mini Anjou next month when I go to Paris and would love some opinions from those who own one.

I was originally set on black because it’s classic and goes with everything, but I’m trying to step outside my comfort zone and stop buying only black and neutral bags. Now I’m torn between burgundy and the new blueberry purple color.

For context, I wear a lot of black, white, and neutral tones, so both colors would probably work with my wardrobe. Burgundy feels a little more timeless and versatile, while the blueberry purple feels unique and fun.

For those who own either color (or have seen them in person), which would you choose and why? Any regrets? Which one do you find yourself reaching for more?

Would love photos too if anyone has them!

Restaurant Suggestions for Birthday dinner

Hi everyone! I’m going to be in Paris in June for my birthday and would love recommendations for a fun birthday dinner spot for my friend and me.

I’m looking for somewhere with a lively atmosphere — good music, fun energy, maybe even sparklers/birthday presentations coming out during dinner. Think upscale/fun vibes rather than super quiet or overly formal fine dining. Budget isn’t really a concern since it’ll just be the two of us.

Open to anything from trendy Paris hotspots to chic restaurants with a party vibe. Bonus points if the food is actually good too lol.

Thank you!
