Goal weight achieved

After 15 months, I’m happy to report I’m steadily at my goal weight. SW: 225 lbs CW: 165 lbs. I literally never imagined I’d be this weight again. I thought it was impossible. I’ve always been an active person and my numbers were generally good, so I thought this just must be how I look.

It feels so good to not shop in the plus size section anymore. Oh, and too actually be able to wear vintage! My body hurts less when I ask it to do more, which I’m also very appreciative of.

Stuff I don’t like… I do sometimes just straight up forget to eat, and I am not a nice person when that happens. I’m much sleepier than I was before, I nap on the couch pretty frequently. I have some loose skin I don’t love, though I’m happy to report the crepey skin on my neck has mostly disappeared after moisturizing well for several months.

I’m very grateful I had the opportunity to take this medication.

Feedback Sought: Road to Hana 2 Girls 1 Honda Fit

I’m feeling pretty good about most of our trip plans, but most unsure about our two day road to Hana trip, since there’s so many mixed feelings.

Friday: gas up at Costco, pick up camping gear
Twin Falls hike
Wailele Farm Stand
Pua’a Ka’a Wayside Park
Hanawi Falls
Hana Farms
Overnight camp at Wai’anapanapa/Black sand beach

Saturday:
Pipiwai Trail hike
Pools of ‘Ohe’o
Wailua Falls
Homoa Beach
Garden of Eden

Are there any must sees I’m missing? And pieces you’d nix? Yes I have confirmed tent camp reservation .
Thank you for your help!

Make sure you’re eating enough

I can’t sing Wegovy’s praises enough for what it’s done for my relationship with food. There didn’t used to be a time I didn’t think about food constantly. While eating, I would be thinking about what I’m going to eat next.

That said, I had to get my bloodwork done this morning, so I had to fast. I did have time to go for a run before my appointment. Typically before my morning run, I have a coffee with half and half and some sweetener, and a banana. I honestly thought it would be fine! I mean, I’m definitely thinner, but no one would accuse me of not having fat stores to pull energy from.

It was not fine. I wasn’t feeling great at the end, but made it back to my house okay. While talking to my spouse about how I didn’t feel good, I got dizzy, said “uh oh” and really thought I was going to faint. Luckily (? I guess?) instead of fainting, this triggered a panic attack. Super.

All this to say: you are powered by calories, so make sure you’re eating enough to sustain your activity level. Don’t let this happen to you.

Casual Tuesday

Because I guess no one wants to sit in a windowless conference room arguing the details of grievances with me on a perfect beach day? Weird.
Today’s theme is texture.

All White for Summer

I’ve been following a “shop your closet” influencer on socials and finding her daily themes really helpful in stepping out of my usual formulas. Plus it’s been fun to pull out some stuff that’s been hiding in the back for a while now. Happy Monday everyone.

I’ve been telling myself that the balloon pants trend is for young people but damn if I don’t love them and the nostalgia for less responsible times in my life they bring.
